My mother in law purchased our crib a few weeks ago when Target was running the $50 gift card with a $250 baby furniture purchase and my father in law and his wife just purchased the matching dresser last week and should be at our house this week. We have diapers and clothes in boxes in the nursery now and have been deciding on the paint color. We were planning on painting next weekend, before we knew a dresser would be arriving soon. When we were discussing that with my father in law and his wife, she practically scolded us on the fact that the room isn't painted yet. She said that it should be done well before the holidays and that we're running out of time. I teach full time and my husband is a full time corrections officer with a rotating schedule so his days don't always line up with family's weekends off. I'm 23 weeks pregnant and I feel like if we paint this or next weekend like we were planning, we're on track to have the room ready by my shower 11/12 before the holidays and soon enough Baby Girl decides to come a bit early. Does it sound like we're on track or are we way off on timing?
