Hi everyone! I noticed the intro thread is gone, so I'll do my re-intro here. I was a regular on this board since September of last year, but I took a much-needed break over the summer. I'll probably not be posting too regularly because I don't want to get too obsessed, but you'll see me intermittently.
Month/Cycle: 13/14
CD: 14
WAYDTGKU: Temping, CM, BD EOD, will be doing bloodwork at 7dpo
R/R: So H was sick for a week and we didn't get too much BD in. I'm going to stay positive though because his SA wasn't great so maybe having that break allowed him to build up and give me some good sperm.
CS/Q: My temps have been confusing this cycle. They are way higher than my normal pre-O temps and it looks like I have a spike, but I still have EWCM. Also I took my temp later than usual this morning (by about 35 minutes) so that could partly account for the high temp. If I put in any more high temps I get solid CH on CD 12. Any thoughts?
GTKY: What kind of short term disability / maternity leave plans do you have through work or through private companies? (If any)
I am a contract worker right now, so if I still have the same job once/if I have a baby, I don't get any paid leave. I can take time off and still go back, though. H gets 6 weeks of paid paternity leave, so at least we have that. He also makes enough money that I don't need to be working, so we'll be fine. I am also working on a career change where I will hopefully get a full-time job with maternity leave, so we'll just see what happens.
Don't have a lot of time today but I'll try and come back later if I don't get to comment much!!
Month/Cycle: 9/8
CD: 24
WAYDTGKU: All the things
R/R: It is like my body needed to hear my rant yesterday to get itself in gear! I saw EWCM last night and this morning and I had a temp dip which I hope is all leading up to O! The only thing different about this month was a stopped B6 for a week or two because I forgot to refill the bag I carry around with me with all the vites. I also ran out of RRLT. I wonder if there is a link between not taking those two things and a delayed O...? More likely it is just my body being an a hole.
CS/Q:
GTKY: What kind of short term disability / maternity leave plans do you have through work or through private companies? (If any) I get three months "paid" leave. We have a short term disability policy where I believe we have to give that back to the company and they continue our regular pay through the entire three months. I can take more time but it would be unpaid. We don't have any private short term disability although we have considered getting it.
@Marley629 I think I should move to NJ that is amazing! @JulesD20431 Correct me if I am wrong but I think you can use FMU with CBD. I do but I know I can turn a test with FMU based on past trials. Otherwise, try to get fluids in early in the day so you can test with a 4 hr hold. @GrabberBlue2010 haaayyyy you know I had that same thought like maybe if I just quit everything that I would get KU by magic lol
**Warning: this got way outta hand and super long** Month/Cycle: 10/10
CD: 4
WAYDTGKU: vitamins, diet/lifestyle changes, hio eod once af leaves then ed through fw, etc
R/R: Thank you for the support on monday, ladies. I haven't really had time to get back on long enough to do tags and comments and whatnot, but I'm hopefully going to be doing that today.
Not BR (and possible TW: DS mentioned)
DH was pretty awesome last night (again) we've had so much going on with work and mine is beginning to edge on insanity. I can barely keep up with my job because of our new software which i may or may not be becoming a backup for our on site support (not IT, that would be DH ) plus they're considering consolidating our site with another who uses the same software (they're located in Michigan, no clue how that would work since I'm on the east coast) so my Michigan accounts payable counterpart and I are in a race to the finish to show who is more capable and therefore get a crap ton more work with most likely no increase in pay. Top that off with an exhausted 5 y/o who is trying to adjust to being in school for 8 hours a day and our crazy ex's........ I quit last night. I told DH I was over existence (not in any scary permanent way, just needed to not have to think or function for a bit) and he was amazing, got DS ready for and in bed, got ME ready for and in bed, gave me a foot rub and back rub and I passed out... at 8:30 lol I'm feeling much better today
CS/Q: waiting for AF to leave. I will say, TMI warning, AF is much more like it was years ago. Like, before I had DS. Before it was more..... fertile looking? deeper color, more tissue type substance, etc. (sorry lol) when I left my ex and moved back in with my parents, I went 5 months with no AF during all of our court stuff. Yes I should have realized, but life got in the way. It was kind of nice to not have to deal with it and everything else too. It came back that first time with a vengence (go figure after 5 months of nothing) but since has been very light. Almost withdrawal/breakthrough-like. This month is like before. So there's that lol it's making me hopeful that maybe my body is leveling out finally from all the stress from my divorce and DH's divorce and DSS custody, and **TW: MC mentioned** post-partum depression after my last MC. **TW over** so maybe I'll have some stalking needed soon
GTKY: What kind of short term disability / maternity leave plans do you have through work or through private companies? (If any) We have vacation time and short term disability (at 60% of our pay-rate....... boo) its awful. Our old company would let us share leave, because DH has enough for us to both be off for 6-8 weeks. Since we were sold, we are no longer able to share. which means I only have my 50-60 hours of leave to use for dr's appointments AND leave... if I ever get there lol. Maybe something good will come from this election in terms for paid leave.
If you made it to the end, here are some fresh baked cookies for you

I hope it calms down for your sleep's sake.
I've been MIA the last week. Sorry! I've been lurking and it seems like its been an interesting weekend on the boards! Where are these crazies coming from?!
Month/Cycle: 4/5
CD: 5
WAYDTGKU: PNV, Aspirin, Pre-Seed, all the sex, and attempting to exercise.
R/R: Rave: My brother is coming to visit and staying at my house and my cousin is getting married! Rant: My brother is visiting during FW and my cousin's wedding is 2 hours away on probable O day!
CS/Q: I had CD3 bloodworm done Monday. FSH, LH, and Prolactin all came back "normal". My last cycle (first one charting) was the first 27 day cycle I've had in over a year. Usually 21-26 days. and my LP was 13 days. MD wants me to chart more to see if its short LPs or early OV are what is causing my short cycles. So now I am playing the waiting game. (aka torture game)
GTKY: What kind of short term disability / maternity leave plans do you have through work or through private companies? (If any) - I am feeling extremely blessed to have a husband that wants me to stay home with our future kids until they are in school. He is already working hard to afford for that to happen. I will do the occasional per diem contract work for "fun/hobby money" if/when needed.

after my IUD now.
R/R: Rant - We have a staff retreat this weekend so as much
as I would like to look forward to my weekend – it will be spent with my work.
Ugh. Rave *TW* My 18 month old didn’t want to get out of our bed this morning

My work has short term disability that pays 60% of wages for
up to 12 weeks. We can also use any vacation/sick time we accrued. With my
first, my work was pretty awesome and just gave me the 12 weeks because we didn’t
have any short term disability – sounds like I won’t be so lucky this time
around. We are a small woman owned business so in the past they have been very
understanding and flexible. We are a BCORP so we are trying to push for more
benefits – hopefully they’ll arrive in time!
GeorgiaWife6912
awesomeeeeee maternity leave. Good luck with the DH tonight
LuLiLaEv Jelly of that maternity leave – I
hate that typically after you return from maternity leave and using your
vacation you can’t travel with your baby in the first year because all your
time is spent. It is the time you want to travel and see family!
@EL824 Hope to follow you
over to the TWW next week! Hold down the board for us.
@leekat14 and @daisy621 – so
sorry you are still here on the TTGP board L
CD: 14 I think? @felix08 you're not my cycle twin anymore so I feel lost! Also too lazy to open FF.
WAYDTGKU: HIO EOD, PNV, OPKs starting today,
R/R: I hate when H is on night shift. He wakes me up at 330 when he gets home which throws off my sleep and also my temp. This morning it was 530! Too late in the morning to go back to sleep. So I was up early and grumpy.
CS/Q: nope
GTKY: What kind of short term disability / maternity leave plans do you have through work or through private companies? (If any)
TBH, I can't even think about this right now. I started infertility testing this month and I'm just making sure I have enough sick leave to go to all my appointments. My doctor is a three hour round trip which means one 20 minute appointment requires a full day off of work. I don't care what my disability/maternity leave looks like as long as there's a happy reason I get to use it.

I'll take it one degree further to say that I've actually "felt" presences. @adirat - I don't even know when these temps will go back to normal... I definitely still feverish. Going to the doc today to get checked for strep. @delujm0 - UGH. - I've had mastitis twice. TERRIBLE. Honestly, it would make sense for me to be spotting right now and get my period around saturday so I'm just hoping to get back to work next cycle at this point. If so, I've avoided the whole TWW (Which for me is usually eight days or less) totally. So, there's that I guess....

Hi all! Newbie here!I have been lurking for 6+ months and am so excited to finally be on the TTC train!
Month/Cycle: 1/1
CD: 1ish (Waiting for AF, should come today or tomorrow)
WAYDTGKU: tracking AF, PNV, CM
R/R: My newly DH and I are leaving for our honeymoon on Friday and hoping to make a honeymoon baby. We have been together 6 years and are so excited to start a family. I am overly optimistic that it will happen as planned, but I also understand that this may be a long process ahead of us. I have been lurking for 6-8 months and am SHOCKED at how many unplanned pregnancies happen based on the odds of getting KU each month + all the preparation you need to create a sticky baby. I have been taking prenatals for over a year, tracking my period for 18 months, and I recently just learned about CM (I always wondered what that was about each month)
CS/Q: I see some people list green tea under WAYDTGKNU and I can't find anything (google) to suggest this helps for fertility. Does just drinking green tea help?! I happen to drink it on a daily basis so I would be thrilled to find out that it helps with TCC!
GTKY: What kind of short term disability / maternity leave plans do you have through work or through private companies? (If any) My company just switched to giving 6 weeks short term disability + 4 weeks off.

GTKY: What kind of short term disability / maternity leave plans do you have through work or through private companies? (If any) 6 weeks 67% paid leave vaginal delivery 8 weeks 67% paid vsection (I can supplement the other 1/3 with my extended illness time) and then 12 weeks fmla 0% paid
@britters314 I'm sorry to see that you find yourself needing to come back here but I'm glad that they're starting testing for you! Having answers and a game plan is much nicer than the unknown. Are you doing bloodwork at your OB or have you started seeing a RE? Also, CD12 looks promising with the CM and CP, but with the temp time difference I can't say for sure!
@busymommy23 thank you! I am not feeling very hopeful about it considering it's the first month, first try. My husband is though, but he also still has no idea how hard it is to get KU
@JulesD20431I feel your pain! My 6.5 mile commute took me 40 minutes this morning. Just a few weeks ago it was 20 minutes tops.
@Cait32I know how you feel. I'm on the west coast. By the time I can log in, it's usually 2-3 pages!
@adiratCaliforniahas all kinds of crazy labor laws and regulations. You'd be amazed at all the nuanced rules we have to abide by. But at least it's job security for those of us in HR :P
Month/Cycle: 4/3
CD: 31....... this sucks
WAYDTGKU: still temping.... and waiting for either a really late O or AF to show up
R/R: My brother in law has been doctoring the discount form from my work (I work for a hotel chain get and a really generous discount for myself and family & friends). I just got a call from another location saying that someone has been doctoring the discount forms with my name on them and then caused a problem at the hotel. Turns out my BIL doctored the form I gave him, changed the expiration date and changed his name and has been giving it out to his friends to use. I could lose my job for this! Not cool BIL!
CS/Q: nope
GTKY:
What kind of short term disability / maternity leave plans do you have
through work or through private companies? (If any) I get paid state disability and "baby bonding" (yay California!) Paid state disability is 4 weeks before baby is born, then 6-8 weeks after depending on c-section or not. Then 6 weeks of paid "baby bonding" time (there are some stipulations for eligibility). Both state paid disability & bb bonding is 65% of your income, however it's not taxed so you come out close to what you would have made. Then you get another 6 weeks of unpaid, job protected leave. My company just starting giving 2 weeks fully paid maternity leave, before it was nothing besides using up your vacation pay. So overall I get 16-18 weeks paid from the state, 22-24 total, then 2 more weeks. You can always use vacation and your 3 sick days as well during the 6 weeks unpaid, but you don't have to.

R/R: DS would not sit during story time at playgroup and the instructor asked us to leave. It was a mortifying experience.
CS/Q: So for those of you taking COQ10 why did you start? Is this something I should talk to my doc about? I want to have nice healthy eggs.
GTKY: What kind of short term disability / maternity leave plans do you have through work or through private companies? (If any) I'm really shocked by all the different plans you guys have! In Canada we get 12 months at 80% pay as long as we work at least 700 hours in a 52 week work year. Thanks Canada.
@busymommy23 I hate when people are fake nice- I would much prefer being left alone then fake sucked up to. I can't help you with your chart I barely understand my own lol my temps do the same thing, so I'm interested to see what others say.
@maebee87 My husband and I both take CoQ10. My mom recommended it and sent me some research about it improving egg and sperm quality. It's often recommended for heart health so I figured it couldn't hurt! Apparently you can get CoQ10 from food sources, but we don't really eat liver/organ meats or sardines so I figured a supplement was better for us.
@mokay19 I'm still with my OB at least for bloodwork and an HSG if I don't get KU this cycle. But anything we decide to do past that I'll switch to an RE. I already have some concerns doing this with my OB anyway. My husband did his SA there and they only tested count and motility, but not morphology. And I wasn't told to do CD3 bloodwork, only CD21 (aka 7dpo) bloodwork. I'm guessing that's because I ovulate every month so there aren't really issues with the beginning of my cycle? Idk.. Thanks for CS me, though!
@GiddyUp82 I sincerely hope you meant "bloodwork" and not "bloodworm", otherwise I'm going to geek out, haha! Sorry your cycle is being such a troll to you; hopefully it will get back in shape soon!
Month/Cycle: 3/3
CD: 7
WAYDTGKU: Temping, HIO, OPKs eventually
R/R: I get to see the family again today so I'm already counting down the hours until I'm off work!
CS/Q: Does anyone know if it is unusual/bad to have watery CM almost as soon as your period ends? Looking back at my charts I can see I normally start getting it around CD 8 or 10, but I had it as early as yesterday and again today so I feel like it's here to stay until I ovulate. It just seems excessive to have it for almost two weeks before I usually ovulate. I guess I'm just trying to see what others think.
GTKY: What kind of short term disability / maternity leave plans do you have through work or through private companies? (If any) I used to have a pretty good one until I got furloughed from my company, so now I don't have anything because my new job is just my boss and I. DH might get some things but I'm not entirely clear. I should probably check in on that.
Edit: Even though it may feel like 4 months of TTC, it's really only been 3.
@tripledaggerWed95976 I just read your story - that is so creepy! I was wondering if you live in an older (like 80's era) house/apartment? I heard similar knocking noises that would scare the crap out of me in our house until DH explained it was the water pipes. Ive paid close attention to the noises since then and it checks out. Maybe your spooky noise is something similar? It would certainly be better than the alternative...
What does WTO mean? Sorry, I searched the threads and couldn't figure it out.
I am not TTC yet (will start in January), but I am going to start tracking my cycles next month and I am hanging out on here to start learning things. So hopefully it is ok if I post (even though I don't have much relevant info).

GTKY: What kind of short term disability / maternity leave plans do you have through work or through private companies? (If any)
I am the Executive Director of two public schools. I am so ambivalent about this type of benefit. I would love to offer full paid maternity leave benefits, but education funding is very low and our budget could not afford it. However, I am proud to say when I took over, I did make sure to purchase a short term disability policy for the organization. So we have FMLA (12 weeks unpaid), but employees can also use short term disability (at no cost to them) to receive up to 6 weeks of pay at 60%. It's not a ton, but it's a start.
In the mean time it is HIGHLY recommended to lurk (read lots of stuff everyone posts) to get an idea/feel for the board and understand what is okay and what is not.
As a newer person to the community I can 100% say that it gives back what you give, and that as long as you are respectful you will have a great experience here.
@maebee87 that's such crap that they made you leave story time. Our story time allows kids to roam as long as they don't get into stuff. I would have been kicked out daily from Oct 2015 until about June 2016 if that was the case. Toddlers will be toddlers. I'm mad for you!

@linzrunz I know. It is not okay that I have to do these calculations on my own. And a 3 hour round trip to the doctor! Yikes. I thought my 2 hour round trip was bad.
@haylsbayls Where are you guys headed on your HM? Not to crush your dreams, but if you aren't even on CD1 yet and leave for your honeymoon on Friday, you likely won't be making a "honeymoon baby" (unless your honeymoon is super long or you ovulate super early). Green tea is supposed to increase your fertile CM.
@MrsDorkCharming Oh my gosh! I can't believe your BIL took advantage of your generosity like that. Hope everything works out okay at your job.
Thanks, everyone, for the well wishes for today's IUI. The procedure went fine, but H's sample wasn't great so I don't have high hopes.
@felix08 Hi! I should be ovulating on the last day of the honeymoon (the 30th) - we are headed to Thailand so I will be loading up on DEET to avoid bug bites! FX for your IUI!

@felix08 I talked to my boss and called the other hotel directly. They were able to check to see that I had not issued the discount for that person, so my job is safe, thank god. I'm just really upset with my POS BIL for putting me in this situation. He's just a not great person and I'm pretty sure he doesn't like me, so he doesn't care that he's screwing with my work. I had massive anxiety about not having a baby ever and what that could mean for my marriage and future that I was stressing terribly every cycle and stressing out my husband. When I imagined not getting pregnant and never having kids there was a blank hole and that is not something I'm used to. So I seriously thought about it. What would life look like without kids? I certainly wouldn't want to stay at my current job for the rest of my career, so what could I do instead? What could we do with the money we save? What interests could we pursue? Would my husband be able to live without kids? Would he resent me? After I had a melt down we seriously talked about all of this and mapped out what things would look like without a baby. Coming up with a plan B helped me stop stressing. Thing is, I don't think I want a baby as much as you do so my advice may be complete crap, but I do hope you come up with your own way to cope. Think positive, but plan ahead Creepy internet hugs.

No idea how I didn't feel it. I went inside to wake my hubby up and thankfully he was in a good mood show changing the tire. But still--not a great way to start the morning.

GTKY: What kind of short term disability / maternity leave plans do you have through work or through private companies? (If any). Im a teacher & I'm not sure about disability but I know we have to use our sick days we've accrued over the years. I think I have just over 8 weeks.
Re: WTO Wednesday 9/14
Month/Cycle: 13/14

Month/Cycle: 10/10

My work has short term disability that pays 60% of wages for up to 12 weeks. We can also use any vacation/sick time we accrued. With my first, my work was pretty awesome and just gave me the 12 weeks because we didn’t have any short term disability – sounds like I won’t be so lucky this time around. We are a small woman owned business so in the past they have been very understanding and flexible. We are a BCORP so we are trying to push for more benefits – hopefully they’ll arrive in time!
GeorgiaWife6912 awesomeeeeee maternity leave. Good luck with the DH tonight
Nelbetron I vote strutting counts.
LuLiLaEv Jelly of that maternity leave – I hate that typically after you return from maternity leave and using your vacation you can’t travel with your baby in the first year because all your time is spent. It is the time you want to travel and see family!
@EL824 Hope to follow you over to the TWW next week! Hold down the board for us.

@tripledaggerWed95976 - thanks. FWIW - I totally believe in ghosts.

CS/Q: nope
GTKY: What kind of short term disability / maternity leave plans do you have through work or through private companies?

(If any)
I used to have a pretty good one until I got furloughed from my company, so now I don't have anything because my new job is just my boss and I. DH might get some things but I'm not entirely clear. I should probably check in on that.
Edit: Even though it may feel like 4 months of TTC, it's really only been 3.

@bmo88 I recommend reading Izzas newbie guide: https://forums.thebump.com/discussion/12685680/the-ultimate-ttgp-guide-newbies-read-this-first/p1 )
as it will answer a lot of questions for you. Including what WTO (waiting to ovulate) means.

I'm just really upset with my POS BIL for putting me in this situation. He's just a not great person and I'm pretty sure he doesn't like me, so he doesn't care that he's screwing with my work.
