@mrsmoose5 - That would completely bum me out too. Sounds pretty miserable honestly. The grunge factor of things seeming dirty would drive me nuts. FX you get your own room and a VBAC and can gtfo quickly.
I gave DH only TWO jobs to do with the nursery; put up shelves, and install blackout blinds. That was two months ago.
So today I called in sick from work feeling overwhelmed at all the things I want to get done (wash all blankets/baby clothes, start on freezer meals, organize & sort gifts from shower, etc etc) and I went and got him his freaking shelving materials and the pull down blind, and he gets mad at ME for not letting him help!! I reminded him of his two tasks a number of times over the last few weeks and of course, he said I just need to "ask for his help" and he would do it... Ummm what about all the times I already asked??

I went to almost 41 weeks with my first two, so I'll be shocked if I don't go overdue with this one. I think it's easier to assume you'll go over, and then be pleasantly surprised if you go sooner.
@tigerfish227 I haven't been to Cedar Point since DD was born 3.5 years ago, but DH begs to go every year. We're just so busy now, but we live within 2ish hours and used to go every summer. We also hit up Kings Island every summer too. I'm glad you'll be able to hold your DH off until next summer.

I know the feeling. He keeps saying he'll take care of the paint, etc... and yet here we are with 5 weeks to go. I inquired about using a face mask to paint and suddenly he has a brush in hand!
@SandNStarsNJ I painted the nursery myself after we found out we were having a girl at about 21 weeks or so. I didn't trust my DH to do it how I wanted it. And he didn't disagree. My sister came over and helped with all but the wall our crib is against, since that's the one that's decorated, and not just solid paint. But I did tell my DH that he is responsible for replacing the ceiling fan before DD gets here. 5 weeks to go, and still no ceiling fan. I'll probably have my brother end up coming over and putting it in.
@eribeau my sis and I painted too! But only because it happened that he was gone out of town for a bachelor party and I really wanted to do it and didn't want to wait for him to get back.

@SandNStarsNJ I did the same thing to my husband. I kept asking him to help me spray paint stuff (seriously, spray paint is a DIY god-send!) and he wouldn't do it. One day he came home to me with a mask over my face doing it in the garage (open, of course) and took right over. It's annoying how many time we have to ask them!
