I used to see these threads awhile back on this forum but haven't seen them in awhile and thought I would start one for the upcoming month. Anyone else doing an FET in September? The IVF threads can get pretty long and difficult to keep up with!
A little about me: This is our first IVF after 3 failed IUIs. MFI diagnosis and SA's have been all over the place over the course of the last year. I have never had a positive pregnancy test. Everything is in my siggy, but to summarize I had my egg retrieval in July and did a freeze all so we could do PGS testing (my RE's standard protocol). We ended up with 7 PGS normal embabies, 3 girls and 4 boys. We plan to transfer 1 girl embryo on September 16th! We are officially less than 3 weeks away now and I'm getting excited. I just started taking Estrace pills today! Trying to will my lining to get nice and thick

September FET Buddies!
Re: September FET Buddies!
i am on my second FET, First fresh transfer was BFN, first FET was CP so fx this one will be stickier, we plan on transfering our last two frosties. I would love twins, DH not so much but he is letting me take the lead on this. so for now just waiting on hopefully a short wait for insurance before we start estrace 3x daily.

Just like @wifeinraleigh28 my transfer is also September 16th. At the same clinic. Perhaps within the same 2hr period if I recall correctly? Crazy! : )
We'll be transferring one PGS-tested Day 5 BB embryo.
I'm nervous about it, though because despite 16 eggs retrieved, 9 fertilized, and 4 embryos biopsied and PGS tested, only ONE came back normal. We've used up nearly all the funds w/ DH's insurance, so I was pretty down when I heard we only had one good embryo.
However, between then and now I've done some research and found that if I switch to my insurance we should be able to do at least one more cycle- perhaps more if necessary. Knowing this has taken a lot of pressure off me and my uterus. Still hoping SO bad that this one takes, but I feel better with a backup plan, too.
I've said this in other threads, but September has always been a good month for us. We met in September, got married in September, and bought a house in September. Hopefully soon we can add "Conceived in September..." : )

@Elyse1384 Welcome! Is this your first FET? How long ago did you do your retrieval? I love what you said about joining the June BMB group! I think I'll be willing all of us to become new members of that group!!
@LeFemmeViolette I'm glad you have an option of switching insurances!! I think our FETs are only 30 minutes apart on the 16th, but I could be incorrect about that
@mjacks16 Welcome and I hope that this 2nd FET is the one for you!! I see from your siggy that you did PGS testing. FX for you!
AFM, I've been taking estrace 3x/day for a few days now and so far I don't feel any symptoms. Going on Friday for my first scan!

@Elyse1384 I haven't really had any side effects yet. Though, I've only been on estrace for a couple days now. I did feel really crabby yesterday, but that could have just been exterior irritants.

I'm jumping in here! I'll be doing my second FET *hopefully* on 09/12. FX that my lining responds to the switch in protocol.
@Elyse1384, I started my meds (patch and estrace vaginally) on Friday and felt "off" all weekend, just extra tired, slight headache, and almost like I do right before I get the flu, kind of achy and just not feeling the best. I read that it can be a side effect of the patches, so hopefully that means it's working!
@bells52000 - the first time I took medrol, I thought I ingested poison lol
afm, lining ultrasound scheduled for Wednesday (31st). Then we'll see where we go from there.
@mtpbadger FX for thick, thick lining this time around!! When do you go in for a check?

@mtpbadger - I'm sorry you're feeling cruddy too, but good to know I'm not alone! I'm 2 for 2 with this feeling from what I assume could be the meds.
@bells52000 good luck with your fast approaching FET!!
*tw* prior pregnancies mentioned
After 3 years of trying, we had luck with our first IVF cycle in 2013. I had ER in June '13 and did a fresh cycle at that time. I did my first FET from our leftover embryos in Feb '15. The embryo from that cycle and this upcoming cycle are from that June '13 ER batch. FX for all on FET this month!
Me: 1, possibly 2, blocked tubes

Started stims 7/21/16, ER 8/2 --> 17 eggs, 5 blasts after PGS testing.
Fresh transfer 8/8/16: Chemical Pregnancy
FET #1 9/13: PGS tested 5AA, BFN
Endometrial biopsy 10/18/16: normal result
ERA test 10/18/16: "receptive" result
FET #2 1/3/17: natural cycle, BFP!!! TWINS!! EDD: 9/21 (8/31 with twin adjustment)
Lining check will be 9/7 - I'm trying not to think about it and just go with the flow this round. I have to say this patch is MUCH better than the del estrogen injections so far. I'm really liking this no shots thing so far although I would be very happy to start PIO on the 7th per my schedule!
The pio shots aren't that bad. I already am bruised up, but so far so good. Excited to be part of this mini board! oh! And I can see your pic Fatpony but I don't mind stuff like that.

I've been taking my horse-pill-sized prenatal with applesauce. It seems to help get it down. Hopefully that will help with the Medrol taste too...

@wifeinraleigh28 - Yes, #3! It took 3 years, but we seem to have found the "secret sauce" for how my body responds. We transferred 2 with the fresh cycle in June '13. One took (a DS) and then the following year we transferred 1 embryo from the frozen batch (a DD). We have been very VERY blessed. At this point I can't complain no matter the outcome. I'll take what I can, but I'm really pulling for all of you! I know it is so easy to get frustrated and down on yourself (I was in that horrible spot for 3 years wondering if we would have LOs), but you are all stronger than you realize and you can do this. Sometimes it comes in ways you might not expected.
That said, here is to a group trip to J17 BMB!!!!! We got this ladies. I have heard from more than one person at my specialist's office that FETs can be just what our bodies need compared to those crazy stim protocols for ER. I hope this ends up being the case for all here. Lets go little frosties.

Hi ladies! I hope you'll allow me to join the group! I'll hopefully be doing my first FET in September, my cycle got cancelled last month due to a thin lining that would not budge over 6.5!
I did a fresh IVF in April 2014 and now have a 19 month old daughter!
Just finished my provera so hoping AF shows soon so I can start my new protocol, with patches. Hoping to hear exciting news from you all in the coming weeks!!
September is my favourite month, so I am determined to enjoy it, BFP or not
Ive started on oral estrace and will be starting on PIO and also progesterone suppositories pretty soon. I just received all my meds in the mail- those PIO needles are terrifying!!!

anyways.... welcome also welcome to everyone else, hope all of the recent CPs means we are on our way to the real thing
Had to go to a baby shower/luncheon for a co-worker today. I'd ducked out of enough of them that I felt like I had to finally go to one. It went okay. But then we also had a consultant come in for some training at work today and at one point he just casually mentioned how he had five kids. I think I actually rolled my eyes. Hopefully no one saw. But really... FIVE??? Good lord.
I'm also struggling with this stupid insurance dilemma. Since we only got one embryo out of my retrieval, I want to have a real plan in place in case it doesn't stick. We've exhausted DH's insurance with the first round of IVF so I've called my company's insurance AND our doctor's financial dept to find out exactly what's covered and I CANNOT seem to get a straight answer.
In an interesting turn of events, I actually ran into the gal who is the head of HR for my company at my clinic so we've been sharing our stories. She's given me some info about our insurance already, but I'm thinking about asking her to hop on a call with me with our clinic to find out how our company's plan stacks up. Hopefully she'll be on board.

@bells5200 only one more day! Will you test at all before your beta?
Anyone else getting their butt kicked by their meds? I am just SO exhausted since staring estrogen patches. With the other meds I've been on, I'm usually a little bit more tired but I am just completely wiped! I am not a napper and I've found myself taking a little cat nap when I get home from work before starting dinner.
