I have a vivacious 3.5 year old DD who can't wait to be a big sister, but we aren't sure when to tell her the news. I'm quickly approaching 36, so I am nervous about all the things that go along with that. Hope I get to hang with you ladies for the long haul!
I wish you the best at your appt!
I got my BFP 8/14 and my EDD is 4/21. The timing of this is very special to us as DH just lost his mom in July and her birthday is 4/17.
I look forward to getting to know you all - I'm still very close with several moms from my previous birth month babies!
eidited to to add my EDD is 4.23
I have a son who just turned 2 (Sept-14). We started trying for #2 right before he turned one, and it took us about a year before I got my first BFP. I actually got a referral to a fertility specialist from my GP and the next day got a positive. Go figure! I started taking Vitex after 11 months of trying and had been taking it for 2 months when we got our BFP. I have a feeling it had something to do with our success.
The first blood draw they did showed beta #s that were too low for how far along I should have been, and the subsequent test showed that they barely rose. In addition, my progesterone levels were low, but my OB didn't want to supplement because it might "delay the inevitable." My OB had me come in for an exam. My in-office urine test was negative. Based on that and her internal exam, she said it was inevitable that I was miscarrying. I had bad cramping, but no other signs of loss, so I just wasn't sure. They scheduled a follow-up beta draw to confirm the numbers were back to 0 (or at least going down). After that next blood draw, I got a call the next day saying that my numbers had not only gone up, but they had quadrupled in about 1.5 days, which was totally unexpected. I had another Beta draw 2 days later, and the numbers continued to go up, but progesterone stayed low...but she was okay with that. They had me wait on the first US to make sure they could see something, and last week we had our first US that showed everything in the right place and a heartbeat! The only catch is that baby is measuring 2 weeks behind where it should based on my LMP. My EDD should be April 8, but she dated me as an April 22 EDD. I do have 35 day cycles, but even with that taken into account, I'm measuring a week behind. So, I'm still a little nervous about how far behind I'm measuring, but feeling much more hopeful. Also, interesting fact...the EDD I was given, means that I got my first BFP at home at exactly 3 weeks...which seems almost impossible, but I'll go with it.
Edited to add we live in Portland, CT and would love to meet some other moms of Littles in the area
I am a FTM with EDD of April 28. I am 25 and my husband is 29. Excited for this adventure!

Nice to meet you!
I am Aileen My SO and I have been married 4 years this past May. I am 27 on my 3rd pregnancy. My first pregnancy in 2013 ended in loss at 12 weeks. My beautiful rainbow Hazel was born Oct 1 2014! This is babe will be due end of April!
I was extremely active on the Oct14 board, but after all the drama happened I just left.
Hoping I can be active here without drama lol
you all seem like a great group!
I'm Kat from Long Island, NY. I have a 2 year old little girl, born April 24, 2014 and my EDD with baby #2 is April 27, 2017. I got my BFP on August 24th, 14 days after my 40th birthday. I had 2 previous pregnancies, one before my daughter which was an ectopic and another miscarriage between my daughter and this little one. My DH and I talked about having another, but never really planned it like we did with DD. It took us just about a year to conceive her. We both work full time (bills, bills, bills!!) and DD is in a home based daycare near our home.
I look forward to traveling this road with you all!!!
this is my first pregnancy after doing fertility treatments. I'm due with twins April 13th!! I would to speak with others pregnant with twins!
Here's a bit more about me:
I'm 28, and DH is 27. We've been married four years, met in college. He was actually the first man I ever dated.
We've been TTC since last August or so, once I finished grad school (MA in Philosophy). (TW) conceived our angel baby on 4/2 and lost on 6/7 at 11 weeks. We were so devastated. (/TW) But we're so grateful to be pregnant again already, with our second chance, and rainbow baby!
I personally think we conceived on Thursday the 28th of July because I was using OPKs and I hadn't even ovulated by Monday, but doc has my EDD at 4/17 and I'll go with it.
I work at a church and I love it. I work in marriage, adult, and senior adult ministry. They've been a fantastic place to work while I was in grad school and coping with an overwhelming schedule, and they've also been so supportive through my loss. I told my bosses, two of the pastors, about my rainbow pregnancy pretty early and they've been a great source of support. I hope to be a SAHM when baby is born, and DH has been supportive of that since we were dating. He works a good job and we're so blessed to have that potential option. But I will miss my job!
I'm grateful for the bump community who have given me people to talk to through the first trimester. I'm hoping for my rainbow baby and continued conversation through the second and third trimesters with you all!
Hopefully everyone is doing well!
Glad you are here though!
