UPDATED: I got an ultrasound today and there was a heartbeat. I'm still in disbelief and there are some unanswered questions, but I appear to still be pregnant! I can't believe it. My heart reaches out to all of you who have gone through pregnancy loss. AND I want to thank all of you for your support when we're not in the position to tell our friends & family about the pregnancy yet. I love the stranger love!

This evening I started had some bright red blood and it's coming pretty steadily.
The timing is also very bad because a big stressful thing happened in my family yesterday (when I was definitely feeling pregnancy symptoms) and when that subsided today a bit, the bleeding and cramping started with in an hour or two. I read about stress-induced miscarriage as a thing but I know in my heart that is extremely unlikely the cause, also with the timeline (I'd think it would take longer to have an impact.) Maybe it just sucks to have both things happening at the same time.
I called the practice I chose where I'm not even a patient yet but they are willing to have me in anyway to do all of the blood draws, etc to see this through.
Poor DH is really upset, more so than I am (though I'm sad, too!) But we are a great team. I'm more upset about the other stressor but that is also something we'll be tackling together as well.
I'll confirm later in the week one way or another, but you can consider this my initial goodbye. Best of luck to all of you ladies!
