  Yes, people who take part in this community on a regular basis and offer support. Not just some drive by with a name question.

  I think since you came into this board and have even responded on your own thread, that it's possible your due in February. If so, you could always intro yourself in our intro thread, read through those rules posted close to the top, called read this first February...and look around in here some. Then if you decided you'd like to be a part of our community and participate that would be great!

  @emilynolson ... nobody recognizes your username because you haven't participated very much. In general everyone is very welcoming and friendly, but for the most part random threads from people who don't actively participate are from people not wanting to stay and get to know us. We prefer to offer advice and support to people we've gotten to "know". You said you posted in the intro thread "a long time ago" but it looks like you only created your account in mid September. The rest of us feel like a long time ago would be in June or early july.  But anyway, if you wanted to hang out with us more often and participate in other threads it would be great. If you only have a single random question but don't want to continue to participate this most likely won't be the best board for it. But again if you do want to participate, look around and hop in on other threads too

  Whaaaat? So you don't want to participate in our board actively? And nobody cares you posted a name question, in fact several people voted, I voted Sawyer. We were just trying to be helpful for you to join in with the community if you wanted. And also this is the only time you ever posted in our specific board. You must have introd somewhere else.   Even though I come on here every once in a while to read posts, etc. I probably won't post or reply very often.  Not that I don't want to get to know you all.  If my intro isn't on there it's probably on the January 2017 board since that was my original due date.

  If you don't know us, why do you value our opinion enough to ask what you should name a baby? It may be more fun to go to the mall and ask random people in person. At least then you could see their face and know whether to trust them. We *MAY* have a catfish on this board so...do you really want a 50 year old man pretending to be pregnant naming your daughter??

  I figured she was pretty honest about not participating much, and was just looking to see how other people felt about her names. but I checked out the names board, and she did move her poll over there. (I still like Sawyer and voted it there too)

  Glad she moved it over. I actually like her names! Though TBH I think of Sawyer more as a boys' name, probably since I used to nanny a boy Sawyer.

  Sawyer is pretty, but we knew a Sawyer family so I always think of it as a last-name-first situation.

  Exactly. Sawyer is my maiden name (not my first as it probably looks in my user name) so it will always be a last name to me.
