@leslie1331 that's the right age range!! Lol I never met him, but I've heard stories. It's hard to imagine too many people around here with that name, so I figure it must be the same guy! Craziness!
We never considered Wolfgang, but I will admit we entertained the idea of naming our son Amadeus for a while. We ultimately decided against it because we realized I would ALWAYS just sing the chorus of "Rock Me Amadeus" at him. Poor thing.
I was positive I was having a girl and had her name all picked out. Well, so much for mother's intuition - boy #2 on the way!
We started from square one with names and H has shot down everything I've suggested, but I haven't loved anything either. DS just suggested Bradley and we've got a solid "maybe"!
I'm thinking Bradley James. James is a family name and it gives BJ as a nickname option. So H immediately said "blow job." I know that, obviously, but i really don't think that precludes guys from going by BJ... thoughts?
I'm liking Isabelle or Jocelyn or Josephine. Middle names either Anne or Sue. DH likes nothing I have suggestions so far. but it was like that with our son too. It literally took my sisters sitting us down and choosing a name and that was at 37 weeks. We are HORRIBLE at picking out names and agreeing. (case in point, we had a cat named Pretty, our fish names are Oscar (the oscar fish is the breed) Devil (a red devil breed) and an algae eater names Dirt (our son named it) our dogs came with their names so we just kept them.
On another note, DS told me that if the baby changes into a boy (because he is convinced it's going to happen and wants a baby brother) We are going to name him Joe.
I don't mind if Declan is becoming more popular! It's not too common around here but even if so oh well! Kind of loving it and commiting ourselves to it. I didn't realize it's a character on revenge, but that may be where some of its popularity comes from! My mom asked if it's pronounced da-clan. Lol. No mom, no.
@MommaBean I went to school with a boy named BJ.. actually that's all we ever called him so I don't know if or what it was shortened from. I never remember it getting turned into a make fun of thing of "blow jobs" I think once kids are old enough to know what a bj is, they have outgrown the petty make fun of names thing. In my opinion.
@MommaBean I love having James as a middle name! I think there are so many first names you can pair with it!
Noah James, Lucas James, Matthew James, David James, Hunter James, Daniel James, Ryan James, Landon James, Christopher James, Ryder James... So many handsome options!!!
@gretchypoo I think all of those names are lovely -- not helpful, I know! No matter which name you go with, she will have a solid name.
What about Maeve? It shares some letters with Maude, but has a bit more whimsy.
NB: there was a girl in my preschool whose name was Emmaline and she had the most beautiful curly, long brown hair. She was my very first hair idol and probably still would be (I haven't seen her in 25 years).
I actually read it as Emma "lin" rather than either "lean" or "line", but I'm also in the South, so that might not be an issue were you are.
We've settled on Emily Claire, which was one of the 3 names we came up with before I was pregnant with our first. We briefly toyed with changing the middle name, but didn't find anything else we really like. Plus, we found out that of the 4 sisters DH's great-grandmother had, one was named Emily and one was named Claire, so it just seems like it was meant to be. We typically try to avoid super popular names, but we've made an exception for this one.
I was thinking Emma-line too!! Not sure why, just how I said it in my head I guess. I think they are both cute though! Emma-lean does sound like Emily. But I love the name Emily, so that wouldn't bother me at all.
I also need some name opinions! We had our boy name picked out so it was fate we are having a girl! Now we are starting from scratch. Last name is a two syllable German name.
Names we can agree upon so far... Addison Amelia Everly Harlow
@lfrank12 I love Addison and Amelia! Semi along those lines too, our friend just names their daughter Adeline which I love (like Madeline, the little red-head, but without the M. And because I know discussion will ensue, this one is pronounced Add-el-line but I think Ad-e-lynn is cute too!)

Middle name will be my last name, last name will be Hubs' last name.
- Hermione (nn Mina)
- Emmaline (nn Emma)
- Elizabeth (nn Betty, Lizzie or Liz)
- Maude -- probably my least favorite
Thoughts?

I like Amelia and Everly. But they're all pretty choices!
A friend's niece has that name and I thought that's how she said it.
