Hi there. Haven't posted in ages but wondered if any of you had seen this before? My son is 16 mo. Normal teething symptoms. My two older kids never had this so I wasn't certain.
I can't tell if it's just blood under the surface or what. It's just odd. I never took him before but this one looked bigger. I was just curious what other moms thought. Just want to make sure I'm not writing it off if I should really be taking him in
Boo. See now I'm kind of concerned because the canine on the other side popped through today and it doesn't look like that at all. I think I'll call the dr tomorrow.
Soo did some research and called a peds RN that I know. Apparently it's an eruption cyst or hematoma. Blood filled. Goes away on it's own when it's making way for the tooth and doesn't require immediate treatment. Sounds like it happens mostly with molars and usually when the tissue is thick.
Makes me feel better! I was getting worried
Good! Im glad you called! I was worried for you! Did they mention if it was painful or not? I know you mentioned he doesnt seem in pain but just wondering.
