how old are everyone's los and what solids have you done?
at four months he told us we could start cereal. I got one small container of oatmeal cereal and he HATED it.
he is now 5 months and like a little bird when we are eating. I always put him in his high chair with us during meals and he is super into it. I am debating starting some solids so I thought I would see what everyone else is doing. He still hates the cereal but I haven't tried anything else yet.
Also is is anyone else doing BLW??
nws
Re: Solids??
she's firmula fed so I'm skipping cereal all together
Oddly enough my pediatrician was ok to start oatmeal or rice cereal if we wanted, definitely not pushing, but told us no fruits or veggies until 6 months

mine told me I could start cereal at four and more at five but only if he was into it. I originally planned to wait until 6 and fully jump into blw but he seems to want to eat so bad I've been considering trying some baby food now.

I also don't think Savannah is quite ready yet, I'd like her to be more interested and to have more trunk control first.
And yes, everyone is free to judge my craziness :-P
Baby #2 Due 3/7/20
I was thinking about buying some spoons soon and having her play with them.
I also want to start putting her in her high chair during dinner time so she gets used to "sitting with us" now that she is able to sit in a chair with some help.

My husband gave Cameron some prune applesauce the other day.

We're holding off on veggies until month 6.
We sprung for the baby Bjorn high chair and I LOVE it. It was expensive but it folds so flat for storage and takes up little space in general. It is quite sturdy for its size. She's very supported in it and so far likes being in it with us when we eat.
Edited to add: it travels well too. We took it to my FIL for a birthday dinner this week and it was super light and easy to cart around.
Our pediatrician said like 30-45 min after a feed. It's just getting then used to eating right now and it's not meant to replace nursing for a few more months
