Anyone else's leg(s) ache? Not cramps, but achy. Maybe RLS?
Oh yeah. Big time. For me it is definitely (self-diagnosed) RLS. Only happens at night/when resting. Massaging them, warm baths and stretching helps some.

Glad I'm not alone! I'm trying to figure out other ways to soothe them. Sleeping has been obnoxious and I'm kind of considering ordering a snoogle, even though it's probably too early for that.
This is my dog in his new favorite spot since I spend at least 10 min a day waiting for HPTs to turn. He keeps me company. Also, he's judging me I'm pretty sure.
Re constipation, I tend to get constipated regularly so when pregnant it gets worse. This time it didn't hit until close to week 7 but I'm sure it didn't come until later with my first.

For the record the constipation could be caused by your PNV, the extra iron can cause constipation, if it's really bothersome try gummi vitamins, they don't usually have iron in them, but remember that you do need iron! So lots of red meats and leafy greens if you're not taking iron.

For the record...I do know it is Monday but I thought of another stupid question. I have a dentist appointment this morning. Do I need to divulge my recent positive pregnancy test or only if they are doing X-rays? Any suggestions?
Re tests: I only took a digital with this pregnancy. Did you know that the answer disappears? I've never taken a digital before this. So now I'm forced to go buy more tests to have some record.
Re constipation: It usually starts later for me. Still somewhere in the 1st trimester though. Once it starts I take colace daily the whole pregnancy.
Re dentist: I don't think you need to tell if it's just for a cleaning but I also don't see the harm in telling.

@NurseK2016 yes let them know. I just went in two weeks ago and was due for x-rays but they will postpone them a year ( I'll still be pregnant at my next check up in 6months too). Also they will talk to you about how your gums might become more sensitive. Lots of pregnant women experience swollen and bleeding gums.
Question: I decided to join my gyms "challenge" group before I knew I was pregnant and since I already paid I'm going to use this to motivate me to continue to work out. I obviously am not going to be the biggest loser haha. I have asked, in my previous pregnancies, what I can do and my doctor has generally said just don't add anything new or major high impact. Every previous pregnancy due to complications I never was even able to start working out I had immediately been put on a "modified" bed rest.
This pregnancy I feel great so far and want to work out. I'm going to the doctors on Thursday, and I don't want to ask the nurses because I get varied answers every time I call and ask questions.
Is there anything that you ladies have been told is a big no no to do while working out?

I would. At the very least, tell them you've been trying so they can protect you accordingly. "I don't know, we've been trying"
@NotAPlaya-JustCrushAlot is right I forgot pregnant women are very susceptible to inflammation in the gums. The pregnancy hormones can affect our responses to plaque and raises the risk of tooth decay according to DR Google. But I remember my dentist saying this stuff as well.
Thanks for the advice everyone! I did tell my hygienist but I had to be quite about (my whole family sees the same dentist and my uncle & cousin happened to be right next door to us) haha what are the chances!? They did postpone X-rays so it was a good thing I told them
@Cubslove12 how long is the challenge? As you start showing your center of gravity will change so you will want to be careful with exercises that you need a good sense of balance for. Other than that, I wouldn't push heavy weights just keep things at a moderate weight that you can handle. And listen to your body. And I think you need to be careful with lunges and things like that as your ligaments loosen.
@flychick it was my first time with pregnancy tests in general and we did digital. The instructions say the result disappears after 24 hours so I took a picture of it.
I know I'm late to the party on this one... But my question is for those of you with cats. I know we aren't supposed to clean the cat box. But I can't help but wonder which is worse - Cleaning it quickly and washing up after or letting the 'deposits' sit in there all day and smelling the fumes. Any ideas?
@emilyalso, I have 3 cats and when pregnant with DD, I still scooped the litter a few times a week because MH does not do it enough and I couldn't stand smelling it (though the fumes don't cause any problems other than being particular foul to a first tri nose.) My ob at the time said that if I wanted, I could wear gloves but it probably wasn't necessary since I have indoor cats. According to the Humane Society website, "Only cats who ingest tissue cysts get infected (with toxoplasmosis.) Within the feline
population, this would be limited to outdoor cats who hunt and eat
rodents, as well as cats who are fed raw meat by their owners." Toxoplasmosis transmission from cats is incredibly rare, though I don't tell MH that so he will continue to scoop the litter boxes.
DH does our cat boxes. I told him that as long as I'm of childbearing age, it's just safer that way. I've used this excuse for the past 11 years, basically my cat's entire life. I highly recommend it.
I was told to also wear gloves while gardening because the cats use the dirt as a litter box. My neighbors and I all have indoor outdoor cats. The doctor didn't seem too concerned about me gardening as long as I was careful about it. I think a litter box would be similar. Gloves, don't touch the litter, wash hands. If you have to.
@emilyalso In addition to what the other ladies said... Toxoplasmosis takes at least 24 hours to become infectious in feces. If you clean the poop out of the litter box on a daily basis, it would be nearly impossible to get it. It's also more likely to get toxoplasmosis from gardening or eating unwashed veggies than it is from cleaning the litter. It's definitely a good excuse to make someone else do it, if you have that option. My husband dry heaves everytime he has to do it, and it takes him like 10 minutes to get through it. So, now I just do it again and feel very comfortable doing so after researching it. I use compostable poop bags and deposit them into a compost bin next to the litter box, and then empty it when it gets full. That way, it doesn't smell and I don't have to run the bags out to the end of our veeery long driveway everyday.
