I was SO CAREFUL with DS to make sure I exposed him to all kinds of foods/spices when he started eating solids. And now.... his favorite food are mac and cheese, hot dogs, and donuts. I can't get him to touch the veggies he loved (hide them in sauces now), and if it's not ground beef he won't eat it.
Oh, unless he's at daycare, where he will eat pretty much anything.
Toddlers are the worst. (But the best. I love this age for many other reasons.)

guys, I actually accidentally punched myself in the boob this morning. #fail. In other news, it was finally cool enough to bust out my leather boots!! Bring on autumn!!
@datalover13 have you tried one of the brownie recipes that has spinach hiding in it? They're actually really good from an adult point of view, and I had a girlfriend to tricked her kids into eating spinach all the time with them! They had no idea!
@npaulie JEALOUSSSS about the boots (not the boob punch). I wanted to wear some so bad on Saturday night, but it was in the 90's that day, so I resisted. LOL!
We have been running full tilt for the last week. My H has a big international summit going on at work so every single night is something. I need some down time.

We went to Portland this past weekend to go to the Oregon zoo and my 2 yo slept with us in the bed. It made me think of the co-sleeping thread and this past weekend solidified my reasons for never wanting to share a bed with that kid. I had the worst sleep ever. He kept waking up and wanting to sleep on top of me. Then if he wasn't on top of me, I would wake up to his little toes being shoved in my ass crack or on my back. It was hell.
I respect the choice that some people have to responsibly co-sleep, but that's exactly how I imagine it would be for me, @kiyamurph. DH and I had to buy a king sized bed because we are both "starfish sleepers" and like to take up lots of space. No way in hell I'm adding a third person to that arrangement, no matter how small!
So someone accidentally emailed a personal question about their benefits to a distribution list that covers most employees at my company (about 14k people). Now everyone is replying all saying either "i don't know why I got this email" or "stop replying all".
I have about 300 emails from the last 5 minutes about this and its not slowing down....

Seriously the Reply all button needs to be banned!
I always wonder about those types of emails @RunBooRun...the people responding. Are they kidding? By the time they get the 10th one, they should realize something is going on. But then you get the straggler like an hour after everyone has finally stopped, responding "why am i getting this?!"
@DaniBanani16 and @peony2418 ugh, I couldn't survive in 90F heat anymore. The hottest it ever gets here is MAYBE 70 on a good day. Although I do miss actual summers.
I'm obsessed with countdowns. I currently have paper countdown chains strung around my bedroom windows... I pull one off every morning. Countdowns to gender ultrasound, countdown to baby viability, countdown to tri 3, countdown to due date...((then there is obviously Christmas countdown )) and my smallest countdown: 11days till march mamas are all in tri #2!

Box YES! The only way I can get my son to eat green vegetables is pureed and hidden in food. What are your tricks? I need to expand my repertoire! Mine are: - pureed greens mixed in spaghetti sauce - cheese sandwich with pureed peas on one side of the bread - smoothies with hidden greens - vanilla yogurt with pureed veggies mixed in

I'm ALL about countdowns and milestones. I love having things to look forward to! And when I learned that pregnancy was chock-full of them, I was like
For me, every ticker change is a milestone. It's like having a holiday every week!!

I am going to have to say something here about the cute image to start off the topic. 90 degree is not an acute angle .. Acute is 89 and below lol ... Sorry teacher

I think she knows. Its just a pun...a way to work in both right angles and the word acute.
It feels like classes just started and bam all three courses have tests in the next week wth... ugh. crap, I've been in lala land I guess. My 5th anniversary is this weekend, I kinda want my husband to just buy me fancy ice cream and give me a massage.
My little sister asked if I've had any cravings... I said that milkshakes have been a big one lately. She responded "oh, you must be having a boy, then. Because milkshakes bring all the boys to the yard." So we laughed and now I'm extra impatient to find out what this little nugget is, haha.
@datalover13 I have to hide veggies in the things I cook for my husband-the-picky-eater, so... I'm feeling pretty set for when I have to hide them for my kiddo.

The cold im catching is so cute, cant wait for the sneezing to last the next million weeks and reault in pregnancy snissing . Oh what fun that's going to be.
@longliveregina I do pretty much all that you do! He'll still eat some of the vegetable baby pouches, which is ridiculous, so I'll sneak those in too. And then make sure he's getting his multivitamin.

tomorrow i start my second trimester (whoa) and i'm as emotional and hormonal as ever. i cry so easily. we're having issues dry walling and painting our bathroom, which we gutted last month, and i'm so upset about it. it's stupid. i'm trying to put things into perspective (first world problems, anybody?) but i can't! just thinking about it makes me want to cry! ughhh

Hell no. Take the day off work and don't return til it's fixed! They owe you that!
Is it sad that I'm thinking of trying y'all's veggie hiding tricks on myself because pregnancy makes me want to avoid all vegetables? I swear I used to be a very healthy eater before getting knocked up...
So I don't know if I should post this here but I really need an answer on something. So TMI but last night me and DH were fooling around and all of a sudden I got this sharp pain on the left lower side of my abdomen, near my hip bone. We stopped right away and it was just aching a little bit so I went to bed. It's still bugging me today. I'm going to be 16 weeks on Thursday with twins and I just want to know if it's just a pulled muscle like I think it is or if I should call the doctors office? We have an appointment on Friday. It's the big ultrasound appointment when they check everything.

Nope!! Not sad--I've been happily doing it for DD and enjoying all her food too! The pregnancy food struggle is real!
@alexxapplepiee I'm definitely not a doctor so take what I have to say with a grain of salt... but that sounds like Round Ligament Pain to me. Very normal part of 2nd trimester pregnancy.
@alexxapplepiee - I would probably call. They may tell you it's nothing to worry about and not to come in, but I think it's better to let them know about something that is nothing than vice versa. (But I am a worrier......). Good luck! And I hope your ultrasound is amazing on Friday!!

@Finallyhismrs07 Yeah, I worry over everything right now. I'm gonna call and talk to the OB nurse. Her and I are gonna be best friends by the end of this lol
@alexxapplepiee Not gonna lie, it would totally freak me out in the middle of sex too, lol. I'm excited for you to have your scan on Friday! FX for nothing but good and happy news!!
