I've eaten an embarrassing amount of chili this month because @RunBooRun has it in her signature and nearly every time I see her post anything on any board I see it and it makes me crave it.

So this weekend we were at a birthday party and I told the people who didn't know yet that I'm pregnant and everyone's first question was "what are you having?" I know that people a curious, but that is something you don't usually find out until halfway through. I'm barely showing, but my sensitive, hormonal brain thought "wow do I look that big??" Ha!
This weekend I swallowed my pride and bought some old lady underwear, the kind that comes in a multipack, one size larger than my normal size... Ahhhh... Sweet relief.
This morning I had a heart melting moment with my 2 yo. I was driving him to daycare and he says, "mommy, look, bubble!" and he was so excited about it. I look in the review mirror and see him pointing to the sky. He was looking at the moon and thought it was a giant bubble. I thought it was the most precious thing.

Same! Someone posted an amazing Iowa Girl Eats recipe for chili and I literally made it twice in one week and enjoyed the leftovers for another whole week...lol SO GOOD!!!
I bought the current issue of Food Network magazine because of all the pumpkin and pizza recipes it advertised. There's a pumpkin chili recipe that I'm excited about (because yes, that chili signature kills me, @RunBooRun ), and a grape cake that I'm going to make because I miss wine, and a pumpkin pasta that I made last night and fell in love with. Even my picky husband ate every bite in his bowl. 10/10 recommend pregnant ladies go get this magazine. haha

Omg @datalover13 potstickers. Would kill for my mom's right now. Honestly I think the only cravings I've had so far have all been for authentic Chinese food. And while I'm a decent cook I can't do most of the traditional stuff and definitely not as good as my mom.

Off to look up a chilli recipe better then my normal one cuz now it seems like what would be super fitting for dinner soon.
I close my office door to pump every 2 hours but spend more time on the internet and doing random stuff for myself uninterrupted then actually pumping...
I'm already getting medical bills in the mail. I thought because they are all pregnancy related (labs, ultrasounds, etc) I wouldn't get them till post baby! I know they all exist---but it's easier to just ignore it for 9mo. Next baby I think TTC will start around in Dec/Jan so that the bills will all land in the same insurance year...haha. I'll just be hitting my 100% out of pocket deductible at the end of this year with the Anatomy Scan, then we get to start all over in 2017 with hospital and provider bills from birth! Oh, joy!
Bah... DH gave DS his cold and now DS has given it to me. Nothing too terrible thus far. I'm annoyed because the list of approved cold medications that my doctor gave me has "Tylenol Cold and Cough" on it and apparently that's no longer a thing. And I'm too lazy to actually call and talk to a nurse.
Finally found a vet who doesn't tell me I need to get my dogs teeth cleaned. Like I love my dog and all, but I'm not paying thousands of dollars so you can put my 8 year old dog under and clean his teeth.
Well, now that everyone has been talking about it and I've seen the signature pic, I want some chili!
And a nap please. I usually come home for lunch and some days (like today) it's SO hard to muster up the energy to get up and leave again for another few hours of work.
@CanadianintheSouth The one time I entrusted my husband with taking the dog to the vet he came back and told me that he scheduled her for a cleaning and that it would be at least $750. I was like, "Well, you can call and cancel that tomorrow." General anesthesia is especially risky for our pug (and other smooshy-face breeds), so I'm definitely not going to agree to put her under just for that. Maybe if there was some other reason she needed to be put under and they could do it at the same time. That's really the only way I see it happening.
I about my water today, I suck as a human being and I have noted that I in
the last 4 or 5 weeks I have averaged like maybe 10oz of water a day!!! THAT’S IT
other then my 16oz of coffee I was drinking no other liquid! uggggggggggggggggg
But today Ia m almost done with a gallon and its not even 1:30 *happy dance*

omg. I need this. I feel so guilty every time after I leave the vet =/ I get it I get it! BUT that's a lot of money.. and putting my 7 year old doggie to sleep, Im kind of scared about that!
@chrlyr I know it's ridiculous! They quoted it at over a thousand dollars at the vet I used to go to. I politely said I would get back to them, but thinking in my head 'hell no'. I agree, if he needed to be put under for another reason I would for sure consider it, until then no thank you.
@mrsyimster the guilt trip is awful! I was dreading taking him to his old vet, so I decided to try a new one out closer to my house (we moved but I never changed vets, but my husband told me I'm ridiculous driving 1/2 hour each way to go to the vet when there are plenty of others around). Thank goodness they are much more realistic at this one! Guilt free leaving his appointment this morning
I'm glad I'm not the only one with the chili cravings, thanks for the reassurance y'all!
Last week, for a staff meeting I brought chili (because I made enough to feed a small army) and cornbread (because I live in the south, so chili should always be served with a side of cornbread) and one of my staff happened to also bring cookies. They were so excited that they deemed it "C" week since all the foods started with C. Then they demanded that this week had to be "D" week.
So I brought donuts to our staff meetings this week. This is about to be an expensive habit... Anyone have a suggestion for an "E" food for next week?
My son is sick Nothing major, a 100.8 degree fever and cold, but I took off work. Poor kid is miserable and I don't want to give him more Tylenol because I want to give out to him at 6 before bed. He finally just fell asleep now at 3:30.
I really wish Tony and Ziva from NCIS could have ended up together and rode off into the sunset all fairy tale like and happy... they were my favorites ..sorry, reruns are playing and I'm getting sentimental lol
@mrsyimster - I love the white mocha from Starbucks! I usually ask for mine with half the syrup.....then you get the yummy flavor but it isn't quite as sweet!

I just got into the salted caramel mocha that Starbucks just brought back. That will tide me over until the Chestnut Praline Latte returns... I think that may be my favorite drink of all time.

@longliveregina I'm sorry your DS isn't feeling great. Glad you could be with him today. Hope he takes a nice long nap and wakes feeling better!
He woke up the second I shut the door, lol. I had to let him sleep on me in the rocking chair for an hour. My abdomen is a little sore after all the toddler carrying, lol, but I'm glad I'm here. I think I'll probably be home tomorrow too.
