Killer has been caught, he didn't make it very far, and I'm going to go get Butch (surviving pup) and bring him over here with us while my Brother and SIL are at work so he isn't so lonesome.
And a big dog ran up on one of my brother's little teacup chihuahuas while she was in the yard going potty and it mauled her to death... now her brother (puppy) is next door grieving. Have you ever seen a dog grieving and crying? It's so heartbreaking ;(
That is so sad. Poor puppy And so scary about the killer. Glad you're safe!

Omg @AllyTheKid! They say bad stuff comes in threes but that is really awful. I hope you get a break today (actually you deserve a break for the month!).

LO has the sniffles, but luckily for me, that means he wanted an early bath and "Mommy snuggles" on the couch. Complete with Blaze and the Monster Machines, of course. So, I'm going to soak up the next hour with my sweetie. Won't have as much precious time once baby arrives.
Married 11-11-11 TTC only since Dec 2015. I had some weight to get off. Been working hard in the gym for over a year. BFP 02-15-16 with our first IT'S A BOY!!!
@F47 I can totally relate to soaking up all the "former" LO snuggles whenever possible. I wish I had more time to love on Jimmy too, but he really is handling big-brotherhood like a champ considering he's only 15 months old!
@ibabyloveb87 I am happy for you! As somebody who struggles with perpetual constipation (and hemorrhoids), I for one can certainly appreciate a good doodoo. ::high five::
@SpaceBurger My days are typically so mundane... this has certainly been more excitement than I care for, for a good long while. It was just an overall dark day =/
@NoraAurora Now THAT is something to be celebrated... if FI would finish converting our garage before December, I don't even know. He'd be getting endless BJs for a week or something. And good luck with your endoscopy! I hope everything turns out the way you want
@f47 enjoy those snuggles! My heart is sad for my LO today. He got sad at preschool today and told the teacher he missed his mommy! He's been adjusting really well but he's not used to sharing the attention.
Awww, @serenaxo84 that breaks my heart! I know I'm the end, though, all of our LOs will be fine and adjust appropriately. It will just take time. LO will have a baby brother and hopefully friend for life!
@f47 thanks! I'm like ugly crying now because preschool sent me an email. He goes to daycare too and his daycare person brings him so she told me about it and then DS1 told me he cried- I feel so awful. I gotta make some time for him but it's so hard- I am just 8 days PP and have only been home for 4 of those days so we are just really still adjusting. Maybe DS will feel a little more love from me when H goes back to work next week and our mornings are just and I get him ready for school/ daycare by myself... which is horrifying and scary because idk how I'm gonna do it!
My sweet little Johnny has his first appointment with his pediatric neurologist today, hoping for some good news! Any and all good vibes would be appreciated if you have a few to spare ♡
I feel like the board has gotten a lot quieter lately and I'm sad!! I wish I had some fun and interesting things to post, but dang my life is boring now.

@noraaurora DS1 was a comfort sucker and loves the binky still- he's 3. We gotta get him off it soon.
My new LO is not a comfort sucker and I try and stick the binky in his mouth for diaper changes etc esp in the middle of the night if he doesn't care for it. I feel like he's gonna change a lot though once his due date comes around in November!
Why does this LO poop constantly while he is asleep!? Granted he's asleep 23 out of 24 hours right now. He occasionally poops when I nurse but most of the time he is pooping while he is asleep and i don't realize it! If he's in the rock and play he has a blanket on and I don't smell it until I take the blanket off! While BF definitely have a distinct smell it doesn't actually smell like a regular poop!
@NoraAurora DD2 is a comfort sucker already. She sucked her fingers and thumb in most of our ultrasounds and also did insane damage to my nipples during our short breastfeeding attempt lol. She is a picky paci girl though- she only likes Nuk. The other brands we picked up do not interest her in the least. Have you tried other types of pacifiers?
@bnsmith85 Well, they couldn't really give us any info this trip and it mostly consisted of paperwork, but they did a reflex test and they tested his motor skills and tiny little baby cognitive functions and he is on track so far, which is a huge relief! He is also going to start the weaning process off of his Phenobarbital, the neurologist thinks that is way too strong for infants and seemed a bit upset that they prescribed that to him in the first place instead of something else, so he's being weaned then we'll move on to something new from there. We are waiting for his 3rd EEG, until then though, we're sitting ducks. I'm hoping this was just a weird newborn thing and he doesn't have epilepsy. FX!
@AllyTheKid Still some waiting to do, but it sounds like the results you were able to get are great! I'm so happy to hear that! I'll keep fingers, toes and everything else crossed with you that he just had a weird newborn thing going on. Keep us posted
@bnsmith85 We are so relieved that he's still on track! We were scared he may have suffered some damage after he quit breathing the first time, since he wasn't on monitors yet we have no idea how long he really went without oxygen, but he seems to be doing great so far! I hate that we may not get his EEG until January, but as long as he's thriving and doesn't have anymore episodes, I'm happy and thankful ♡
@AllyTheKid Sounds like you have a great doctor. Sending tons of positive vibes your way that all turns out okay. So scary in the meantime though.
At my appointment this am I was finally dilated a little more than 1cm. I asked for a membrane sweep, and she tried her best but couldn't really reach...ugh. Come on labor!!! I'm walking, doing stairs, and accupressure. Starting evening primrose oil and red raspberry leaf tea today. The doctors have me so paranoid that he is going to be a big baby, I'm doing anything possible to speed this along. Getting so anxious!!
my random is that I live near a hospital. this afternoon someone rang the bell and knocked on my door. I opened the heavy door (we also have a security screen door) and it was this guy barefoot in a hospital gown with an iv port still in his arm (It's also raining today). He asked for water. I felt bad, but there was no way I was opening my door. I told him he needed to go back to the hospital. He said "they weren't treating him right." My dad showed him out the gate.
@chriscasey33 wow that's really bizarre did you report that to the hospital. I would be concerned that it's someone that had to be monitored or hopefully no one's missing a loved one who is mentally ill.
My kid is what DH and I fondly refer to as "pacidumb". He cannot figure out how to use a pacifier. He usually screams when I try to give it to him because he gets frustrated. He's kind've gotten the hang of it a couple times and then promptly goes back to being frustrated. I really think it would help soothe him and spare my nipples because he likes to comfort suck (and gets mad he's drowning in milk when he just wants to be soothed). We'd been trying the soothies so maybe we have to try a different kind.
@LGW2015 Try Nuk pacis. That's all we have been using. My MIL (long-time pediatric nurse) said they're the best ones. Of course everyone has their own opinion. I wasn't going to give any until 3-4 weeks but I caved and it's helped a lot since he seems to be soothed by sucking on something too and my nipples can't do it.

@BabySunshine4 we were trying to decide how to report it. The police in our area have not been typically sensitive to people with mental health issues, so we didn't want to call 911, as it would go through to the police. But there isn't a direct number to call the hospital. It's a huge hospital, I'm not sure where to start. He did start walking back in that general direction. (We're about a quarter mile away).
Thank you ladies after texting my mom that I was really struggling her and my dad decided they're driving the 5 hours to our house so they can spend the weekend with us. I'm so grateful.
@LGW2015... have you tried a wubbanub? Maybe having the stuffed animal at the end will weigh down the paci (so it doesn't fall out) and give him a chance to leave it in for a while to figure out that he likes it.

@chriscasey33 How very bizarre... if we all made a list of the weird shit that has happened lately, we could write one hell of a thriller novel.
