He's a boy! I am beyond thrilled. Two girls and the boy we were convinced we'd only ever have! I had been waiting on my Verifi results and my OB called me herself so my stomach immediately lurched assuming the test had brought up something of concern. She said everything looked perfect and told me about my son (!!!!!!!!) and I literally busted out in tears. Talk about an emotional roller coaster in a minute long phone call. I cannot recall a time I have ever actually cried so quickly like that. Thank God for answered prayers for a healthy baby and a boy to complete our family!
I still can't decide if I actually want to know or not. We found out with DD, and I feel like it was pretty surprising and special when we found out. But then so many people seem to want to wait, it makes me feel like I'm missing out on something if we find out beforehand! First opportunity is next weds at the early anatomy scan.
@ladameperdue my bff is a delivery nurse and she says the ones where the parents don't know the sex are always the most exciting!
That being said, I had a co-worker not find out with their second and when it was a second girl, he says it kind of put a damper on the day because they had been so sure it was a boy. He said he wished they would've known and had time to get used to another girl before she was born.
@herewegrow, your coworkers reasoning is the exact reason my husband wants to find out. Not that he won't love another boy, he just really is hoping for a girl and if it's another boy he wants time to get used to that idea cause in his mind this one is for sure a girl.
I find the opposite to be true, @herewegrow. Both times I (and everyone, even strangers, lol) was totally sure I was having boys. Both times it was a girl at birth! Total shock. But I find it impossible to feel disappointed with a healthy baby in my arms. Just my two cents.
I'm 100% finding out. My 4 year old wants a brother and I gave a feeling it's another girl.. she doesn't even want to talk about the possibility that baby may be a sister. If it's a girl I need time to make her want a girl!
I'm so excited to find out. Anatomy scan is a long seven weeks away though. But the wives tales seem to nearly all be pointing to girl, and I think it's a girl too. But DH wants a boy first and is convinced it is a boy. We shall see!
I do not care whatsoever if other people find out the sex or not. But my experience has been that finding out the gender at 21 weeks with DD was super fun. For me, personally, pregnancy is hard and honestly I mostly hate it. I need something to get me through. We will always choose to wait until the 20 week scan, because it is fun to build up some anticipation. The day my daughter was born was the happiest day and it was awesome, I cannot imagine that it would be that much improved by finding out her sex that day. Spreading out the fun is my choice. Half way through a pregnancy I need something to give me some encouragement and a push to keep going.

Our anatomy scan seems so far away! So excited for all of you ladies as you find out. And way to go Team Green- I admire your patience and ability to wait.
We we both want to find out just to help feel more prepared mentally. We find out on Election Day!
Boy for us! I found out at my 12 week test (harmony test reveals the gender). I am happy with either as it is our first baby, I would like to have one each ideally.
Me: 35 year old FTM, a busy city banker living in London, and a constant worrier. My DH: French guy, car fanatic, best husband ever. Our baby boy: Due on 17 April, currently 37 weeks. I can't believe it - I made it to full term!!!! Last measurement: 3150 gs at 37+1! This is going to be a big baby
Though I'm "elevated risk" I will be seeing a maternal fetal at 16 weeks for an ultrasounds. I thought he said they're weekly or bi-weekly SO I'm totally afraid of knowing gender but I'll prob just have him turn the screen towards him so I can't see
If it were a singleton, we would definitely go Team Green but with the twins, I just have to know!! We are waiting until our anatomy scan which is already scheduled for November 6th. The countdown begins!

Baby boy for us! So excited I can't even stand it. And I've lost all hope in wives tales.... Everything pointed to girl - hyperemesis gravidarum, only wanted fruit when I could eat, heart rate super high, ring on a string, dreams, Chinese chart, ridiculous acne, sleeping on right side, daddy's weight gain., names, etc.
I couldn't resist when the tech asked if I wanted to know today...this little is a clear boy!! Still sort of in shock - I imagined having two little girls.
So excited for everyone, I love finding out what you're all having! We won't know until around Christmas so I'm also living vicariously through you guys
I had my NT scan yesterday and I showed a co-worker my ultrasound picture who promptly said "it's a boy. I can see its junk staring me in the face". She tried showing me what she was talking about, but I just don't see it haha. I always subconsciously use male pronouns when talking about the baby, and the "ring test" came out boy twice at 2 different times, but who knows! I'll just have to wait until my 20 week scan in December to see for sure
@Lovable Bump We're not finding out until the anatomy scan, but I subconsciously use "he" when talking about Nugget as well! DH is always correcting me hahaha. I really have no sex preference, so I have no idea why I do this!
Well I got our Progenity results call today- negative for all conditions tested, so that's reassuring.
we have been team green with our other babies, but this time I wantvto know. I just picked up an envelope that will tell us girl or boy! I'm saving it to open with my husband and children this weekend! The anticipation is too much!
My husband is going to be deployed for our anatomy scan. I thought about doing the envelope and opening it together on Skype when we get a chance, but I don't know if I could stand the anticipation!!! Haha.
