@nlane0723 I wasn't in active labor yet so they wouldn't admit me. Contractions slowed to a crawl once they pumped some fluids into me, so I was sent home. But before then, they were every 3-5 min apart and strong. They said I was just dehydrated, despite how dilated I am. So frustrating. Nobody seems to want these babies out but me!
And thanks for the love, y'all. It's getting exhausting and I feel like someone hit me in the vagina with a sledgehammer.
@sjo_thetwins My friend had some similar experiences. She kept getting sent home because fluids would do the trick. Finally her water broke and it was game time. Hopefully soon!!

@sjo_thetwins so sorry you got sent home! I feel like the list of things that dr's and nurses call "normal" and send you home to "just deal with a little longer" gets completely ridiculous at the end of twin pregnancy. Hoping your girls decide to get with the program soon, or your dr takes some pity on you!
@sjo_thetwins while it's usually great to have babies cooking as long as possible, those girls need to come out of there. I can't even imagine how uncomfortable you must be.
@mizzkbrat good luck! Hope it goes quickly and smoothly.
Last night, I woke up from a deep sleep and felt off. I started freaking out and made my husband come upstairs (he was working downstairs so I could sleep). I had cramps and nausea. My hands were clammy. My heart was racing. I was sure I was going into labor.
Turns out I just had gas. With my first child, my water broke and then I had basically nonstop contractions for four hours, so I have no idea what early labor is supposed to feel like. I guess I'm a little paranoid.
@ignoscemihi I felt off the other night and was convinced I was going into labor. Nope. Just in my head I guess. I also had a dream last night that my water broke....it didn't and I'm just glad I didn't pee the bed!

I've never posted and I'm sorry for that but now that I'm closer to D day I'm in need of people that understand me lol I'm 37+2 and had been having some awesome BH and false labor the past week then got up this morning and not a single cramp. Then poof! Lost my MP and had some bloody show stuffs. I know it doesn't necessarily mean I'm headed to the hospital soon, but hey, progress is progress!! This is number 4 baby for me, and I make really BIG babies, the first was 9.5 lbs. so I've been hoping to deliver around 38 weeks to avoid serious stitches, fingers crossed that will be the case. Healthy......that's the main thing.
My H is supposed to be gone for one more week and is leaving tonight to leave for work. I've been having horrible BH all day, I feel off and super cranky. I wish it was real labor but I'm pretty sure it's just more false labor giving me false hope that I'll be done soon.

Had four Braxton hicks during dinner out tonight and thought "no no no.. I haven't vacuumed the car yet!" 39 week appt tomorrow- asking doc to take me off work- Friday's 12 hour shift nearly killed me- we were so busy! Hoping my homegirl, Claire, will hang on till next Monday at least!
@kmolleltz it's hard for sure. But the oil patch has been so horribly slow he wanted to get the extra hours in while he had the chance so he can take 10 days off if my vbac doesn't shake out and I end up with another c section and in that case I'll really need him home for helping me with the older kids. We've done longer stints apart, the longest was 2 months so a week is really nothing, but I think my pregnancy hormones are making me a whiny cling on, both of which I AM NOT.

Well ladies, I had an 8:00 appointment this morning, US during NST showed low fluid, I am dilated nearly to a 5, my OB did a membrane sweep to move things along, contractions started right away, I am currently waiting for labor to progress at home, so Johnny will be here today or tomorrow at the latest!
I'll tell you what, this is my first time laboring on my own (not being induced with pitocin), and they were NOT kidding when they said you'd "just know" real contractions from BH and since my puke-fest last night I just had a "this-is-it" weird anxiety.
@MRSCORKER I don't think so, he just checked me then it felt like all he did was reach up a little further then just swipe and that was that. Uncomfortable, buy not terrible. My MP was apparently already gone. I thought that's what I was seeing yesterday... I should have posted a pic on here to make sure
woohoo! @AllyTheKid... good luck and keep us posted as you're able!!!!
@cbamama641 .... this is my exact fear! Well, not the car (but only b/c I took care of that one last weekend b/c I was stressing over it)... but worried that I'll go into labor and be like... noooo! I haven't finished the laundry!!! Or, the house is a wreck! This can't be it! lol
@MRSCORKER - a membrane sweep is literally sticking a finger into your cervix to separate the amniotic sac from the cervix. Nothing to do with the MP really.
@bnsmith85 I've had a couple water breaking scares and every time I'm like "No, I didn't shower yet!" or "No, I just started cleaning the bedroom!!" Lol

my plug i feel really damp..it's way not normal but i'm pretty sure it's not leaking...right?
Stupid question... Is a membrane sweep the same thing as pulling the MP?
