Today i fainted. I was on site for a building systems demonstration & handover to the end user. The heating has been on full blast for the past 2 weeks to dry it out properly & there were about 10 people crammed into a small entrance lobby & id been standing for about 2 hours & it was all a bit much. Got some fresh air, water & something to eat & feeling ok again now.
The muscles in my hands are soooo tight lately. I can't make a proper fist without really stretching out my hands. I bought a stress ball yesterday, I'm hoping that will help a little bit.
I have been feeling super hormonal the past few days and it is getting really hard to control myself. I may or may not punch the next person who tells me how good I look as if I'm supposed to turn into some kind of troll.
Also I've started burping a lot. Fortunately they're not big loud burps but it's really annoying.
@Janefelicity - yikes, glad you are ok!! My back has started to hurt on and off and I am getting insomnia again....laying in bed thinking about anything and everything baby instead of sleeping lol
Thanks ladies, it was like one of those feels like slow motion things you can see happening but do nothing to stop it. Pretty embarressing as one of the electricians caught me on the way down
I have started waking up with numb and achy hands. No matter what side I sleep on, I still feel like it's hard to make fists and the numbness lasts a while after I get up in the morning. I'm thinking it's carpal tunnel?
@JanefelicityOh my goodness, I'm glad someone caught you and you are alright!
@madamerwin I am also "snissing" on occasion. Not fun.
My latest symptoms this week and last week is that the nausea has gone way down, which is awesome! Still taking diclegis twice daily and most days phenergan once, but that is way less than at the peak.
To replace the nausea, I am now constantly hungry. I feel like the literal human version of the very hungry caterpillar - I eat, then within 1-2 hours I am starving again.
Per our 1st Bradley class last night, I'm supposed to be aiming for 100 grams of protein a day, so I need to find more protein snacks. The only things I normally eat along that line would be cheese, apple with peanut butter, or a boiled egg. Anyone have other great high protein snacks?
@WinchesterGirl - I start every morning off with a protein smoothie because I struggle with getting enough otherwise. I try to keep it as real-food based as possible: Sunwarrior's Warrior Blend protein powder, PB2 (peanut butter powder), almond milk, a banana and some ice. I have a hard time eating real foods till I wake up a bit... but I can drink this in the car on my way to work and it's 23g of protein.
@Steelerfan78 My doctor diagnosed me with Carpal Tunnel with the Phalen's test which you can do at home pretty easily, then he just had me do over the counter wrist braces and that resolved the issue for me. Generall Carpal tunnel is going to be your thumb and next three fingers, the pinky is unaffected, if your pinky is affected it could be a pinched Ulnar nerve.
I'm incredibly anxious. Probably from the election drama though, hopefully it passes soon. I am still throwing up every morning, and this morning was so bad it triggered a nosebleed. Happy Monday to me. Does anyone else have a super bad pinched nerve from the pregnancy? The skin of my left thigh is totally numb, with lighting pains underneath. It makes it really unreliable for stairs and such, and is quite painful. If anyone else has it please let me know what you do to make it manageable! My OB gave me pain pills and I already do the pelvic floor strengthening exercises in my usual yoga routine. Thanks-
@WinchesterGirl for extra protein I eat Greek yogurt and beef jerky. Costco makes a really good, relatively inexpensive (compared to other brands) jerky that's not too tough to chew. It's a great low-fat, high-protein snack.
+1 to peeing a little when I have a big sneeze - lovely! Also lower back pain and being generally fatigued all the time and short of breath. I was walking our dogs in the canyon by our house on the weekend, and it is pretty steep hills - and I'm huffing and puffing at a snails pace, and an elderly couple comes up behind me and passes me at a really fast clip. Nice.
I have acid reflux and heartburn....24/7 . I get it every pregnancy but usually it's a gradually thing. this came on out of nowhere and nothing works . I've used every thing possible and the only medication that works I am allergic to (prescribed in the states worked with ds2 but the Canadian version gives me horrible hives)
What do you mean by this @PerraSucia? lol I want to know if it's what's going on with mine. My H looked at mine a couple nights ago and was like "wtf is that? You didn't have that with the other kids."
@Janefelicity that sounds awful! I'm glad you're feeling better.
@PerraSucia +1 to elaborating if you feel comfortable. I noticed a little bump on my nipple the other day, forgot to ask the doctor when I was there yesterday.
I'm feeling pretty good. I have about an hour long commute and tend to get BH when I'm driving, which is kind of weird and unsettling. I'm starting to notice a lot of discomfort after being active/working out in my hips, back, and groin but trying to push through and stay consistent.
It's kind of funny, I feel like I could say literally anything at the doctor's office and they say it's a normal pregnancy symptom
Me: "Well, I've started sprouting a third arm in the middle of my forehead." OB: *nods sagely* "Ah yes, pregnancy arm. Very common. Should resolve after you deliver."
I'm guessing she's talking about the little bumps around your areola? I think they secrete natural oils to cleanse and keep the nips lubricated... at least I hope that's what she's talking about?

If that's what it is I've had that for months! I guess we'll have to wait until west coast morning for the big reveal from @PerraSucia.

YES! Or if you ask Dr. Google it is either cancer or pregnancy

Hoping that's what it is because I've had those for awhile now too. I have just stopped questioning small body changes like that at this point haha
+1 for Braxton Hicks, which although occur regularly at this point don't generally make me think twice.
Last night however ever I had 2.5 hours of downright uncomfortable ones - the weirdest part is they were off to one side. After my first kid (Braxton Hicks daily and full on prodormal labor for 2.5 weeks - I really thought I was a Pro), but these freaked me out!!
Anyone else having dry mouth? I drink alot of water throughout the day, but I noticed that especially during the night I am waking up with a mouth like the savanna desert and occasionally during the day I get dry mouth too.
This may sound silly and FTM-ish, but is there a point where you guys get concerned with HR? I've been dizzy to the point of almost passing out and feeling super heavy and wet noodly in my arms and legs all day, I haven't done anything strenuous at all, but I've felt as though I've ran a mile. I've been lying down for about 45 mins and still have a resting HR of 112+. Maybe it's nothing, but I'm irrationally worried because this has yet to happen to me in pregnancy. ETA: I forgot to add, this has all been accompanied by a big, awesome migraine since yesterday.
@BlondePeanut yeah I've been having dry mouth for like 2-3 months now. It is awful at night. And coupled with the massive amounts of snot I've been producing, it sucks waking up in the morning having your throat caked in dry snot. I also drink a lot of water during the day but it doesn't seem to help. I don't notice my mouth being dry during the day but I do notice I need chapstick a lot more. I guess I don't have any advice but I feel ya girl!
@LivingLaVidaGinger Have you called your doctor to see what they think? I had issues with HR and issues where it feels like my heart is skipping a beat. They sent me for an EKG that day and I have a follow-up in 2 weeks where they will probably have me wear a heart rate monitor. My doctor thinks it's probably just the way my body is reacting to the increased blood flow, but we want to rule out any potential heart issues. I would give them a call!
I'm getting pretty sick of these nosebleeds. I've got way more snot too so I'm constantly blowing my nose and many times that seems to start a nosebleed. At first they were like once a week but for the last couple weeks it's been one a day and today I've already had 2. I'm also dealing with a pregnancy tumor as the dentist called it on my gum right next to my front tooth that bleeds a ton every time I floss and brush or if I eat food that it comes in direct contact with like an apple.
