I am on leave so I should be excited, but I'm feeling resentful towards DH. There are things that he's been neglecting,the main one being following up on our IRS appeal, and I feel like he just expects me to do it now that I have all this free time. I normally wouldn't have a problem, but he just had a week off between jobs a few months back and he did absolutely nothing all week. He made dinner but otherwise sat around and played video games. Min the meantime, I'm cleaning, organizing, doing laundry, making dinner, etc. I'd like to freaking relax too. Plus I wanted to go see Bridget jones baby and of course it's not playing anywhere. So more laundry and bitterness for me. I need an attitude adjustment!
@Schell2013 someone asked us for the hospital address yesterday. I was not expecting visitors in the hospital because most family is a few hours away. I'm not sure how to feel or deal with it. I guess it's better in the hospital because the nurses will kick them out if they're there too long? It's not that I don't want people to see the baby. But I'm a FTM and I need some time to figure out how to be a human in charge of another human.
It's Tuesday but I'm just calming down enough to type this. So my DH ex is pregnant she was due 10 days after me so we had agreed that we would switch the kids when either of us needed to in emergencies. Well 3 times now we have taken the 4 kids for her once she had a bladder infection and waited all day till they were home to deal with it. Once her new bf was fighting with our 10 year old my step daughter so I picked her up and kept her for the day and the last time My DH too 3 of them to emergency dental appointments because she was I'll.
Well this weekend our 4 year old had a hard fall and we were concern she had a concussion so my DH asked her to take the kids so he could take her to Emerg since the baby is so small we did not want to take him back to hospital. Well the fat beach couldn't get off her butt to come across town from he loser boy friends house. Then later we read on facebook she went for a long walk with her loser boyfriend.
We're done were done being used by her so now we are no longer taking kids on days that are not ours. So if she goes into labor Monday thru Friday she can just pay someone else because we're not answering our phones. May be petty may be a TW move but in the last 5 years it's been take take take with her and I've had enough.
@mintz1982 i obvioulsy don't know the whole situation but would your DH be comfortable with his kids being w some random stranger for a few days when his ex si in labor?
i get feeling used but hes their parent also and i dont know if it's necessarily fair to make the kids be in the middle....
She has family who live next door to her she just chooses us because we always say yes we always say yes because they are his kids too and we want the time with them. We don't put them in the middle she usually uses them against us. If it's something for them we will do it but we can't keep doing her favors because she will just take until we have nothing left to give. It just feels like she is making it seems like she is the first person and only person on this earth to ever have a baby or be pregnant her excuse is always I'm pregnant I can't mean while I was GD still taking all the kids to things they needed to be at so she could nap like the meet the teacher night at the school she didn't feel well so I took all 6 kids meanwhile I puked at the school and almost fainted from being on my feet to long I sucked it up poped some gum and smiled for them. I love those kids but I'm done with her. She has 100xs the support system we do in town she just uses us because we are free

DH told me I'm not allowed to make dinner or do anything tomorrow, unless I treat myself to a movie. I've been doing too much. So he does see and appreciate my efforts. It drives him crazy that I won't just put my feet up, so tomorrow I might try to do just that. Oh and he also brought home 2 dozen beautiful roses for me today.
