R/R: I've been waking up at 5 am most days the last couple week or so. It's so annoying. I was happy to see this thread was started.

**TW** I was active last winter. Jumping back in to this group after a BFP and late first trimester loss in May. My body is finally ready to get pregnant, even if I'm not sure I'm ready emotionally. We weren't even sure we'd try this month, but we had unprotected sex and I ovulated the next day, sending me to the TWW.

CS/Q: I had a temp drop to the coverline today which is unusual for me at 4DPO. I also had terrible migraines last week right before and after ovulation. Anyone else get migraines around ovulation?

GTKY: What is your favorite ice cream flavor? Chocolate peanut butter or cookies and creme. Depends on this day!

R/R: Slight dip in temp this morning, less than 0.08 but a dip none the less. Now I'm just over here waiting it out. I will say normally by now I've been spotting for 1 or 2 days. Trying to see the postive in the longer LP.

CS/Q: Does anyone else sleep like crap during the TWW? I don't know if it's being anxious for the new temp or what. I am a champion sleeper, but from DPO 9+, I just can't get it done.

GTKY: What is your favorite ice cream flavor? Oh man ice cream is my thannnng. I don't like a lot of flash with my IC. I consider myself more of a purist. I'll go with the tried and true Mint Chocolate Chip. Howerever it must be green. None of that white nonsense. And generally I enjoy PB sauce (preferably Friendly's) and hot fudge on it. But I wouldn't turn down a really good Cookies and Cream or an evenly distributed Chocolate PB. I may have put too much thought into this question...

R/R: Hoping I'm not just BSC but also trying not to get my hopes up too high in case I get a BFN when I test. It seems the things that I'm seeing right now lean a bit more towards being KU but at the same time could still all be normal for the TWW, I guess I'll have just have to wait and see

CS/Q: I feel like I have a million but I'll try to keep it down to just a few.
1) Does anyone experience EWCM during the TWW? I got some yesterday afternoon but didn't put it in my chart (just in the notes) because if I do, FF takes away the CH.
2) Would you still recommend using FMU for a dollar store test at 12-14 DPO or should I be good to test in the middle of the day?

GTKY: What is your favorite ice cream flavor? It used to be Pierre's ice cream sandwich flavored ice cream until they stopped making it. Now, probably mint chocolate chip!

Hey Guys,

Is the dollar store the same as family dollar and dollar tree? I only have the latter two. I read reviews of the internet cheapies I bought (True Stick) and apparently all the positive reviews came from people who got the product for free (dumb: I should have read reviews first). I still have a First Response, but I didn't want to blow that and have it be nothing, so I'm looking for cheap (but reliable) tests, and I'll test again tomorrow (14DPO) if there's no temp drop.

@berg Last cycle I slept horrible during the TWW and I think it was because I was so anxious in general. For some reason I'm sleeping a lot better this cycle. Same GTKY answer! And I totally agree with you, it has to be green or it doesn't taste quite right!

@lulu1180 I've been KU twice and both times I turned my first test at 10/11DPO. I would take more wondfos the next 3 days in the afternoon and they would all turn. I would say that by 13/14 DPO FMU probably won't matter for most tests. 12 DPO could be possibly be pushing it.

ETA EWCM is not unusual during the TWW. That's so weird that FF is taking CH away. I tend to have creamy CM during the LP, but had EWCM last cycle.

Testing: tested for drinking purposes yesterday. I'll prob test tomorrow or Wednesday because I've had a 12 day LP the first two cycles.

R/R: ugh. I think AF is on her way. Had slight cramping last night and again this morning. Starting to get sore boobs too. I had really high hopes for this cycle. Like @berg, had a slight temp dip this morning, about 0.10. Still way above cover live but not a promising sign

CS/Q: does anyone else like to pee on opks just so they see a second line on something? No? Just me?

GTKY: What is your favorite ice cream flavor?
I usually go with cookie dough or coffee. However, the best ice cream ice had was Swiss Orange Chip in San Fran and peanut butter cup in Hawaii.

CS/Q: Do you use a thermometer cover on your BBT or not, since you're probably the only one using it? Do you just wash it off once in a while/every day?

GTKY: What is your favorite ice cream flavor? For sure Coffee of any sort. Currently we have Espresso Chip in our freezer. But I do love mint chocolate chip, or something with dough in it...like cookie dough, cheesecake, or brownie batter.

CS/Q: Has anyone done cycles of clomid & IUI? That is the next step for me, and I'm worried about how I will be emotionally. I'm a pretty sensitive person & quite emotional, and I'm afraid I'll be all over the place. DH is not too compassionate, so I'm worried of the strain on our relationship. Any input is appreciated.

GTKY: What is your favorite ice cream flavor? Mmmm Ice cream. Probably chocolate chip cookie dough, or anything with lots of chocolate/brownie/cookie dough bites.

@berg I always sleep poorly (and have vivid dreams) during the TWW. And anxiety is much higher in general. Yet another thing to blame on the progesterone!

@lulu1180 I always get EWCM during the TWW. FF gave me some dashed CH because of it, which I'm not going to lie annoys me and made me say unsavory things towards the app as if it could hear me.

@Khrun17as long as I'm no the only one! I thought about not temping during the TWW to ease it a tad. But then the competive person in me can't. I need to win and have ALL the temps, no matter how low they are. I have issues.

everyone seems to have their own preference...

Wondos are typically cheapest but I never seem to turn them. The CB digital advanced is nice but can be a little confusing as it has a memory and if you don't start using it at the right time in your cycle it may never give you a positive.

i have been using both the Walgreens brand tests and also the clear blue digital (NOT the advanced). It all gets pricey so I would suggest starting out with wondfos and see what they do for you before moving on to the more expensive stuff.

@mrsegan13 Dollar Store tests have two kinds, a purple New Choice test, and a pink Assurance. Don't ever buy the pink Assurance. It is not sensitive. The purple New Choice however showed me lines before my wondfos did!! It's my new favorite. And we would never recommend testing with anything but FMU during the TWW. But sometimes it happens, after at least 3 hours holding and not drinking water (much).

Testing: At this point, I highly doubt I'm KU. I'm really more anxious about getting my first AF after BC.

R/R: DH dropped his phone this weekend, and it's costing us $150 to replace it. Otherwise it was a really nice weekend, so I'm a little bummed that it ended on a low note.

CS/Q: What are your typical PMS symptoms? I feel like I don't have any and it makes me wonder, "Did I really ovulate?" Technically, I *should* be getting my period in about a week. Boobs are NOT sore like so many woman have. Chest is breaking out a bit, but I struggle with acne. I've been crying a lot more over stupid things, but I think I'm just stressed. Since it's my first month temping, I'm having a lot of trouble trusting the numbers. I wonder about little things like waking up before the alarm, feeling really tired/chilled last week (never had a fever), etc. and worry this could've artificially inflated my temps. Still though, they've been either 0.5 to 1 degree higher than my pre-O temps.

GTKY: What is your favorite ice cream flavor? Chocolate fudge brownie! Or really anything chocolate.

@NurseK2016 I feel ya - we're on month 1 and that crazy part of me thought getting KU would be so easy. We had rough timing but I still keep peeing on things to see! Although, I'm really early, so I keep peeing so I know if I can have a glass of wine. I probably drink too often, but knowing that (hopefully) I'll have to hold off for 9 months makes it ok... right? Also, for what it's worth, I bought some Wondfo OPKs off Amazon this week. Can't recommend them because I haven't used them, but they're cheap and everyone here likes them

I worked at an ice cream shop in high school and my favorite was a vanilla ice cream with Caramel ripple and chocolate covered heath bar pieces. Yummmm... Is it too early for ice cream??

@CallaLily25 I don't always have a ton of pre AF symptoms but typically at least have cramps the day or so before, but my DH says I've been really moody lately so maybe thats my symptom too and I just don't notice

@lulu1180 sometimes I get EWCM during the TWW. as @chloe97 said if testing before 14dpo its best to use FMU but at 14dpo and beyond most women should turn a test any time of day even without a hold (as long as they are actually pregnant!)

@khrun17 I love that you had oreos for breakfast! it sounds like something I would do, and the reason I dont keep oreos in the house!

@callalily25 PMS signs can be very variable. For me they are different every cycle. some times I have sore boobs but I can go for months or years with out that, bloating, cramps... it all depends on the cycle. Just because you dont have a lot of PMS signs does not mean your not ovulating.

@chloe97 I’m so sorry for your loss

@jenshoes – First of all, is it Jen Shoes or Jens Hoes? I need to know this. I took clomid earlier this cycle with no obviously side effects except that it delayed ovulation (I took it CD 6-10 for insurance clomid challenge). Everyone responds differently and I was worried it might make me overly emotional or throw me off but I didn’t experience anything like that. I think you want to assume it will be fine rather than stress out about what might happen. If you start to feel ‘off’ then remember it is probably the meds.

My next cycle (assuming I’m not KU) I will take clomid CD 3-7 and then do an IUI the day after I get my LH surge. I’m nervous but I have heard some success stories on this strategy that are giving me hope.

@nurseK2016 I use wondfos and CB digital (not advanced). Last month was the first time I turned anything and it was very clear on both the wondfo and CB OPK’s. The CB digital advanced also looks for estrogen levels and that throws me off since more often than not I have high estrogen levels.

@callalily25 My PMS symptoms are different every time.

@chloe97, I'm so sorry for your loss. Welcome and I hope your stay here is short!. I tend to get migraines around ovulation as well. Ovulation and right before my period. I don't think that temp drops are significant if you're only 4dpo, at least I hope not because I had one today at 6dpo.
@KhRun17, I use a cover on mine, more out of habit than anything else
@CallaLily25, most of the time I don't get any PMS symptoms except for being more prone to my migraines. I only occasionally get cramps or sore boobs

I looooove half baked by Ben and jerry's. My husband read an article that said full fat ice cream can increase fertility so he's been all about some ice cream lately.

@Jenshoes before we started treatment my husband a I had a long talk about how hormones might affect my attitude. I stopped taking hormonal bcp because it made me a lunatic early in our relationship. We made a pact that he would have more patience and I would try to remember that my emotions are being effected by hormones. It's definitely not fun but it is worth it.

@tamalahoops I don't know where your husband heard that but I kind of hate you for posting it since I'm now going to use it as an excuse to BINGE on ice cream (not that I really needed an excuse but, you know).

Month/Cycle: 1/1

CD/DPO: 24/7

Timing: Timing sucked, I was out of town without H for -3, -2, -1, 0 and didn't see him until the evening of +1. So we got -4 and +1 but depending on when exactly I O'd (didn't temp this month) there's a slim to nonexistent chance we timed it right.

Testing: Almost did this morning but held back. Trying to wait until Friday but I'm betting I won't make it past Wednesday without trying.

R/R: I work in a job where everyone works 70+ hours a week including weekends. There isn't an expectation for that much work per se, there's just so much to do its almost impossible to get everything done without working crazy hours. I was working 15 hour days 6 days a week through August, but lately I've said "screw it" and am refusing to work on the weekend. I'm not keeping up with everything I need to do, but I've reached a very zen place where I don't care - I am comfortable prioritizing family and happiness over work.

I wish we could take another 7 months of HIO and hoping for the best. Our cycles aren't over yet so there is still hope. Let's focus on that!

Happy to go to FL for my aunt's wedding and to spend time with my family, but I really didn't think I'd O on CD13 (unless my cheapie OPK is full of crap)...... at least being out of town will hopefully take my mind off of it. I've certainly been competing in the SS olympics the last few days. Oh, and effing Zika. I'm going to drown myself in deet.

Testing: not yet, I'll probably hold off this cycle since between my stress level and our not so fabulous timing, it's looking like this cycle was a miss.

R/R: we moved on Saturday, and everything went very smoothly so that was nice. I am already loving our new neighborhood. Two neighbors have dropped by to say hi and bring cookies/veggies from their gardens so that has been awesome!! I think they probably wonder what a couple with no kids is doing in a family neighborhood with a 4br house, but hey, we're working on it people! Not that I've spread that bit of TMI yet.

CS/Q: nope.

GTKY: What is your favorite ice cream flavor? Ohhhhh, tough. Choc chip cookie dough, coffee, mint choc chip, strawberry. I love them all. If I could only have one flavor for the rest of my life though, I think I have to go with strawberry.

@CallaLily25 my symptoms were ALLLLLL over the place when I went off BC. Super irritable, weepy, acne, and every other thing possible (including no symptoms at all). When I was on BC I rarely got any PMS symptoms at all.

@ShadeofGreen816 we're about to install an invisible fence. I feel bad because our dog is 9, and this will be his first invisible fence. How did you acclimate your dog to it?

Testing: trying to hold off until at least 12dpo

R/R: DH is gone all week ****TW, kid talk****and DS has gymnastics, swimming, and soccer this week. I mean I did this on purpose to make the time go faster for him, knowing DH will be gone all week, home for the weekend and gone all week again. But I also have to find time to clean the house, change sheets on the guest bed and get ready for people staying at the house and tailgating all by myself. Oh ya and take care of the 2 dogs.

GTKY: What is your favorite ice cream flavor? That's a hard one.....I would have to say.... Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough but in the fall Pumpkin Pie all the time!!!

@zwink1, Isn't it a huge sigh of relief when a move goes smoothly?! DH and I bought our first house a year ago and we moved into a very "family" neighborhood. I swear whenever we go somewhere, someone in the community asks if we have kids. UGH!

Month/Cycle: 3/3 TTCAL

CD/DPO: 27/13

Timing: -4, -2, 0

Testing: I forgot to use FMU so used about 3rd MU only when I noticed I had a temp rise instead of a temp nosedive like last cycle on 13dpo, but alas still BFN and surely just a bummer temp messing with my head lol

R/R: heading off to the hospital soon to see what's near my abdominal scar. A little nervous but also curious. Will update if anyone cares lol At least I'll be healed up by next FW.
Speaking of which, RANT: DH has been having trouble performing/finishing lately and it's incredinly frustrating. I'm not even in the mood but I've been trying to "take care of him" before he goes OOT. I thought it would be better since he quit smoking but so far it's been worse, but who knows if it's related. Anyone else have a DH that takes forever/can't do quickies/has trouble finishing? It's way more upsetting during FW but ya it's difficult and I have to work hard not to blame myself/worry

CS/Q: no I'm sure it's all over lol

GTKY: What is your favorite ice cream flavor?
salted caramel anything lol Other than that, I like ice cream that has "stuff" in it...plain old ice cream is boring to me haha

@LuND we are lucky because my dog is a huge weenie so one shock about did it. I'm a wimp too so I actually now just keep it on the setting where the collar just beeps and that's enough for him. We have a portable invisible fence which is nice - if you haven't already ordered the "normal" kind I would look into it! But typically they give you some training instructions on how to gently introduce the dog to it. It takes some work at the beginning but if they take to it, it's so nice!!
