@kap1988 DH and I went to Universal Studios and then Hollywood Studios earlier this year. I see Magic Kingdom as being a place that's more family-oriented and somewhere we'll go to again when we have kids. We last went there on a high school trip (DH and I were just getting to know each other as friends, but it's still fun to say we've been to Orlando together twice!).
I'm a kid at heart though and don't judge adults who enjoy acting and being young. I'm 30 and can still relate to my students with playing video games and geeking out over Marvel movies.
Same as @datalover13. Our DD has been watching TV, movies and playing with my iPad since she was a year. She's a smart kid, we just also make sure she's playing outside and with toys and coloring and not obsessing. Sometimes we don't let her watch TV or use the iPad, I've never had her meltdown over it. Know your kid. Be smart, be firm, but also don't feel bad if you let them explore or watch. Technology is their future, and I think the content of what they're watching or playing is more important than how much. When she expressed interest in playing on the iPad, I loaded it with preschool games and she loves it. If she's going to watch TV shows, it has to be something PBS or Disney Junior that is teaching and has a lesson to learn.

DH took me to Disneyland this past April for our anniversary...I'd been a couple of times but he never had, so we went...it was a nice fun getaway after recovering from surgery...I love going to Disney with just adults...you don't have to worry about anyone but yourself...don't get me wrong, I'm pumped to take the little guy once he's born, but it's been fun to go and do what we wanted to on our own schedule and not have to worry about baby's schedule

@DrillSergeantCat@disneybaby84 Considering we travel halfway across the country to get to either of the Disneylands, we'll definitely be waiting until our kids are out of strollers. Otherwise, it's more hassle to go all that way than it's worth, when we could just take them to a local theme park. Not as flashy, but gets them primed for serious fun! The added advantage of this is that they're big enough to ride most of the attractions; hence, it can be a whole family affair. DH and I love theme park rides - if one of us has to man a stroller, we'd be bickering for sure!
@kjd291 I'm in Maine too, and I feel you. Fall ends so early here, it's a little hard not to want just push in to the next season.
I fully admit that I love Christmas, and I start getting my decorations up and playing the movies and music in November. (My UO I sup pose is that Christmas should be a two month season. Lol)
We took DS to Disney World soon after he turned 4. He enjoyed it, so it was worth it to us. We figure we'll go back when this LO is around 5, so I'm not worried if DS doesn't vividly remember it.
Lularoe clothes, especially the leggings, are so ugly.
Boom!
Hehehe, my perfect tee and piggy leggings disagree with you lol at how un pregnant this picture makes me look dubcompanion said:
Along the same lines as @EALasagna45's UO, I wish people would boycott Black Friday sales that start on Thanksgiving Day. It's been getting worse every year, and I find it sad. Retail workers should be able to spend time with family, and customers should be able to wait until Friday to shop. I'd rather the occasion bleed into Saturday then start on Thursday. That would honestly make more sense to me.
I agree with the Black Friday, but for me there is one large holiday season from Halloween to epiphany. Christmas music Durant take away from thanksgiving for me because Christmas music is part of my thanksgiving memories. I'm not sure why decorating for Christmas/winter takes away from celebrating the things we are thankful for. Thanksgiving decorations are just not as fun! Something about Christmas decorations gives me the warm fuzzies. So I guess my uo is that I love Christmas decorations after Halloween.
@AandDM2014 there are the super parnoid people. Babies will become allergic to cat fur and cats are dangerous and some such fiddle faddle.
I'm no scientist but that sounds like total crap to me. I'm allergic to pretty much everything (including cats & dogs) but I grew up with dogs and my allergy to them is FAR LESS severe! We never had any cats and I can't even be in a house that has cats without breaking out in hives and my throat swelling up! We fully intend to have our dog around our baby and just be very careful that he "plays gentle"
@longliveregina Those piggy leggings are perfect on you because you proudly rock them!! And I'm cool with Christmas music around mid-November, when the weather gets chilly enough to feel like winter. Additionally, part of my childhood memories of Thanksgiving was decorating for Christmas during the school break! NOT part of my childhood memories? Rushing to a crowded store, on the day we eat turkey and mashed potatoes no less, to buy crap. That's what I am strongly against! Keep Thanksgiving a family day, not a damn sale day.

I don't know how but I finally got sucked into LulaRoe in the past several months after avoiding it forever. I admit though, there are a lot of ugly patterns out there...but I caved and bought some solid colored tops and they were very good for hiding my bump. And I never wear tops that don't cover the front and back *shudder* Since falling down the hole though, I've found buy/sell/trade websites to avoid paying full price for stuff so that helps!
I'm also not a big fan of candy corn. Halloween I feel kinda meh about in general. I like seeing people's creative costumes but it's way too much effort for me anymore to try to dress up.
