*lurking from TTA* @eggplantface I thought I was the only one. My waxer also has PCOS and has been TTC for a while. We've talked about everything from Metformin to temping. It's so funny because none of my close friends know about my TTC efforts but she does. It probably isn't normal, but I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one. Also, in response to your favorite comedian- I'm so jealous that you got to see Mitch Hedberg. He was so funny and by far one of my favorites.
Welp I'm out ladies. Had a huge temp drop yesterday morning and I knew it was coming. AF arrived this morning. It was fun enjoying a pretty chart while it lasted. GL to all of you lovely ladies!!!
@BertieMeetsGertie I am in the same boat girl. Sorry for what you are going through. @rainbowturtles Hugs that sounds like one rough day. Hoping things look up from here!! @eggplantface Sorry I hear progesterone supps can be a B. @Sailing_Mama Hope you have fun on your day off! @beachbunnyxo123 Sorry love treat yoself today
Month/Cycle: 11/9
CD/DPO: 30/12
Timing: -3,-1,0,+1
Testing: BFN today
R/R: I would love to tell myself there is still hope but let's be honest... its 12 dpo. My LP is 12-13 days. All the rants today, none of the raves.
CS/Q: A nice rise today which is a complete mindf*ck on 12 DPO. Every other chart I have dips at 12DPO. Seriously wtf.
GTKY: Who is your favorite comedian? I love physical humor #1 so anyone who is willing to fall down to make me laugh. After that, Kevin Hart, Tina Faye. I love Mindy Kahlings books. This may be an UO but I don't really find Jerry Seinfeld's recent stand up very funny. Saw him last summer and I don't know it seemed like it was more for my parents?? Could have just been a bad night.
@littlebug2010 I'm having similar thoughts about the upcoming cycles. All the people who say "just stop thinking about it/give up/relax and it will happen!" are getting in my head. But I'm not sure I even could do that. And I also don't want to lose touch with everyone on here. And I worry that MORE unknown will only stress me out more. I don't know, I was thinking maybe just for December? I don't know, it somehow seems scarier and possibly pointless (and/or impossible to just let go lol). My OB said he'd see me after 3 months because of my medical history/chronic illnesses but I feel a little silly especially since sometimes H has only been around for one or two days in FW and he hasn't gone for his SA, yet. Sigh. Anyways, just saying I can relate
@rainbowturtles The worst for me is my mom. She keeps telling me how she didnt track anything for both me and my sister and it was fine. That I should just take that approach, but I just cant let myself float like that. I am going to try to be less obsessive, and luckily the holidays will take a bunch of time, so I hope I wont be thinking about it all too much. I can say though, its really nice to have someone to relate to!

@littlebug2010 My mother likes to terrify me (while probably thinking she's helping) with the story that she and my dad tried for NINE YEARS and it wasn't until they gave up and went travelling that it finally happened Now, I know their "trying" was nothing like our trying because I just don't think the science was there 34yrs ago but it still scares the crap out of me, since I've only STARTED trying at 34 and don't have 9yrs Moms, am I right?!
Sigh. And sorry for being such an AW the past couple of days but I'm also officially out and that makes for a 9 day LP and my shortest cycle yet (20 days??!!). I'm just wondering if one short LP is something to be concerned with or if I should just write it off?
Also, just to confirm that positive thinking doesn't get you KTFU: I did daily affirmations about this being my cycle and continually turned my mind if I thought negatively and even told my dogs that I was pregnant----yup, that's right. It worked okay for my feelings about TTC up until I saw the blood yesterday so it's not necessarily a bad thing, but for those assholes who say "just think positive"....they can suck it lol Positive thinking resulted in a 9 day LP and AF the day after my EDD
Okay, guess I'll text H to bring home all the booze GL to everyone else! FX so hard for you!
@rainbowturtles My RE was willing to count my one really long cycle as an outlier. It also sounds like you were under a lot of stress this cycle so maybe that impacted things too. IMO I would talk to your doc if it continues. Sorry for such a rough gd week love. Drink whatever the heck you want tonight! I'll be thinking of you.
@rainbowturtles So sorry, about everything! Moms think they are helpful, but sometimes I wish there was a way to make them understand what we are going through now! If I were you, I would head right over to that OB. Having that available is awesome. I have my physical with my PCP tomorrow, so I am wondering what she is going to say, but if she recommends me to go to an OB I will! Good luck and Ill probably see you in WTO soon.

FX @Anna_1021 - I get testing at different times due to a different sleep schedule but since 1/2 your circles are open, it's a bit hard to tell for sure (at least for me) . I know what some ladies do if they have varying schedules is they get up and test at the same time everyday and then go back to bed if they need to. Just make sure you get a solid block of sleep (at least 3 or 4 hours) before testing. I know if I am not KU this cycle, I will do that next cycle. Ex: temp everyday at 6 am and then either get ready for work or go back to bed.

R/R: Raves- MH is on his way home from his business trip! Woohoo! I made it. Also, I started temping and charting AND I ordered OP strips on Amazon to use during my next cycle to see if I'm ovulating. I have an appointment with my GYN on 11/14 but I feel like she's just going to tell me "wait and see", so I have set myself up for that ahead of time. Rant- I hate my courses right now. CS/Q: I know it's not going to be cost effective in any way, but should I take an OPK like every day after AF for my next cycle? My cycles are so long that I'm not sure I'm ovulating, so I have no idea how to predict when would be the best time to do an OPK.

@mrsn092714 During the TWW I often find myself googling the image of where an egg/embryo is each day. It helps keep the BSC at bay! @norahbeansmom I think most of us recommend starting on ~CD10, usually 4-6 after the end of AF.
@Sailing_Mama@wabash15@SaphireSweetie88 Thanks for the input and the analyzes! I'll try to do better in the next cycle with temping times, so it is easier to read. I'll also try to fine tune current results with @Sailing_Mama's suggestions.

@rainbowturtles - aww... sometimes we all just need a good cry. Glad YH was there for you! @lmmtravels - omg, how did Ellen not immediately popen into my head?!? love her!!!
@Sailing_Mama and @LuND - I call those days "mental health days". And they are necessary!
And @LuND - I hope she notices a difference! Oh, the ways our minds mess with us...
@Pinky917 - it's definitely that your coworkers are obnoxious. @eggplantface - I had a relationship like that with my cchiropractor until we moved. Since then we' ve kept up on Facebook, but now I just cant because *tw she's pregnant (started trying after us) and her due date is the week our EDD would've been before a miscarriage. So now every time I see her post all I can think is "that should be me"
@littlebug2010 my job isn't actually primarily coding... this particular project required a lot of it though (which makes it even worse because I'm not the best programmer in the world... it's vba so I feel like it's not hardcore coding haha), and it's been a bit of a mess. I got this humongous model in excel and have been asked to automate certain parts of it, then it's rush, rush, rush... then, I'll get asked to automate a different part of it. So, rather than do something that makes sense, like take an entire week and just automate the whole thing, I'll have a nice little piece of code, then have to add to it and try to make it fit into another automation process. I don't know if the guy that's "leading the way" really gets how much of a pain in the a** it is and how much time I've spent on this... but it is what it is i guess! I also do some SAS! (sorry that ended up being a like a paragraph...)
I wanted to add Key and Peele! Check out their sketches about the substitute and the NFL one.
It's funny how it's the little things in life that mean the most...not where you live, or what you drive, or the price tag on your clothes... There's no dollar sign on a piece of mind, this I've come to know! *ZBB*
Question: Sorry, didn't include this above in my original post, but for some reason The Bump isn't letting me edit it.
I purchased a FRER early response (up to 6 days before missed period) and I am wondering what might be the best option to use it. Of course, the closer to the missed period is probably better, but I am getting a wee bit impatient.
I haven't had a period in a long time (because of BC), but I am thinking it is due on Monday, November 7 or Tuesday, November 8. Given that, what would you do for using it?
I am thinking maybe using it on November 4 or 5 (so only 3-4 days before) which would be about 12-13 DPO.
@eggplantface Thank you for the advice - I was pleasantly surprised my temp went back up to what it was as before the drop. Usually my temp doesn't drop until it's time for my AF.

My advice is to not use it at all. Wondfos are cheaper. If you get a positive on that then confirm with the FRER. Especially since it sounds like you don't really know when you ovulated (aren't temping) so you could be only 3 DPO, or not have ovulated at all, so you'd be wasting the expensive test.
