@mysteryship they make them. my grandma had a few when she was alive. they were like a hard plastic 3/4 tube with strings for pulling. you put the sock on it, then your foot in the tube, then pull and tada.
Swelling. Even my life saving compression socks are pretty worthless now. Reflux overnight Wrist pain (since week 20...not carpal tunnel...some other long name diagnosis) Insomnia Fatigue Head in my hip, feet in my ribs. BH especially while straining to stand up from sitting.
I'd continue the list but I think that's a sufficient vent. Ladies, we're. almost. there.
Starting to get uncomfortable sitting up straight in office chair because belly gets in my way.
And for a first world problem/symptom....DH and I have a sedan and an SUV and neither is mine or his, we generally switch off evenly. I'm so uncomfortable getting in and out of the sedan at this point that I'm refusing to give up SUV - it's like I'm squashing baby every time I plop myself into the seat
-Baby boy has been crawling up into my ribs overnight- so in the MOTN i have to get up and walk around to let gravity help pull him down some -the typical numb hands, swelling, crotch pain, walking with a limp -Starting to get strange looks from people due to my size.... -I can't be on my feet for much longer than a 1/2 hour- which is really frustrating -My house is a disaster due to the above and the unable to bend over factor- that's a symptom, right??
I think baby/organs/something is pinching a nerve somewhere. I have a small little spot on the top of my bump that goes tingly or numb a lot depending on how I'm sitting. Weird.
@ashleygorokhovsky we have both as well, and DH insists on the sedan when we go out places (even though the SUV is much nicer). I finally had to tell him that he wasn't doing me a favor by using the lower vehicle. He thought he was being helpful, but I was SO uncomfortable.
@brittnic86 I was just going to say that joint pain jn my hands is my most noticeable symptom now.
Nausea and vomiting - only when I take my prenatal, it doesnt matter the time of day and I've tried multiple types/brands.
Increase in BH
Lower back amd hip pain like whoa
Baby dance parties between 6 and 9 pm.
Also, this might be tmi, does anyone else have a serious increase in movement when they try to poop? I had to stop earlier today because she was so active it was distracting me. I was worried I was doing something that was hurting her!
@brittnic86 yes!! I think it's from swelling?! I didn't really notice it until I had DH rub my hands and owwwww/feel good!!! (I could only get about 2 min from him but).
Serious stabbing butt cheek pain. What the hell is up with that! Like it should be in my lower back but nope, the ass cheek is apparently better. So random and awkward and thankfully only on occasion but seriously?!
Sciatica Cramping Back pain Tired legs Heart burn Vomiting Wrist joint pain BH Insomnia Hot flashes Belly on my lap When will it end???? Dear child, please come out! It's a nightmare getting in and out of my car.
Swollen feet and hurting knees (my tibia is out of place in my knee and not enough cartlidge behind it for any kind cushion or anything and then one hamstring is too tight plus there's a bunch of other stuff wrong with my knee that the sports medicine doctor said I needed either surgery or physical therapy to correct. Lightning crotch, I think I'm having Braxton Hicks contractions and shortness of breath and lots of pressure down below and then I think my hips are shifting to spread out because I feel jolts of pain and a little more moody than normal. I think baby might be coming earlier than his due date though because the doctor said he is a week ahead growth wise which is good.
Belly is preventing me from being able to get as close to my desk as I want to. Abdominal soreness - either feels like it's bruised, or that I just did an intense ab workout. When writing or chopping food for long periods of time, my finger tips go numb. Restless leg syndrome something fierce. I just don't know what to do when them when I am trying to sleep. I guess I sound like an extremely overweight man when I eat due to not being able to breathe well (something sweet my DH told me this weekend). Turned on all the time. Tired of peeing all the time.
Random question that I'm wondering if anyone else is experiencing or has experienced with other pregnancies. A rash.
I started getting a rash last Wednesday just above my belly. By the afternoon it was also on the upper part of my chest. I thought it was dry skin so I rubbed belly butter into the areas. By Friday it was on my lower back, outer hips and a little on my neck. I couldn't get in to see my OB or Midwife, so I saw my family doctor instead. She told me I had a yeast infection. Which I thought was weird because it wasn't in any of those hot/sweaty areas. I chalked it up as a weird pregnancy thing and they instructed me to take Lamisil since they didn't want to give me steroids.
I have no other symptoms and have been doing what they have instructed, but it is now all over my body except my face, hands and feet. So I talked to the on-call OB today and she said to stop taking Lamisil and use Benadryl cream, and to talk to my midwife about it on Monday when I am already scheduled to see her.
I've retraced my steps over the last week and a half and haven't been exposed to new/different foods, chemicals, animals or anything that I can think of that would give me an allergic reaction. It's definitely not poison ivy or oak (hard to get it around this time of year up here any ways). I'm totally puzzled. And miserably itchy.
@ajstevenson have you done any resaearch on PUPP? Could be the culprit - I wouldn't think a yeast infection would spread over your entire body but as we discuss daily, pregnancy is weird!
Anyone else experiencing dull period like cramping? I'm 34wks on Thursday and today I've had pretty constant dull cramping. It's not really painful, just annoying. I called my OB and the nurse said to just drink lots of water and stay off my feet and if it's still happening tomorrow morning to call back. I'm a FTM so it's all new to me and I hate not knowing what to expect!

I have had this and my OB told me they are "real" labor contractions but usually due to dehydration and not bad if they are not changing your cervix at all. So I second the staying hydrated and putting your feet up!
So this morning my BP has me a little worried combined with a headache I've had since yesterday and my vision's blurry. Yesterday my stomach was pretty upset too. Last time I checked at home which was before my last appointment, but understandably always lower at home, it was in the mid 120/80's. One reading was 124/86 and that was a little higher for me but not the highest I've been getting. At the doctor it goes 130's over mid 80's to low 90's. OB says she likes my numbers at home better because I'm more relaxed/natural, etc. etc.
Anyway this morning I've checked 3 times (several minutes in between) and got 135/92, 135/94, 144/95. Each time I took it, it was higher. Typically every time I take it the numbers go down not up. Highest numbers I've ever gotten at home. My pulse was in the 110's too when it's usually in the 70's. My OB doesn't open for another 30 minutes anyway, but I think I'm going to check it again at 11 to see if it's still up.
I'm thinking I should be somewhat concerned, but trying not to overreact.
@Austenista those pressures are not concerning at all to me (but I'm not your doc just someone who's been through a lot and reads a ton about it) but your headache and vision are. Pre-e can be a direct result of BP rise but BP can also be the last thing to show signs. I'd call for the two other reasons alone.
@DiFazette I checked again, numbers were a hair lower but still higher than usual so I went ahead and called to tell them. Now I just wait for them to call me back, so we will see what they say.
@Austenista what did they say? I'm heading to the doc at 2:15 for a headache that won't quit. My pre-e panel bloodwork from Monday came back clear but they still want to see me.
@DiFazette I just got situated at L&D for monitoring. My blood pressure was getting higher every time I checked it and still feeling foggy and headachy...so here I am. Thanks for checking on me. Baby looks great she says so now I just wait, I suppose.
Still at L&D. They did blood work (took two tries and I almost got sick. I hate when they can't find a vein. Also there's blood all over my sheets now, yeesh). Now we are waiting for it to come back. Otherwise I'm just laying here playing on my phone. Said there was a trace of protein in the urine but she didn't really feel concerned about such a small amount. I think they're communicating with my OB via phone on whether they want to give me something for my headache. I kind of hope they do. Looking forward to getting sent home to take a nap.
@mamax2 hey! I'm still here. They lost my urine sample so I'm having to drink some water and try to get another one for them because naturally as soon as I went to the restroom they told me. On my back propped up I was still getting 140/90, which they don't like. New nurse came and improved conditions considerably by helping me get comfortable with all these machines. Anyway, on my left side it's reading more 120's over 70's. I'm super uncomfortable laying in this bed, it's killing my pelvis and the boy hates these machines so much he keeps moving away from them and they have to adjust everything constantly. They won't know anything without that elusive urine sample though.
Let's hope that the lower readings are accurate. And of course they'd tell you about the lost sample as soon as you just peed. Hopefully you'll be out of there soon.
