We booked an awesome looking countryside boutique hotel/ "restaurant with rooms" called the Pig near Bath for a weekend next month (not surprisingly, it's near the city of Bath, which is gorgeous too). We're not renting a car so once we get there there's not going to be much to do besides walk around the grounds and relllaxxxx. And they offer prenatal massages (I obviously booked one)- CANNOT WAIT.
@hayhay87 I have been to the Pig! Just had lunch there, but the property was gorgeous and it looks like it would be sooo nice to stay for a weekend. The food was amazing too. I was visiting a friend in London last spring and really wanted to see some of the English countryside. It was an easy train ride there and then we walked to the hotel from the train station. Sounds like the perfect baby moon!
We are thinking about a low key, relaxing trip to Maine or Vermont in October. Our calendar is starting to fill up all of a sudden, though, so I think we need to commit soon if we're going to make it happen.
I am hoping to do a small weekend trip with the husband. We like to go camping, so we are thinking that might be the easiest thing to do, but I kind of was envisioning a hotel room involved but who knows. Its been so hard because we are trying to get our house baby ready and its hard when we are renovating the bedroom SLOWLY and living in what will be the nursery to stop for an entire weekend seems hard especially when we have so many interruptions already (family things, registering, etc.)

We are going to visit MIL in Vegas for Thanksgiving (fingers crossed my work schedule doesn't change). We'll obviously be taking DD but I'm sure Grammy won't mind keeping her for a night if we want to sneak away. A vacation's a vacation in my book!
We had booked a trip to Hawaii for next month before finding out we were pregnant. We ended up canceling that trip due to multiple reasons.
Now we are just headed to the Oregon coast for a long weekend. Definitely looking forward to the time with my husband--who typically works 6 days a week--at one of our favorite places. Also looking forward to the massage I have booked at our hotel
This is baby #2, but we're thinking about going to Vegas for a weekend in November. My husband loves Penn & Teller and we've been wanting to go to one of their shows. We may also do one of our favorites and spend the weekend in San Diego. We've kind of made that a Valentine's tradition the past three years. It started with our babymoon and we've kept it up. Although it probably won't happen this Valentine's Day. I can't see myself leaving my 1month old overnight.
I'm either working 6 days a week or on call but this coming weekend I'm actually free from both jobs and I'll be going back to Chicago with a car load of things to move to mom's. But on the relaxing side, I'M NOT GOING TO COOK FOR AN ENTIRE WEEKEND! WAHOO! I'm sure we'll have some mother/daughter day activites but seriously food excited.
We finally decided when we're going to do. Booked a cabin for a weekend by the lake. It's kind of a babymoon/anniversary/my birthday celebration. Lol. But it will be nice and simple.
In the process of making plans for a trip to Chicago for our anniversary/babymoon. Sounds like we are actually going to pull the plug and go to a Bears game which is awesome. We've talked about it for a long time and never wanted to shell out the money. I'll be about 28 weeks and we are planning on taking a shuttle that drops us off right at soldier field so my walking will be minimized. I think my hubby realized that it's going to be a few more years before we can go if we wait until this one is born so we might as well go now. We'll also get a good day of shopping in at Ikea the day before the game. The funniest part is that we were just going to go to one of the casino's around here (we aren't gamblers so the casino part isn't the draw as much as something to do) but the cost to stay the night was more than the hotel we like to stay at in the Chicagoland area.
