@awoodruff27 my "checkpoint" is not bleeding. I never had any bleeding with my two healthy pregnancies, and actually had an ultrasound a couple days after bleeding started last time that showed what the doctor thought was a healthy baby with a heartbeat. I know that some bleeding is normal for some women, but it's never been normal for me. So as long as I'm not bleeding I feel pretty good about this.
@awoodruff27 My "checkpoints" seem pretty similar to yours. My first was making it past my expected period since all my chemical pregnancies ended by a day or two after the day of my expected period. So once I was more than a day or two from when I had expected my period at least I could say "OK well this time around is at least different than all the chemicals! That's a good sign!"
My next two "checkpoints" were sorta a "whatever comes first" prioritization. I wanted to hear a heartbeat (which I did at 5w6d) and I want to make it to week 7. The longest I've ever managed to stay pregnant was 6w4d. So I feel like making it to week 7 would give me some hope that things are different and maybe it'll all be OK.
I have my next ultrasound at 7w3d so I guess my next "checkpoint" after "make it past at least 6w4d but preferably 7 weeks" will be "and have a good ultrasound at 7w3d!"
I think after that, assuming everything is still going well then, I'll feel a lot better. I know I'm significantly less worried now after making it at least this long and seeing a heartbeat.

I'm freaking out a bit. Realistically I know it's ridiculous, but I have my blood test confirmation tomorrow. I put it off last week because I didn't want to bother if it was a chemical. But this lil one seems to be sticking around. I'm just terrified that my 8 tests I've taken are wrong. I know... Im ridiculous. This baby was just so not on the radar but I'm already attached.

@awoodruff27 one of my checkpoints is not bleeding for the exact same reason. So every bathroom trip with no blood feels like a checkpoint. My first real checkpoint will be hearing the baby's heartbeat around 8-9 weeks. Last time around the baby's heart stopped at 7w4d so I know if I heard it before then I wouldn't take any comfort in that. I know it can happen at any time but if I make past 8 weeks, I think I will be happy. It's odd, really, because my two perfect pregnancies were completely trumped by the mc. Now I literally cannot imagine being as fearless as I was those two times.

Introduce yourself if you haven't yet. Im Mel. DH and I are both 31. This is our fourth pregnancy this year MMC at 9w growth stopped at 8w4 and then we had two subsequent CPs. This is our first BFP working with an RE on clomid, aspirin and progesterone so hoping things go better
How far along are you? 5 weeks today
How are you doing? Lots of stress last week with 4 betas and waiting for results to make sure they were increasing appropriates. The third was slower but fourth was much more reassuring. 15, 38.5, 71, 171 all 48 hours apart. Boob soreness and low grade all day nausea.
When is your next appointment? Last beta Wednesday and early scan Thursday morning
Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: Baby doesn't seem to like garlic which means it's not our kid. Sperm specimen must have gotten mixed up.
GTKY: Do you have any pets? Feel free to tell of about them and share pictures if you'd like.
I have the best fur babies ever. I have an almost 5 year old malamute Ossa and an 18 month old malamute wolf mix Yogi. They are amazing fluffy psychos. I don't know what I would do without them
now 2 more days until our next doctor's appointment and hopefully get to see a heartbeat. I've never had that before.

@NamelessAria it is so exciting to hear a heartbeat. I would definitely be feeling good too!
@mrt bleeding isn't normal for me either. The only time I bleed when I'm pregnant is when I'm miscarrying.
@yolandamunoz did you meet your check point today??
