@canavara Sounds like good old lightening boob. I had this on the side of my right breast about a month ago. Let us know what your OB says. Mine just brushed it off as another lovely pregnancy symptom. It went away.
Yeah so nurses at the OB's office and nurses at my GP both think it's probably just "lightning boob" but they're having me come in to see an NP tomorrow morning just to be on the safe side. I had texted my doula while waiting for the OB to call back and she kind of freaked me out with "it doesn't sound pregnancy related, it sounds cardiac... but then, you said you haven't had any trouble breathing so.... yeah, let's call the OB again..."
Finally got hold of the OB nurse: "It sounds like your milk glands are starting to produce colostrum. Sometimes it hurts... but, we don't like to take it lightly when someone is having chest pain, especially on the left side... so... yes, come in tomorrow morning for sure."
TTMA minivans! DH and I are getting ready to buy/lease a new/used car so we have gone a few times to take a peak at some options. At first we were really interested in the crossovers but they seem pretty obnoxious after having been in a few. 2nd row bench seats are annoying because I hate the idea of climbing over it with a child or infant during loading and unloading. Right now we are considering a Chevy Traverse (crossover) Honda Odyssey and a Chrysler Pacifica, anyone have any of these currently? Any likes/dislikes about them? I love that the Pacific seats can literally fold into the floor so no climbing over but the Honda's seats can be completely removed for the same effect.
We will have 3 kids in car seats that I will be responsible for getting in and out on my own on a regular basis. Any other suggestions? We are planning to actually purchase in late September or early October.
We have a 2008 Honda Odyssey that we got this past January and I cannot emphasize enough how much I love that van. So much space for passengers, good storage space in the trunk, half decent gas mileage... I love it! My only 2 complaints are that on ours, the gas light doesn't come on until you're just about out of gas and when it does, it doesn't make a noise. Because of that, my first time driving to my parents' house by myself after we bought it I ran out of gas on the turnpike. Thank God for AAA ! But with that, once you know about it, you know to keep an eye on the gas once you hit a quarter tank, and that may have been improved in later models. My other complaint is that it does NOT off road at all. If you have to park in grass for whatever reason (visiting a farm, going to a fall festival, etc), it will not go up hills that are steep at all. So that's another thing to just be aware of and avoid if possible. Other than that, love it!
Nurse inspected my boobs and after a lot of hand-waving came to the conclusion: "Milk ducts and random growing pains from pregnancy. Nothing I see or feels concerning at the moment. If it's still hurting at your normal appointment next week, we'll maybe do an ultrasound of the breast for cystic activity but... I'm not concerned. Just stop touching it and apply a heating pad and take some tylenol. Peace."
