  • @Jab3 my OB also said I didn't have to fast which I was surprised about since it seems like so many people said they did have to fast. Weird.

  • It is weird, you would think it would be a standard thing, same at all places. Oh well, I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one. Also, I'm not going to argue with them telling me it's fine to eat beforehand lol
  • depends on which GD test they are giving you.

if you don't pass they'll make you do a fasting test or they'll just skip to a GD DX and you'd be testing your blood wash AM (fasting) anyway.

  • What do you mean, there's more than one type of test for GD? I still think it's strange. With my first 2 I was expected to fast prior to the drink/labs being done. This time, I'm not. I assumed it was because it's a different OB this time around. Didn't know there are different types of the GD test other than the one where you wait an hour to be tested and the one where you wait three hours.
  • I have done a two hour test (with fasting).

    yes there are different tests.

  • Re: the maternity support belt I purchased the baby belly band by cabea! It's awesome!! I sit a lot at work so I don't wear it then but I was actually having the most problems on weekends when I was cleaning... so much more comfortable now. I'm having a lot of pelvic and hip pain. According to my OB this is very common 2nd pregnancies. This baby sits incredibly low! I also ordered the leg straps but I haven't tried they are supposed to help these types of pains/swelling as well. The sizing is generous I chose an XL for growing room, but I think I could have gone with the L (5'3" - 200 lbs, wide hips, prominent baby belly). This is the opposite from others I looked at!! Several ran very small.
  • Hello ladies,

I'm new and a first time mom. I'll be 19 weeks tomorrow. I just realize that I won't be able to fit into my fall/winter clothes. The thing I'm ready for fall is to found out what I'm having and deliver on February 25.
