@maamawaabangi home now. I test negative for pre-e which is good news. I was just told to take it easy and come back if I continue to have a headache, blurry vision, or any other of those type symptoms. I have an appt 11/16 so I'm supposing they'll check me then...and I might end up back in triage, or maybe I'll be fortunate to stay out of there until we're having a baby. Prayers are definitely appreciated.
Still have a headache. BP is looking good when I check it, but headache continues. Sometimes it will go away for a while but it always comes back. Pretty annoying. Today I took a nap to encourage it away. Just woke up and no such luck.
So, in addition to carpel tunnel in both hands, I'm now developing tarsal tunnel in the same foot that I broke the toe in. My heel alternates between hurting really badly and going numb. I'm kind of a mess these days.
@DiFazette no they never did, it was briefly discussed but never mentioned again. In hindsight I should have mentioned it again myself, but after 6 hours in l&d I was desperate to leave and I didn't. I've thought about calling my OB but I'm on the fence about it since I see them again on Wednesday. My BP today is back 120/80 and sometimes a little lower. Vision's not blurry today, either. I'm just feeling my way around this, not sure if it's just a headache. Not pregnant I was prone to them, but this whole pregnancy I've been pretty much headache free. It's been four days now that I've had it off and on, so I feel like it means something. Not sure.
@Austenista - if it were me I'd probably call. Even if there's nothing to do right now, they should be able to tell you what things to monitor for and what other symptoms might be concerning to them.
@Austenista they wouldn't let me leave the hospital before my headache was under control even though I had no proteins and my pressures were 'okay' for me which is 140/high 80's. They said the headache can be the only factor before the others present. Don't mean to be an alarmist, but do yourself a favor and take this seriously.
@Austenista I also was not allowed to leave until my headache/migraine was gone. it added two hours of monitoring to make sure me and the baby reacted ok, but totally worth it.
@DiFazette@sourlemon that's so interesting and different with how they acted about mine. I kept mentioning the headache and they kept forgetting about it and acting like it wasn't a big deal. One time one of the nurses said she was going to ask what they wanted to do about the headache and then never followed up on it. I laid there for six hours because and they changed shifts by the time they sent me home the headache had faded and I was so anxious to get out of there I completely forgot about following up.
This isn't migraine territory - pain wise it goes from a 2-5/6 at most. Sometimes it will go away and then discreetly come back again. It's like a niggling, lingering annoyance. In the morning it's not there but usually shows up by 10-12. I've been wracking my brain trying to figure out what else could be causing it. I'm not tired, I'm sleeping through the night and taking 3 hour naps during the day. My diet hasn't changed, though I could definitely be doing better on that front. And DH won't allow me to do anything after my triage trip the other day so I have been taking it super easy. I'm stumped.
@Austenista, glad that your other symptoms are alleviated, and I hope that the headache goes away for good too. Any possibility it could be related to either dehydration or allergies/sinus issues? In any case, I'd definitely call the doc/nurses line back since it's persistent.
@Austenista - is there anything new in your routine that you are taking/eating/drinking? I used to get headaches from a certain fish oil supplement that I took. It took FOREVER to figure out. Most people apparently don't get headaches from fish oil. But I stopped it and they went away, and went back on it and they came back.
@Austenista mine was certainly a migraine with visual and sound stuff. I went home when it was down to a headache level 2 (aka to me a nap and Tylenol would finish knocking it out). but all migraine symptoms had to be gone including the higher blood pressure.
Has your vision changed a lot? I know mine has and if I read or spend too much time on the computer I start getting headaches and need to take a break.
@penelope4612@sourlemon it's possible my vision has changed, I hadn't considered that. I do spend a lot of time in front of the computer lately too for lack of being allowed to do much else by concerned DH's orders. Doctor recently upped my dose of thyroid meds to a pill and a half over just one pill, that could also have bearing, I suppose. I have the plant nanny app on my phone that tells me how much water I need and reminds me to drink it. I am always a little shy of my goal and could be more intentional about hitting it every day. My diet hasn't changed but I went to the store last night and only bought healthy stuff for this week because we've been eating pretty much whatever for a while now. Never fear, DH will probably march me back to L&D this weekend if it doesn't go away though.
I have had a lot of headaches this pregnancy and discovered that my neck needed to be adjusted. Literally, it was instant relief and I've not had fit come back other than once and I went to have it adjusted again, and still no headaches! I was so amazed. I have only been adjusted one other time in my life for a pinched nerve... and am slightly skeptical of chiropractors in general for some reason. It helps to find a chiropractor who adjusts for headaches or the "cervical" area of your spine.
Btw, when I have guests for thanksgiving, I'm so saying I have a headache and going up to my room for quiet time. I'm sorry for your real headaches and migraines though. My hands keep going numb when I raise them above my heart. And my BH are driving me crazy.
Luckily DH wasn't home so I was spared that embarrassment. I've had my share of snisses but this was the first real accident. I was in the kitchen thinking, I need to go to the bathroom then I just did. Not cool.
My symptoms this weekend are some of those obnoxious "Is this early labor?" symptoms. Yesterday around 3pm, I started to feel "weird" suddenly. I had a back ache so horrible that I was nauseous. My skin felt tight and sore, and my whole body cavity just felt "full," like my uterus was pressing against my throat. Tried walking around, tried laying down with a heating pad, nothing helped. Then I started getting cramping and painful BH contractions, but they never became regular. I woke up a few times in the night with contractions and vomiting, and then woke up this morning with contractions. They reappear now and then, but again, nothing timeable. Back still hurts, still feel nauseous, and still vomiting, but I don't seem to have any of the more famous "markers" of early labor (mucus plug, water breaking, timeable contractions) so I am probably just experiencing the joys of the 9th month. I am definitely feeling unpleasantly pregnant today.
Well. For four nights in a row I woke up at 4 am with awful cramps in my left calf and for the past two days I have had it wrapped as the result of that. My muscle hurts so bad, it feels torn but I'm thinking I might just be acting like a drama queen. Will definitely have the doc check it out Monday! In other news, I lost my mucus plug tonight! Woo!
**forgot stuff**
Also, threw up in my mouth several times today. Thanks reflux!
@MissLeighAndBabyG This just happened to me too - I even went to the ER yesterday to rule out a blood clot, because the pain just wouldn't go away. They told me to drink more water and eat more bananas, and it's finally getting better. Hope your does too.

It's a little better today, except this morning I had a cramp in my right calf. I know I'm seriously dehydrated, I've been showing tons of symptoms (dark yellow pee, dry mouth and throat, dizziness, cramping, etc) but my ob isn't concerned! Wtf? My old ob would never have allowed this to progress to this point. But at almost 38 weeks it seems pointless to switch now. I'm going to let him have it tomorrow at my appointment so maybe we can at least get the puking under control.
@MissLeighAndBabyG Okay seriously, screw what your OB thinks. If you're that dehydrated you need to go get fluids in L&D.
He's absolutely worthless as an ob. As soon as I get on my new insurance in January I'm going back to my old ob. She's 45 minutes away but definitely worth it! As for the time being, I'll go to the er if I have any more dizziness (it's been a little over a week since the last time) but until then I'm stuck chugging fluids at home (my insurance is awful, thankfully not for long though).
*to add*
He wasn't my first choice, he was just the only one who could take new patients at the time.
@MissLeighAndBabyG Most of the time if you are past 20 weeks the ER won't see you for anything, they will just send you to L&D. So I wouldn't bother waiting around in the ER, I'd just go to L&D and get taken care of.
In other news, the vomiting has become so severe since Thursday night that my tongue is bleeding from the acid exposure. I don't even really know what to do for it. I don't think it's emergent enough to see L&D but my OB's office is closed and their on call nurse service gets answered out of state and is just a headache in general to deal with. So that's my weird symptom of the day.
@ashleaf2018 you are a trooper. Have I said that before? I'm sorry your pregnancy has involved so much vomiting. It makes me appreciate my numb hands and backache. I wish I could push a magic button so that you don't have to vomit anymore! It will be so nice when we all have our babies and start to feel human again!

Seconding this. At this point in pregnancy you need to go to L&D for dehydration issues. They'll give you IV fluids and do a NST. I'm sorry to say this but your OB sounds like a moron in the hydration front.
@yellingbanana Only 2.5 more weeks left til my c section! And hopefully he'll come sooner than that, it'll be nice to just have newborn baby snuggles after this is all over and no more nausea and vomiting
I just had a piece of my molar break off while eating. And it doesn't even hurt, which I feel is a bad sign. I havent been to the dentist in quite awhile but sounds like next week when I'm off that's where I'm headed!
I'm counting this as a symptom because baby is stealing all my calcium?
@SmashJam OMG how weird..me too just about 2 hours ago but its on a tooth I already had a crown on or some restoration. no pain either but edges are sharp. going to see if my DH dentist will see me quick tomorrow. hopefully they can do something to get me thru till after i deliver.
Oh my gosh! I just had an epiphany! I've been getting heartburn and acid reflux 'spit ups' in the evening. But I just realized that on the nights I drink coconut water- I don't get heartburn or acid reflux! So I looked it up... Coconut water: “It also has a good amount of electrolytes, vitamins, minerals and chlorides.” It is also suitable for people suffering from acidity and heartburn. Says Arora, “The pH acidic level in the body turns alkaline when you drink coconut water and that's why it's good for acidity.”
@yellingbanana coconut water is good for a lot of stuff! I have it on hand for the reflux too! ...I used to use it for killer hangovers doesn't resolve my reflux issues but it usually helps.
The last few nights I've had minimal sleep, whether I'm throwing up, coughing from acid, or my new symptom - leg cramps. Been eating a banana every night but still happening. Ugh!
I'm exhausted. My hips and my shoulders hurt so much at night I wake up every hour or so to change my sleeping position. I can't wait to sleep on my stomach again!

Re: Symptoms - November Edition
Thanks for checking in on me. Hugs.

@allicat89, I can commiserate whole heartedly, minus the vomiting.
