Have I mentioned how much I can't stand my philandering coworker? She gets on my nerves!!!!!!!! She's blessedly going to be off work for the next couple of days because she's going camping with her husband. Apparently, they were supposed to camp with their 3 or 4 kids, but for different reasons they all backed out so now it's just her and her husband. She's complained. all. day. about having to camp with just her husband and how much she doesn't want to go and blah blah blah. Finally I just said, well then don't fucking go. Simple as that. She's one of those people that thrives on drama, so of course she's going just so she can complain when she comes back. She literally told us that nothing good happens to her and has a woe is me attitude. I can't stand her! I know it's awful to say this but I hope she gets mauled by a bear while she's camping. She's an awful human being that sucks at being a person.
Had an appt earlier today where my doc told me that she rather me have a planned c-section due to risk of ruptured uterus instead of vbac. 1st child was c-section that went horribly. So I'm basically having to choose between my well being or the safest for my child. Obviously going to have to do the c-section but I'm pretty much scared and worried about dealing with the recovery.
@mcdonald-bailey I'm sorry you're in that position I had hoped for a vbac with my second but ended up with a scheduled c section. The experience was completely different from my first - it was downright joyful. And the recovery was better too since I knew what to expect, I had time to mentally prepare and didn't have to labor beforehand.
@mcdonald-bailey I'm sorry you were told you should chose C-section again after such a bad experience. I can only imagine how hard it is to have your hope of a vbac taken away but I'm sure this time around will go so much better! Do you have a birth date set then?
I'm in my ob's office. Up 15 lbs already!!! I just told DH that we are uping our healthy diet and exercise plans that seem to have fallen aside the last few months. Ugh.
My DH is a correctional officer and today one of the inmates came up and congratulated him on his wife being pregnant with his first born... One of DH's idiot coworkers told him. So now a man who is in prison for running over a pregnant prostitute knows that I'm pregnant. Awesome.
I know there are a lot of scary things that come along with a c-section, but one pro has to be how crazy exciting it is to know the exact day you'll be meeting her! ETA: let the countdown begin

That is freaking terrifying! Why would his co-worker tell a prisoner ANYTHING about anyone's personal life?! I would be irate!
@SienaC It really creeped me out. I'm sure nothing will come of it, but it's still really messed up of his co-worker. I guess this same co-worker has done similar things to other officers. They are going to have a meeting to discuss what is and isn't appropriate to talk about with inmates. Although he definitely should have already known. Hopefully it helps.
@kap1988 They should definitely be writing him up or something! I get upset when my co-workers tell my patients my personal information and that seems much less scary than telling an inmate! I agree that it should be a no brainer!!
My boss and co-workers have reminded me once again how little they care about me. I got married Saturday and not a single one of them has congratulated me. It shouldn't surprise me though, because when I got back from maternity leave not a single one of them welcomed me back or congratulated me. My boss' words were literally, "Oh, you're back" while handing me a stack of work he'd been saving.

I know it's not Monday, but if I don't get this off my chest, I'm going to blow up on my supervisor today. I'm an accountant. We're in our busy part of the month. We haven't completed anything, and he's already analyzing accounts! Not everything is in....you can't analyze until everything is in! Ugh. (This would be like your teacher giving you a grade before taking the test.) Give me a chance to work!

lol That's pretty funny. My DH did say that this particular inmate is a pretty nice guy and he's not worried about him knowing. But yeah, if there's one thing I've learned since he's been working there it's that being in prison does not mean you are a bad human being and being out of prison doesn't mean you are a good one. Who doesn't say congratulations to someone they work with every day when they get married? So rude.

Good for you! Congratulations! I decided to go into corporate accounting, but there are jobs everywhere for accountants. If you don't want to do public accounting, you don't have to! When I was in school they really pushed it, but I said that I knew I didn't want to do public accounting. Good luck
