Thanks for all the well wishes guys so far things are looking good we are getting close to getting through the critical point and things look reasonably stable.
@Briala sorry I missed this but so glad to hear you have had a stabe day. Sending lots of good energy to you and your baby. Hope things get nice and boring and you settle down for a long time.
So glad you listened to your own body! And thank you for the update! Hopefully you'll be bored enough to keep us in the loop! Good luck with everything the next few months (especially days)!
That is so scary. Glad they were able to help keep her safe and sound inside you where she belongs. Good luck to you and your family over the next couple of months.
Thanks again everyone. Things are going pretty well so far. I get steroid shots at the end of this week for lung development. They are really hoping to get me to 28weeks. I'm still contracting but inconsistently luckily. So as long as there is no infection we should be settling into a long wait 22w3d now. All my dr's are keeping their fingers crossed at this point.
I am just catching up this, I am so happy that you trusted your instincts. Wishing you an uneventful bed rest filled will any entertainment we can provide.

@Briala - so sorry you are going through this. My cervix is also shortening so I go in tomorrow to see if I need a cerclage. I went into L&D at 20+2 because I knew of my shortened cervix and was totally freaked out. I completely agree with you -- if you have any concern, you should go in. Its always better to go in and be told everything is ok then to wait and then be in a position where it becomes more complicated or its to late.
My thoughts and prayers are with you and will hope your baby stays put until at least 24 and hopefully much longer!
About me: Me 35, DH 36 (Unexplained Infertility, possible PCOS) TTC for 3.5 years. 10 clomid cycles (TI & IUI with ovidrel triggers - all BFN). *Loss mentioned & Trigger warning #1 IVF May 2015- resulted in 15 5-day Blasts - SET (fresh) with BFP. Ectopic Preg @ 5w2d, treated with Methotrexate. #2 FET, Sept. 2015, SET MC@8 wks with D&C in November 2015. 13 remaining blasts sent for PGS testing. 1 did not survive the thaw. 6 came back normal from PGS. #3 FET 5/16/16 SET - BFP 5/20/16 Beta's looked great and so did ultrasounds- officially released to my OB! EDD 2/1/17.
So sorry for all that you have been through! Will definitely keep you both in my thoughts and prayers. My daughter just turned 2 this July. When I was 9 weeks pregnant with her I had a blood clot in my leg which travelled up through a hole in my heart I never knew about and went up into my brain and I had 2 strokes. Thank god my baby was fine and I later came out of it with only a minor disability. You are right, things don't always go as planned but you followed your instinct and saved her. I wish you the best. Stay strong and keep us posted!
No I am stuck here until I deliver whenever that may be. I'm only 21w5d so hopefully I make it until baby is viable and has a better chance.
My water started leaking on Tuesday afternoon and after a few hours of me thinking it was nothing I decided call my dr's office. I was advised to check in tomorrow or possibly go to the ER that night if things felt weird. After seeing a little blood in the discharge I decided to go in. Turns out what I though was normal discharge was amniotic fluid. They eventually checked my pelvis to get some swabs when they saw a bulge they thought was baby girls head. But it turns out that after an ultrasound my cervix had started to dilate and send me into active labor but since baby was breech my amniotic sac prolapsed though the hole in my cervix and was weeping fluid. I got transferred hospitals and they did an emergency procedure to pit babyies foot and the sac back in a did a cerclage to keep my cervix closed. So now it's a waiting game. If all goes well and I stop contracting and fighting the cerclage and don't get an infection then I should be able to carry to at least a viable age.
Prayers for you Momma Good thing you went in! ALWAYS trust those momma instincts!
Hey guys I am officially at 23 weeks and got the first steroid shot this morning and get a 2nd tomorrow as well. Contractions are still lingering but manageable. No infection so thats great they are saying this all happened because my cervix failed. Cerclage is holding thank goodness. As far as keeping occupied I've been watching movies, play games, reading, and coloring. It will be easier when I am allowed to sit up a little but for the next 2 weeks at least I am supposed to stay as flat as possible. They are looking to keep me until delivery it looks like. 28 weeks is the first goal so 5 weeks to go.
