Gideon just got weighed. At 2 weeks and 2 days, he's 11 oz over his birth weight and a full pound heavier than at his 4 day appointment. Woohoo!

I wish I could find about 3 other babies to breastfeed cause my boobs are KILLING me. Little man doesn't even slightly empty one when he eats.

Dr cancelled all apts this afternoon because he ended up in an emergency surgery. We had already arrived at the clinic so I made DH let us go to the grocery store. I've never felt so human to finally be out of the house.

@NoraAurora I just read your birth announcement ! Congratulations ! Can't believe they tried to check your cervix again 5 minutes after they already did. So glad you stood up for yourself!

@f47 , I heard acupuncture works really well! Good luck! Fingers crossed for you!

@bnsmith85 It's $75 for my initial session, and $25 for each follow-up session "to get things happening." Seems really reasonable! I've never in my life had acupuncture, but I'm excited. Apparently it leaves you feeling really relaxed. Too bad I'll be coming home to a hyper toddler.

P.S. I have no idea what to wear. Wonder if I'll have to strip down like for a massage? Or can leave a tank top on and she can just pull it up where necessary...? I almost called to ask, but I felt too embarrassed.

For me when I've had acupuncture when pregnant I sat on a chair and kinda leaned forward on the table. You can't really lay flat on your back, but they might put you on your side too.

@F47... that's not bad at all. I have an appt tomorrow and depending on when they set my induction for, I may need to make an appt to get things going sooner

@F47- good luck with acupuncture, I've been a handful of times and really loved it, plus it worked for me for what I went for (that is a weird sentence). Lol. I also found it VERY relaxing, I actually would fall asleep. For me they had me lying on a massage type table on either my back or stomach.

DH just Cooked up some ground turkey we had in the fridge and the use by/freeze by date was yesterday. I don't know if it's because I KNOW it's past date or if it's actually bad, but it doesn't smell right... and it's making me nauseous now.
He ate it in whatever he was making and I told him that if he gets sick from it and can't support me while I'm in labor, I'll cut him

Ahhhhh...that acupuncture appointment was actually great. I got such a solid nap! lol

I didn't feel anything during the appointment, but it's an hour and half later and my Braxton Hicks are back full force and having some cramping.

Anyway, it was worth it for the nap alone!

I keep reading up on what everyone's doing, and I really want to post things...but my life is SO boring right now, I have nothing to say! I didn't leave the house yesterday or today, and it's just been hours of watching tv, reading, feeding Baby, changing Baby, and repeat. I'm going stir crazy over here, y'all!

@bnsmith85 it's funny you say that because we make our dog ground turkey sometimes because we can't always get him to eat his regular food, and I could not even be in the house when we cooked it once I was pregnant. The smell honestly almost made me puke. Even now it still makes me a little nauseous.

@bamacoop same here. I feel like I spend 90% of my waking time feeding this child.

I've slowly been siphoning pacifiers and diapers out of Wade's hospital room for the past 2 weeks lol. I think we have almost a full pack's worth of diapers and like 5 pacifiers. Every time one would hit the floor, they would throw it away and get a new one! I stole each and every one they threw away and am going to put them through the dishwasher when we get home. I have no shame lol. Those suckers are expensive!

I have the best mom EVER!
Our cleaning ladies are supposed to come the next Friday and with my induction date on Tuesday, we're either going to be in the hospital or discharging that day.... so not a good day for them to come. My mom is staying with the dogs while we're in the hospital so I asked her what day would be better for her to be there when the cleaning ladies are cleaning or, if she'd just prefer not to deal with it... her response, "why don't you just cancel them for the week. I'll clean your house for you... you need to come home to a clean house and I want y'all to save the money."

I seriously hope I'm as good of a mom to my daughter as she is to me.
