Thanks everyone for the tips on the PIO. I'm going to try getting the oil warmer before the injection tomorrow. Also thanks @LSatturo126 for that video, I emailed it to my DH. I had the nurse at my clinic draw circles on my butt so we would know where to do it, so I do think we're getting it in the right place, but it still hurts like hell. We walk every morning, so I get my shot at about 7:15am and then we walk for nearly 3 miles, so I know I'm moving enough too. It is usually later on in the day that the pain really sets in, usually later into the afternoon. I wonder if I should be icing it later on in the day or something!

@fatpony and others who weren't sure. Sea Glass is really just glass in the ocean that washes up with the shells The glass gets nice a frosty and soft because of the erosion from the waves and sand. Looking for sea glass is truly my happy place. If you want to see the coolest place google glass beach in Fort Bragg CA. Amazing place! I was at Bay Head Beach in NJ looking yesterday and we found some good ones!

@wifeinraleigh28 that is an excellent question and I don't know the answer haha. For my first transfer I felt like it was 16ish. They didn't seem concerned at all. It's just the post appointment crazies taking over. Am I the only one that gets these and second guesses everything from the appointment until they get the afternoon call? I feel like a lunatic sometimes haha.

Hey everyone. I'm in the waiting room at the hospital they just took my mom back for surgery. Thank you all for the well wishes. I'm not able to jot notes down with names so sorry if my comments are not specifically toward you. I'm sorry about your BFN some months are harder than others for me I feel your pain. I hope your still doing better and can jump right back in. The POI I heat up a gel heating pad draw the shot put it in the pad for a few to warm it up. I do my shots myself and hardly ever feel it. I massage the area for a few min. Then I tuck the heating pad in my waist of my pants and let it be there for a while. If it bothers me later in the day I put the heating pad back on. Last night was the first time I got blood. I did the test to see if I drew blood and got nothing but when I took out the shot I gushed blood. All I can think of is I just injected oil in my vein but nothing I van do now.... but maybe I just went through a vein. This is the first one I'm sore with still. GL today on your transfer!!!! Sticky vibes to you.

So after watching that video that @LSatturo126 posted I looked at my butt in the mirror and the nurse at my clinic definitely DID NOT draw my little circles in the right place. Not even close. I called a nurse I trust at my clinic and complained and she reassured me that they were drawn in the wrong place. I'm pissed, but talking to the trustworthy nurse helped ease my anger a bit. Here's hoping that I feel less pain now that I will be injecting into the RIGHT place moving forward. Ugh!!! I just don't have time for incompetent nurses!

@wifeinraleigh28 I can't believe she drew them in the wrong spots! That's crazy! I'm sure changing the area should help with your pain. Mine haven't been sore at all, DH warms the oil up by running it under warm water before hand, and then massages the area for about 3-5 minutes afterwards. Good luck!

@LSatturo126 Congrats! My first positive looked like that and then got darker and darker.
Went to the clinic this morning for a final check before the transfer tomorrow and lining is at 10.3 I think. There was a new ultrasound tech that they hired, so I did not get to see my RE who usually does all my scans herself. The tech could not tell me if everything was on track for tomorrow, so of course now I am worried and have to wait for the call later. Frustrated by the change, I was so spoiled by seeing my RE every visit!
In the interest of remaining as stress-free as possible during the TWW (and beyond), I ordered some aromatherapy oils. Never really used them before, but figured it can't hurt. I'm especially concerned about stress levels because I have an anxiety disorder fueled by a fear of vomiting. So, on paper, this whole getting pregnant thing is a horrible idea for me. But, my desire to have kids is stronger than my fear. So, here's hoping I can manage. I've gotten this far, right?

@LeFemmeViolette. Be very careful with the aromatherapy some can cause miscarriage... I'd research it pretty hard first. I sell Origami Owl and we have a new aromatics line I was curious if any of them would affect me and found out a lot of sents can do damage to IVF.

@BabyBuckWay My level was just over 5 and it is most likely not viable. My Re said they like to see the beta at least 50 9dp5dt. But they did say it could still go up which is why I have to go back tomorrow for a second blood test to make sure it dropped to 0. From what I understand full term pregnancy could def happen with a low starting beta, but the likelihood is lower than with a strong number. Sending positive thoughts your way that your number keeps growing.
AFM - I go in tomorrow night for the second beta. I have POAS so I know it isn't going up. Not sure when I will get to talk to an RE about restarting...hoping I learn more tomorrow.

@wifeinraleigh That’s what was hardest for me last time with the PIO. Your butt muscles don’t have time to recover before they get poked again. Mine also got really thickened and I got to where I wasn’t even sure where to poke anymore because it was all thickened. If I walked briskly or jogged, I really felt the soreness. Maybe your doctor will also prescribe the inserts so you can have a few days break in between pokes?

AFM transfer went well and back home. Took a nap in the car and then a little one in bed. Now chilling in the recliner watching some DVR. Blast was hatching and looked good! Now the TWW begins, ugh. I'm still debating if I want to take tomorrow and Wednesday off or just Wednesday to avoid a stressful situation. Plus on Wednesday I have to carry a lot into work by public transit and don't want to do that this soon after transfer.

so I talked to the nurse and they won't let me stop my meds till tomorrow. I have a very suspicious feeling that it was my progesterone that messed up my cycle. I didn't like the crinone from the start. I was good with the pios. I asked the nurse if they check my prog at beta and she said it was 6.76. She avoided answering if that was in range of what they look for. She said I need to ask the dr.
It's tough to find data on it...but you know I am searching for answers of why my 5ab beautiful embryo with apparently beautiful lining took, but didn't stick around. I know they all don't stick...but there's got to be a reason somewhere...
anyway, does anyone know what range they are looking for in an Fet?
@bells52000 two days after transfer my progesterone was 16 and she made me up my dose. She said they like it above 10 but cuz I put two in they were upping my doses to 1.5ml from 1ml. I had asked for crinone instead in the beginning. But they told me he only likes using PIO because he believes it has a higher success rate of them sticking. Def suggest that next time.

Thanks everyone for the tips on the PIO. I'm going to try getting the oil warmer before the injection tomorrow. Also thanks @LSatturo126 for that video, I emailed it to my DH. I had the nurse at my clinic draw circles on my butt so we would know where to do it, so I do think we're getting it in the right place, but it still hurts like hell. We walk every morning, so I get my shot at about 7:15am and then we walk for nearly 3 miles, so I know I'm moving enough too. It is usually later on in the day that the pain really sets in, usually later into the afternoon. I wonder if I should be icing it later on in the day or something!

I'm sorry about your BFN some months are harder than others for me I feel your pain. I hope your still doing better and can jump right back in.
The POI I heat up a gel heating pad draw the shot put it in the pad for a few to warm it up. I do my shots myself and hardly ever feel it. I massage the area for a few min. Then I tuck the heating pad in my waist of my pants and let it be there for a while. If it bothers me later in the day I put the heating pad back on.
Last night was the first time I got blood. I did the test to see if I drew blood and got nothing but when I took out the shot I gushed blood. All I can think of is I just injected oil in my vein but nothing I van do now.... but maybe I just went through a vein. This is the first one I'm sore with still.

So after watching that video that @LSatturo126 posted I looked at my butt in the mirror and the nurse at my clinic definitely DID NOT draw my little circles in the right place. Not even close. I called a nurse I trust at my clinic and complained and she reassured me that they were drawn in the wrong place. I'm pissed, but talking to the trustworthy nurse helped ease my anger a bit. Here's hoping that I feel less pain now that I will be injecting into the RIGHT place moving forward. Ugh!!! I just don't have time for incompetent nurses!

Went to the clinic this morning for a final check before the transfer tomorrow and lining is at 10.3 I think. There was a new ultrasound tech that they hired, so I did not get to see my RE who usually does all my scans herself. The tech could not tell me if everything was on track for tomorrow, so of course now I am worried and have to wait for the call later. Frustrated by the change, I was so spoiled by seeing my RE every visit!

@BabyBuckWay and @PurplePumpernickel I see that you both added yourselves to our tracker, but it seems like you both did fresh transfers? If so, this is actually a small group for those of us doing frozen transfers. The August/September IVF or September/October IVF threads are for those doing fresh!

@BabyBuckWay My level was just over 5 and it is most likely not viable. My Re said they like to see the beta at least 50 9dp5dt. But they did say it could still go up which is why I have to go back tomorrow for a second blood test to make sure it dropped to 0. From what I understand full term pregnancy could def happen with a low starting beta, but the likelihood is lower than with a strong number. Sending positive thoughts your way that your number keeps growing.
AFM - I go in tomorrow night for the second beta. I have POAS so I know it isn't going up. Not sure when I will get to talk to an RE about restarting...hoping I learn more tomorrow.

FET#1-Transferred Both Healthy Embryos on 9/6/16 BFP!! 9/15/16 Beta 22.3, 9/17/16 Beta 60.5 & 9/19/16 Beta 195! 1st US on 9/23/16, only 1 Gast Sac & Yolk Sac found, US 9/30/16 US 6wk 1day saw and heard Heartbeat 120bpm!! afm- I have an FET date set! I will transfer one embryo on 9/21. My lining today was at 8.4- at this time during my last FET it was 5.6 and I had to add on another patch. So, I'm happy with how things are going so far!

AFM transfer went well and back home. Took a nap in the car and then a little one in bed. Now chilling in the recliner watching some DVR. Blast was hatching and looked good! Now the TWW begins, ugh. I'm still debating if I want to take tomorrow and Wednesday off or just Wednesday to avoid a stressful situation. Plus on Wednesday I have to carry a lot into work by public transit and don't want to do that this soon after transfer.

It's tough to find data on it...but you know I am searching for answers of why my 5ab beautiful embryo with apparently beautiful lining took, but didn't stick around. I know they all don't stick...but there's got to be a reason somewhere...
anyway, does anyone know what range they are looking for in an Fet?
