DH's friend had told him a diaper pail was a must, but I'm not sure.
I don't want to spend a fortune on special bags all the time and I'm not sure if I'm just being lazy by not taking out the diapers daily or it's a lifesaver in that you can wait 2-3 days and then take the whole load out or would it smell all the time?
Advice, tips, recommendations would be helpful. Thanks!
Re: Diaper pails - What do you think?
I think they are a waste of money. I have lots of friends who have used all of them (Genie, Dekor, Champ, etc). Every single friend has ended up using a regular can b/c eventually at some point in time the room started to smell (even though they emptied them often.)
We have a small garbage can in DS's room and it is lined with those scented garbage bags. We only put wet dipaers in it and the bag gets changed every night. Poopy diapers immediately go outside in the garbage can in the garage. Our room doesn't smell at all and its been 15 months
You can walk into many of my friend's nurseries and the rooms have that "dirty diaper" smell
Just my opinion......
With a faB 20% off coupon I got a diaper pail that has a loCk and step opener and will just use normal bags! ? Only wet in pail dirty right out to garage! I was a nanny forever and there is just no need! ?
