Re: PGAL weekly check in 9.19.16
24 weeks! Viability! Woooo! January 9 team blue
oy - so many feels. All my emotions are just magnified. Yesterday was just a hard day of gestating - just so tired and weepy. But I woke up today feeling better.
4. How are you feeling (anxiety wise)
I am doing pretty good. Feeling a little anxious about my fundal height measuring a little small at my last appointment (20 when it should have been 22) but trying to remind myself that within 2 cm is considered normal and to just wait and see if it catches up at my next appointment.
5. When is your next appointment?
October 4
rant - I posted about this on the Sunday ticker change too but I am just really freaked out by/really don't like how big my boobs are getting. It was really fun at first but I've passed the point of liking them. I don't like the way it feels when they rest on my belly, I don't like that I am starting to bulge out of the bra I bought that was already 3 cup sizes bigger than my pre-pregnancy size. They are enormous and they don't even have milk yet! and I hate when anything touches my nipples. They aren't painful per se it just is a weird sensation and I feel repulsed when it happens. It makes me worried I won't like nursing and will struggle to bond with my baby.
rave - found some cute maternity shirts on clearance at old navy so I snagged a few. Two were $4-5 and one was $1.50!
7. Anything else on your mind?
@ThePax89 is Olive perking up any?
8. GTKY - are you planning a fun pregnant costume for Halloween?
I am leaning towards something simple like being mike from monsters inc and my belly be his eye ball lol.

21+3, blue, late Jan.
Good! Had some sciatic pain Friday and I'm going to the chiro today (yay!). Still get Hobbit hungry, then can't eat a whole lot for a meal. Feel stuffed then an hour later I'm ready for second dinner. Love feeling little Tucker move though, it's just the best.
4. How are you feeling (anxiety wise)
Very good! The only thing is I think that I'm not eating as healthy as I did last time around. Basically, I am, but I feel like I'm not as hard core as the first time around with more guilty pleasures.
5. When is your next appointment?
Oct. 14, hopefully I can get my delivery date (csection). With parents out of town and DH in nursing school, I gotta get this crap planned.
Not much, other than trying to figure out maternity clothes and this hellish heat. I don't want a whole bunch of summer stuff because the weather SHOULD change soon, but it's too damn hot for cute fall stuff. I just want some new cute clothes and I'm stuck, waiting for Satan to change the thermostat.
7. Anything else on your mind?
I think my son will be spending a four day weekend with his grandparents in Oct., which means I can start painting the nursery. Yay!
8. GTKY - are you planning a fun pregnant costume for Halloween?
I think my son might be Darth Vader and I'm going to be the Death Star. #parentingwin

4. How are you feeling (anxiety wise) Most days pretty well. Still really trying to wrap my head around all the what ifs that I'm going to be faced with when it comes to delivering since I've been diagnosed with GD. I know if it's under control I have a lot more freedom so I am working very hard to keep it under control. It seems so far away yet something I need to worry about.
5. When is your next appointment? 9/27 - It's with a different OB in the office so I hope to get a few answers to my questions but will probably be asking them all again when I see my regular OB to make sure she's on the same page.
7. Anything else on your mind? Not really
8. GTKY - are you planning a fun pregnant costume for Halloween? My son is going as Mickey Mouse. I am thinking of getting a t-shirt that has Minnie ears on the belly part to wear for trick-or-treating.

24 weeks! January 8th due date with this little girl.
Holy heartburn. It's actually making me nauseous and the occasional burp vomit. My hands are also super dry- hopefully November and December aren't too cold or I think my hands will be chapped and bleeding by the end of this pregnancy.
I have also started getting contractions when I'm booking it to the train at the end of the day. I talked to my doctor about it this morning and she said I need to avoid any strenuous activity - which now includes power walking. I also need to hydrate even more- how much water can one woman drink?
4. How are you feeling (anxiety wise)
my anxiety has risen with the contractions starting. I was hoping my doctor would calm me down, but she said she experienced the same with her daughter and she had her at 35 weeks. So now I'm worried even more. Hearing her heartbeat and her moving around today was comforting though.
5. When is your next appointment?
OB and GD testing on the 3rd
I live in central NJ and commute to Jersey City (my office overlooks the Manhattan skyline and we are directly across from the WTC). The bombings over the weekend delayed my train getting into the office today. I was hoping going in late since I had a dr appointment this morning would help me avoid the delays and cancellations but no such luck. My husband is talking about me driving to work from now on too- which seems like a nightmare since I typically drive about an hour a week and would have to drive about an hour each way to work. I really wish we were bringing the baby into a safer world but this is our reality.
7. Anything else on your mind?
our crib is being delivered tomorrow. I'm so excited to have the nursery start coming together.
8. GTKY - are you planning a fun pregnant costume for Halloween?
we were invited to a Halloween party this year so I have been looking for some ideas. I love the Death Star idea @AlabamaRedhead and my husband is a huge Star Wars fan so he would love being darth Vader- but wearing a mask at a party is super annoying, so that might now work. I've also seen the zombie baby poking out of a shirt idea that I think I can pull off and still be able to be comfortable through out the night.

24w6d, Jan 4th, Pink!
Baby kicks are stronger and stronger! Crazy emotions, days of exhaustion, and a cry-fest yesterday that lead to colostrum blotches on my t-shirt.
4. How are you feeling (anxiety wise)
Pretty good. Flips, spins, and kicks keep me pretty calm, but every once in a while I'll have a momentary flip out.
5. When is your next appointment?
Oct 7th for checkup and 1 hour glucose test
I've just had a horrible week. So many things have just messed up. H's car, our bikes stolen, squatter in our apartment's basement, broken toilet, hacked apple ID. It's just been a mess.
7. Anything else on your mind?
Though a shitty week is under my belt, I have gotten a ton of my cleaning done, with H's help. He is really getting into the nesting thing, too, which is super nice.
8. GTKY - are you planning a fun pregnant costume for Halloween?
I was kinda thinking about Miley Cyrus on the Wrecking Ball that is my stomach, or H dressed in a white shirt with a hat that says "Milk Man" and me in a 50s styled outfit.

Symptoms: ok so someone talk me down. I feel so guilty. I feel terrible. I feel gigantic. Can't bend, sleep, Chase around my daughter, or eat too much or else my stomach actually feels like it will explode. I never felt this way with my daughter's pregnancy (maybe a little toward the end), but holy shit 14-18 weeks left!!!!!!!!!! I think it is because this was my third pregnancy in 4.5 months. I was in the first trimester from October 2015-August 2016. I just want to fast forward to December and meet my baby (because she's coming early, I decided).
Some teens rear ended me this week. My toddler and I are fine. I went to the midwife who has now told me twice "don't worry, the baby isn't viable". Thanks bitch.
I may be a kangaroo for Halloween and put a Joey on my belly.
@ceclarlinetlo eh. I think she's breach, I feel pitter patters on my cervix. I'm just a nut. Thanks for thinking of me. As for the boobs, I'd imagine that is very uncomfortable!!!!! Especially them resting on your belly. My boobs are broken and refuse to grow.
@ThePax89 First...a lot of doctors consider baby's viable at 24 weeks. It'd be a hard road and I'm sure the odds aren't there but some baby's make it. But, more important, WTF is a birth provider doing saying that. Do you like your midwife or do you have other options? I don't care if my baby isn't viable yet, I still want my provider to feel like they need to do everything in their power to make sure she's healthy.
As for talking you down, all I can say is it's all normal. And I think you're right, being in the first trimester for almost a year is tough, not too mention all the emotions that come with that, your body would probably like you to take it easy (easier said than done with a toddler). I hope you see some breaks in the misery even if temporary.
24 weeks 5 days! EDD is January 4th but OB is inducing around 39 weeks due to type 2 diabetes. Team Blue!
Feeling ok. Tired and all that but to be expected.
3. How are you feeling (anxiety wise)
Fine actually. I know I have a viable pregnancy and I lost my last one at 10 weeks but embryo stopped growing at 5 weeks. So I'm cautiously optimistic.
4. When is your next appointment?
October 4th this is the hour long appt with the midwife.
So tired of being tired!
6. Anything else on your mind?
People still thinking it's ok to put their 2 cents in on my pregnancy. Oh and people who don't really care asking me how I feel. I know you don't care so don't ask. It would be less uncomfortable for both of us. A few of my husband's acquaintances have been doing this.
7. GTKY - are you planning a fun pregnant costume for Halloween?
We have decided either we're going as the couple from Juno or my belly is going to be the koolaid man breaking through a brick wall.
2. how far along are you? EDD? Team green pink or blue? 22/23 wks Team BLUE
4. How are you feeling (anxiety wise) Not sure on her anxiety, mine is so so still worried as always even though i see the little guy moving etc..
5. When is your next appointment? 9/21/16
7. Anything else on your mind? Nope
8. GTKY - are you planning a fun pregnant costume for Halloween? Not sure on this.. i'll ask wifey
John
And I'm also due on the 8th and completely positive this is a December baby- I'm too big and uncomfortable to deal with those 8 days in January anyway.
BFP#4- 9/26 edd 6/5/18
2. how far along are you? EDD? Team green pink or blue? 25 weeks, team blue!
4. How are you feeling (anxiety wise) Great, I can't believe it's been 6 months, but it also feels like an eternity is left to go.
5. When is your next appointment? 10/6 for my glucose test
7. Anything else on your mind? I found out my twin sister is pregnant with her second! Totally unplanned and a complete shock but so excited.
8. GTKY - are you planning a fun pregnant costume for Halloween? I'm so lame. I always try and get something fun for my daughter, but for me I'm just the lame parent in plain clothes.
25 weeks!!! January 2. GREEN - and still not that curious!
4. How are you feeling (anxiety wise): I've been feeling pretty good recently. My anxiety will ramp up before my GD test in a little less than 2 weeks, but I'm trying to stay positive. It feels good to have hit 25 weeks.
5. When is your next appointment? I'll go for my glucose test on the 30th, but I won't have another appointment until October 12th.
7. Anything else on your mind? Not so much!
8. GTKY - are you planning a fun pregnant costume for Halloween? I'd really like to. I hope I can pull something together. I saw a gum ball machine that looked so cute. Depends if I have the time/motivation over the next month!

I haven't had time to check in this week yet but I've got a 22 wk growth scan after I get off work. Anxious but optimistic because I felt the biggest kicks I've felt this whole pregnancy laying in bed last night.
@ThePax89 FX for a good appointment today with the midwife. Thinking about you today.
@awknyc Yep, because we have more blood flowing it can cause more bloody noses. If your house is dry or you are in a dry climate, you can probably look in to some nasal saline spray but check with your doctor first. A humidifier while you sleep may help a little too, just to keep your nasal passages moist. It can at least help prevent a little.
In regard to the being pregnant for almost a year, due to MMC, totally yes. I have a quilt I've been working on for a girl in my office. No rush she said. Well, I know it's been a while that I've had it, and I almost have it finished and she said "I was wondering if you had forgot" and I had to nicely explain, well, I've been pregnant three times in the last year, each with an exhausting first trimester and two losses, and this one, I was flat out fatigued the first 12 weeks, so I just haven't been on my game (or really giving a rat's butt about anything to tell the truth) and she was like Oh!
I know people don't know what all you go through personally, and I hate to use it as an excuse, but sometimes you are just too tired mentally and physically to give a flying crap.

I've been feeling pretty decent. Back is achy a lot even though my bump is just coming out (like today it just was there all the sudden). I've been getting lightheaded/dizzy quite a bit which is concerning - I am planning to talk to my doctor about it. The headaches are there most of the time, and the boobs have gotten sore again.
4. How are you feeling (anxiety wise)
It comes and goes. I THINK I'm FINALLY beginning to feel the little flutters. I think I will feel better when there are definite kicks. My one hour glucose test came back great (80) and my NST screen was negative. I still keep feeling like the shoe is going to drop - like I've had a pretty easy time so far, does that mean something bad is coming?
5. When is your next appointment?
Tomorrow! Just a monthly OB appointment, but I'm looking forward to that Doppler check. This is the first time my DH isn't going to be able to go - it's his second day at a new job, so I wasn't going to ask him to try to get out early.... But it makes me a little sad because he originally planned to be at ALL of the appointments
Then 10/8 for my next ultrasound with the MFM
Baby names .... DH and I have a name in mind but it's getting strange reactions from people. I'm looking for some feedback as to if there is something I'm missing.... DH just came up with it randomly sitting on the sofa one day - Twylla Kae (spelling TBD)... Thoughts? (No one responded when I asked in the names thread)
7. Anything else on your mind?
I've been MIA from here for a couple of weeks. I've been reading the updates, but things have been kind of crazy (mom is getting out of rehab and coming home Friday). She's hyper-emotional, and so it hasn't combined well with my hyper-emotional pregnant self as of late. She's a bit of a hoarder - to put it nicely - and so I've had to try and ransack/organize her room over the last few days (by myself)... And I haven't even STARTED on the baby's room. I feel so far behind on everything from work to home and am hoping that life will begin to normalize when she's home on Friday. I've been in a kind of negative head space for a while to say the least.
8. GTKY - are you planning a fun pregnant costume for Halloween?
I wish! We have no plans for Halloween, our neighborhood doesn't really have Trick-Or-Treaters, and my school doesn't really celebrate (Jr. High) so unless I take my nephew out then I probably won't do anything.
@ThePax89 Glad your cervix is A-ok! Hoping the test come back normal. Keep us updated.\
@SquirrelGiggles83 Hang in there lady, that sounds tough and even more so with pregnancy hormones.
AFM- I went to a non prenatal yoga class last night. I just made modifications as I needed BUT my belly (up high) hurt SO bad afterwards. I am pretty sure it is gas, poor food choices over the last few days and the yoga just compressed my intestines bit it still makes me freak the F#@K out! Baby is still kicking and I listened to her heartbeat this morning but I just want to feel "normal". Does the worrying ever stop?!?!???!!!!

Feeling some sporadic nerve pain up the back of my buttocks if I move just right. I guess that's sciatic pain.

Work rant: In my building there is a shared ladies bathroom near me that many people use. The lock broke last week, and until the new cylinder comes in, only a master key (which I happen to have), will open the temporary replacement lock. While people could go to a bathroom only slightly further away, certain ladies seem to get a kick out of asking me to unlock it for them multiple times a day. They think they should get a master key too, and since the administration said no to that, they'll "punish" me for having one by making me constantly (exaggeration) leave my desk to open it for them, complaining to me about the inconvenience every time. It is annoying and I am not at all involved in the decision about keys or in the lock maintenance process. I'm feeling pregnancy cranky on this one. Not really that big of a deal I know
7. Anything else on your mind?
Looking forward to slightly cooler weather and apple picking this weekend!
8. GTKY - are you planning a fun pregnant costume for Halloween?

@curlysue22 that's bs. I'd be PISSED
@ThePax89 I am not feeling any better and although I am pretty sure it is gas I am still going to call my midwife. Good to know about the locations of sensations... this is all so alien.
