I have a question about EDD. If I am almost certain what day I conceived, but the due date from that day is different from what the doctor told me because baby measured ahead at ultrasound, do I go with what I think is correct or what they think? Do I switch my ticker to the new due date and my ticker-switch day of the week to reflect the new one? I know it's just preference but I like having the ticker on Thursdays now that I'm used to it but also because it counts down from my anniversary, which is when I think I conceived. So I'm curious: do you all just go with what the doctor says then? Thanks!
@HGRich I guess it would depend how far off the two days are. If they are just a few days off, I would just stay with what I know. However, if its nearly a week off, I tend to think the Dr is probably right. Also, were you tracking ovulation by temping, checking CM, etc. Otherwise, there really is no real way to know WHEN you conceived...
@KirstinH88 it's only 3 days off. I was tracking ovulation religiously like a nut so I'm around 90% sure. Of course it's possible I was wrong. Maybe I'll go with a happy medium.
@HGRich I'm keeping my LMP due date even though the US measured 2 days behind. It's not a huge difference to go change my signature. Plus babies don't always come on their due dates!
@HGRich, I definitely think it's up to you. My OB changed my due date 5 times during my pregnancy with DS. So I stuck to my original due date based on LMP and conception date.
I kept my original date they gave me.. I measured a few days behind that date but they won't change your date by less than a week so I'll keep it at what my official due date according to my obgyn is.
Hi all! I have been hesitant to come back to the boards, I had a CP in July, but had a BFP in early August with EDD of 4/16 (but I'm not sure because of the CP). I see my doc on Sept 9th, so I am sitting tight appreciating all the miserable symptoms as they come and hoping for the best. I feel SUPER pregnant this time around, so fingers crossed it is sticky.
I have a vivacious 3.5 year old DD who can't wait to be a big sister, but we aren't sure when to tell her the news. I'm quickly approaching 36, so I am nervous about all the things that go along with that. Hope I get to hang with you ladies for the long haul!
I love your comment about appreciating the miserable symptoms of pregnancy. I had an early MC last November (at 7 weeks), but I never really felt pregnant in that short time. Now this time, I'm feeling the tell-tale symptoms of sore boobs, bloating, moodiness, and fatigue and I just keep thinking to myself these are all good things because it's the only reassurance I have that everything is going ok until my first ultrasound on Sept 13.
Hi ladies! I'm an almost 35 year old mother of 3 - ages 8, 6, and 4. I've always wanted four and DH got on board after getting baby fever at a friend's daughter's first birthday party, ha!
I got my BFP 8/14 and my EDD is 4/21. The timing of this is very special to us as DH just lost his mom in July and her birthday is 4/17.
I look forward to getting to know you all - I'm still very close with several moms from my previous birth month babies!
Hi everyone! Been lurking for a few days and I decided I'd finally do my intro. I'm 30 years old and my husband is...a little older! We have been together for 16 years And we have 2 kiddos. Our son is 14 and our daughter will be 2 next week. This will be our last baby. We dealt with secondary infertility due to a brain tumor my husband had removed in 2007. Our daughter was a complete surprise as we had given up trying. We wanted one more but had so much trouble before, we didn't think it would happen so soon. I own a small custom cake shop and work on demand so I get to stay home most of the time with my little love bug. I was previously on the September 14' board but wasn't as active as I would have like to have been. I hope to get to know all of you ladies and I look forward to sharing this journey with you all
Hi I'm new to the board. I surprisingly got my BFP on 8/30. I have 6 kids and my youngest is almost 11 months. I wasn't expecting a positive but I haven't had my AF since April 23. I saw a test at the dollar store and just wanted to check. At the end of July I was in the hospital for my appendix and had a PG test there that was negative. So after I found out I went to the Dr for a blood test. My levels were over 123,000. I was so shocked. So I pulled out my Doppler and found the heartbeat!!! I won't know how far along I am until 9/8 when I get my ultrasound. So crazy!!! I'm excited to get to know all of you
Hello ladies! So happy to be joining you guys! This will be the 3rd edition to our tribe BFP 8/15 EDD 4/26 DH both are 31 and our kiddos are 5 &2. First appt scheduled for next week - so excited to see our jelly bean! So far symptoms tolerable- sore boobs and some good ol' nausea - but that is just mother nature saying everything is going okay :-) Will be rubbing juju beads and waving spirit fingers hoping for normal smooth pregnancy this go around ----had previa with the first one and pre-eclampsia with the second. So third time a charm for easy going pregnancy right?!?!? Looking forward to getting to know all of you.
Hi y'all I live in Central Texas with my husband and our son. I feel like it's finally safe to intro. The beginning of this pregnancy has been a whirlwind, but I think we're finally in a good place.
I have a son who just turned 2 (Sept-14). We started trying for #2 right before he turned one, and it took us about a year before I got my first BFP. I actually got a referral to a fertility specialist from my GP and the next day got a positive. Go figure! I started taking Vitex after 11 months of trying and had been taking it for 2 months when we got our BFP. I have a feeling it had something to do with our success.
The first blood draw they did showed beta #s that were too low for how far along I should have been, and the subsequent test showed that they barely rose. In addition, my progesterone levels were low, but my OB didn't want to supplement because it might "delay the inevitable." My OB had me come in for an exam. My in-office urine test was negative. Based on that and her internal exam, she said it was inevitable that I was miscarrying. I had bad cramping, but no other signs of loss, so I just wasn't sure. They scheduled a follow-up beta draw to confirm the numbers were back to 0 (or at least going down). After that next blood draw, I got a call the next day saying that my numbers had not only gone up, but they had quadrupled in about 1.5 days, which was totally unexpected. I had another Beta draw 2 days later, and the numbers continued to go up, but progesterone stayed low...but she was okay with that. They had me wait on the first US to make sure they could see something, and last week we had our first US that showed everything in the right place and a heartbeat! The only catch is that baby is measuring 2 weeks behind where it should based on my LMP. My EDD should be April 8, but she dated me as an April 22 EDD. I do have 35 day cycles, but even with that taken into account, I'm measuring a week behind. So, I'm still a little nervous about how far behind I'm measuring, but feeling much more hopeful. Also, interesting fact...the EDD I was given, means that I got my first BFP at home at exactly 3 weeks...which seems almost impossible, but I'll go with it.
Hey guys! I'm due April 23rd with #3. We had TTTC with our first and finally had her after clomid and 3 years TTC. When she was 3 months old, I found out I was pregnant! Crazy. Our 2 are 11 months apart, so roughly 2 1/2 and 18 months. Excited to get to know you all!
Hi Mommas- I'm due towards the end of April with our second. My son is currently 14 months. If I thought I was sick with him, I don't even know how to describe how I'm feeling now! It's awful. Hoping to be feeling better in a couple months. I work full time as a school principal and my amazing husband has been picking up all the parenting slack these last few weeks while I've been so sick. I was a member on the Bump with my first but disconnected around month 7 because I found it very catty and negative. Hoping for a better experience this time! Support is important!
Edited to add we live in Portland, CT and would love to meet some other moms of Littles in the area
@kashibear Congrats on the "Irish twins" (I hope you don't find that term offensive). My first two are also 11 months apart - quite a load when they are little, but I love that they are now the best of friends (at 7 & 8).
Hello everyone. This is baby number 2 for me. My son will be 2 in a month and the peanut is set to arrive April 7th. I am 36, so I'm over the hill for baby making , and DH is 35.
Hi, everyone! I'm so excited to join this board! I was waiting for a second ultrasound and hearing the heartbeat to join, as I've had to early losses, but so far everything looks great! I got a BFP 10dpo however, even thought we were trying I didn't think I ovulated that month- guess I was wrong! EDD is April 14. I'll be 30 on Sunday and DH is 30 as well. We currently have a daughter who turned 2 this past June. I'm an outpatient therapist working part time with couples and individuals who suffer with eating disorders. I'm so excited to get to know everyone!
Hello all! Very excited to join this community board. I got a BFP on August 22nd, the day after returning from celebrating my 30th bday in Costa Rica. It was a pleasant surprise, as it was our first month of "letting what will be, be." This is the first for myself and second for DH. I currently work as a neuroscience researcher at Columbia University. I am very much looking forward to getting to know others and sharing this wonderful experience together!
Hi everyone! DH and I are 31 and have been TTC #1 since January 2013 (not trying/not preventing for more than a decade.) Last year we had 3 medicated IUI's and this year 2 IVF cycles. The first worked but we miscarried at 6 weeks due to a chromosomal abnormality. We got our 2nd BFP on 7/28 and on 8/16 we found out it's twins! I'm currently 11wk5d and EDD is 4/6/2017

Hello everyone. I'm in my eighth week of pregnancy. I'm due around the 28th of April and I'm super excited to be a mommy. I was hoping to wait a few more years, but I am financially stable place. I'm a 22 year old college student and this is my first pregnancy. I've never been pregnant before so I'm hoping all goes well.
I'm hoping to meet all of you and make some friends. Please don't be afraid to message me. I could use any advice and tips any of you might have.
Hello everyone! I'm a little late to the game, I had no idea this forum existed! I'm 25, husband will be 29 in October and we live in Phoenix. First baby, second pregnancy. Had a miscarriage in January that almost killed me (literally and figuratively). It took a long time to be okay but we're here. This time around we're due April 15th. BFP was August 4th. We just went in yesterday and got to see baby swimming all over the place! Nice to meet you all!
Hey friends! I am a returning bumpie from Jan15. That board has since moved to fabo so, I'm getting re-acquainted with the board setup. We had our 1st OB appointment today and EDD will be 4-23-2017! Here we go baby number 2. Our 1st is still under two but, I'm happy to share what little experience I have with the group. I hope everyone is feeling great and enjoying the 1stT.
Hi ladies, my name is Ashlee I'm 24 and my fiancé is 25, we have a beautiful daughter who is now 18 months old and are expecting baby #2 April 13, 2017. I work as a surgical vet tech in h-town Texas, along with our daughter we have 6 fur babies!!!! Needless to say we have a very large family and counting!
Hi Everyone, Finally feels okay to be doing this. I'm a FTM but had a loss about a year ago. After the 8wk u/s and the 12wk u/s things are looking great. However, the more people we tell, the more the panic starts to set in. Currently just shy of 13 weeks at 12w5d. ... EDD April 5th ... I've been terribly sick and not sure how I would have made it through work without diclegis. Happily I'm feeling less nauseous these days and also feeling like I'm starting to show. I've been lurking on here for a while and a lot of the threads have helped me calm my nerves.
Hi all! I'm a FTM pregnant with our Rainbow! I had a MC In June 2015, took a long break and started trying again in July 2016. We are expecting again, April 20th 2017! We've had two ultrasounds, one at 7wks and another at 10wks. Baby was moving all around and very healthy. I also have a home doppler and heard baby's heartbeat going strong this afternoon at 11wks. I'm elated to be further along in this pregnancy and really starting to feel like this is going to happen for us. I hope everyone is doing okay and enjoying their pregnancies (as much as you can in the first trimester, lol)
I am so happy to be able to connect with other April 2017 mommies to be! I am new to the bump, and this is our first baby. We have been trying for this baby since April 2014, and it's been a long emotional road including a round of IVF that ended in miscarriage. I have been holding my breath a bit throughout this first trimester, but it is finally feeling safe to start enjoying this pregnancy... sounds like quite a few of you have been through something like this and I am so happy to connect with people who can relate!! I am just past 12 weeks and EDD is April 13th.
I am Aileen My SO and I have been married 4 years this past May. I am 27 on my 3rd pregnancy. My first pregnancy in 2013 ended in loss at 12 weeks. My beautiful rainbow Hazel was born Oct 1 2014! This is babe will be due end of April!
I was extremely active on the Oct14 board, but after all the drama happened I just left. Hoping I can be active here without drama lol you all seem like a great group!
I'm Kat from Long Island, NY. I have a 2 year old little girl, born April 24, 2014 and my EDD with baby #2 is April 27, 2017. I got my BFP on August 24th, 14 days after my 40th birthday. I had 2 previous pregnancies, one before my daughter which was an ectopic and another miscarriage between my daughter and this little one. My DH and I talked about having another, but never really planned it like we did with DD. It took us just about a year to conceive her. We both work full time (bills, bills, bills!!) and DD is in a home based daycare near our home.
I look forward to traveling this road with you all!!!
@Aarg I'm also an Oct 2014 mom! I was very sad to see our group leave--they were fun! But I never joined a FB group or anything so I have no idea how everyone is doing
Hi everyone, I'm late to the party on this one. I'm 28 and my husband is 30 and we're going to be first time parents due 9th April. I've suffered with severe morning sickness and even at gone 13 weeks I'm still sick although we had our first scan yesterday and seeing our little baby on the screen for the first time made everything worthwhile! I hope everyone's doing OK I'm very excited about the journey to come
Hey everyone, this is my first pregnancy after doing fertility treatments. I'm due with twins April 13th!! I would to speak with others pregnant with twins!
I never actually wrote anything on this thread and now it's really too late since I've been around for weeks now. But I was afraid to be official until second trimester. So I guess I'll go ahead.
Here's a bit more about me:
I'm 28, and DH is 27. We've been married four years, met in college. He was actually the first man I ever dated. We've been TTC since last August or so, once I finished grad school (MA in Philosophy). (TW) conceived our angel baby on 4/2 and lost on 6/7 at 11 weeks. We were so devastated. (/TW) But we're so grateful to be pregnant again already, with our second chance, and rainbow baby!
I personally think we conceived on Thursday the 28th of July because I was using OPKs and I hadn't even ovulated by Monday, but doc has my EDD at 4/17 and I'll go with it. Being a Monday ticker change is a nice start to the week anyway. Ha!
I work at a church and I love it. I work in marriage, adult, and senior adult ministry. They've been a fantastic place to work while I was in grad school and coping with an overwhelming schedule, and they've also been so supportive through my loss. I told my bosses, two of the pastors, about my rainbow pregnancy pretty early and they've been a great source of support. I hope to be a SAHM when baby is born, and DH has been supportive of that since we were dating. He works a good job and we're so blessed to have that potential option. But I will miss my job!
I'm grateful for the bump community who have given me people to talk to through the first trimester. I'm hoping for my rainbow baby and continued conversation through the second and third trimesters with you all!
@Aarg I'm also an Oct 2014 mom! I was very sad to see our group leave--they were fun! But I never joined a FB group or anything so I have no idea how everyone is doing
Yeah it was really weird... lol I kept trying to be added to the Facebook group but no one ever added me. I was on that one weird website for a little while and then I stopped because it was too confusing and it was still all drama. Hopefully everyone is doing well! Glad you are here though!
