  • What do you do for a living?
    I am a school counselor on a K-5 campus
Where did you go to school?
The University of Tennessee for both grad and undergrad (I was also at the historic game last night where 159,000 people attended our college football game....it was nuts!)
If you could do anything else, what would it be?
I worked retail while I was in college. I was an assistant at Ann Taylor, and I absolutely loved it. If retail was more family-friendly, I would rather do that!

  • My undergrad is totally different than my grad, so I know the feeling of indecisiveness!!!
  • @TNChick I was watching that game! You guys are looking good. Not gonna lie, I'm worried for when they play the gators!

  • @Mariposas925 thats all ive ever wanted to do as well. Our high school did superlatives and I was most likely tobe a stay at home mom.. I went to school to be an interior designer but knew I wanted to move back to my hometown and since its a small town, anyone I knew who did that ended up just working at a furniture store, so I switched majors amd became an elementary teacher. I taught 2nd in public and then 4th at a Christian school before having my daughter. Now I stay home and cant wait to (fingers crossed) have two home with me!
If I could have any job, once my kiddos go to school maybe, I would LOVE to go back and be an ultrasound tech. Id want to work for an OB,  but im not sure id want to go back to school so im thinking maybe I could do something at my towns pregnancy center. Otherwise id love to own a coffee shop
:p two very different things, I know lol
  • I work for the airlines

    University Of Utah

I would work in health and fitness if I ever left

I work for the government in quality review.

I went to Rockhurst University for business.

I love the flexibility and security my job provides. I don't see myself going any where. However, if money and pension weren't a concern I'd love to be a full time fitness instructor. I've taught Zumba fitness since 2007 and am licensed in WERQ and Fierce4, and have my group certification. I just don't have the time with my full time job and family to prep for several classes a week.

WERQ is absolutely my favorite. I go to at least 3 classes a week!

It is about time! We have been waiting 10 years to stop the embarrassment. I wouldn't get too worried though, our offensive coordinator is still abysmal.
  • Before DS came along, I worked as a pharmacy technician.

    I graduated from Auburn University.

If I could pick a career (and skip the going back to school part) I would want to work in a funeral home. (Sounds crazy...but somebody's got to want to do it.)

What do you do for a living? I am a school psychologist for a public school district.  I also do individual counseling for children at a clinic two nights a week.
Where did you go to school (If you did)?  I went to Assumption College for both my bachelors and masters for counseling psychology.  I then went to UMass Boston to get my Ed.S in school psychology
If you could do anything else for a career, what would it be?  I love the stability of my job.  However, if I could I would love to own a bakery : )
I looked into an Ed.S in school psychology when I was looking at getting my Ed.S, but it looked like way more work than I was willing to do at the time. Also, with only one per district, I was concerned that a job would be too hard to come by. Our's infuriates me very often though (she basically only does testing for sp.ed. services and she looooooves to deny), and I have always thought I would like to oust her :p

What do you do for a living?
    I'm a college professor

Where did you go to school (If you did)?
One of my schools was Michigan, which is here in my picture. For now I'm going to decline answering the rest of this question (as a professor I have multiple degrees) because I want to remain slightly anonymous.

If you could do anything else for a career, what would it be?
Lucky for me I'm in the right career and have a hard time imagining doing something else. I could do work for the government, though, or a private company, but I'd miss teaching. On the flip side, I could be a high school teacher, but I'd miss research and the more advanced / specialized course teaching that you can do in college. If I were to do something complete different, I could fill my time with my art (I'm being vague again about what type of art it is.) I am good enough to make some money doing this because I already do sometimes, but I doubt that I am good enough -- even if working on it full-time -- to make enough money to cover anything more than the expenses I incur in doing the art.

  • @TNChick  It is a lot of work but it's worth it!  I love it.  I used to work for the Department of Youth Services (aka juvie or kiddie jail).  It really made me appreciate working in a school.  I'm sure if you go back to school now some of your grad school would overlap.  I was lucky enough to get all the mental health classes waived since I had  a masters in it already.

School Psych is booming I hear.  Everyone gets a job that graduated from the program.  One per district is tough though.  We have a lot but we are spread thin. I'm responsible for 2 schools as well as some of the out of district kiddos.

  • I am a labor and delivery nurse and I love it. I went to a small Lutheran college.  I can't imagine doing anything else but I do toy around with the dream of working for Brigham Women and Children's. Maybe some day :). Oh and one day I would love to open a coffee shop!

  • I'm a SAHM but before DD I worked at Target in human resources.

I got my BS in biomedical photographic communications at RIT and while my degree is badass, the job field is way too small for my liking unless I want to do ophthalmoc photography. That unfortunately turned out to be not my cup of tea.

I have always loved working in an office setting with some interaction. Im hoping to get back into that again eventually when the kiddos are old enough to go to school full time. Record management or something similar appeals to me

  • What do you do for a living? I'm an interim office manager for a vacation rental company until I get fully certified and then I will be a real estate drone pilot.
Where did you go to school (If you did)? The New York Conservatory for the Dramatic Arts and Butte College.
If you could do anything else for a career, what would it be?  I'm also a doula. I'd love to do that more full time if it were possible.  But, it's not, and I love my career.

I’m a modern man, a man for the millennium. Digital and smoke free. A diversified multi-cultural, post-modern deconstruction that is anatomically and ecologically incorrect. I’ve been up linked and downloaded, I’ve been inputted and outsourced, I know the upside of downsizing, I know the downside of upgrading. I’m a high-tech low-life. A cutting edge, state-of-the-art bi-coastal multi-tasker and I can give you a gigabyte in a nanosecond! I’m new wave, but I’m old school and my inner child is outward bound. I’m a hot-wired, heat seeking, warm-hearted cool customer, voice activated and bio-degradable. I interface with my database, my database is in cyberspace, so I’m interactive, I’m hyperactive and from time to time I’m radioactive.

  • I'm an in-house attorney at a tech company. I went to a state school in the Midwest. I love my job. But prior to in-house life, when I worked at a law firm, I dreamed of opening my own coffee shop. Maybe we should start at Bump Moms of May '17 franchise?

  • I'm a reading specialist and thirty-one consultant, but I'm a SAHM for this season of life. I occasionally tutor on the side, but thirty-one and the kids keep me busy!
i went to Eastern Nazarene College for my undergrad and Boston University for my master's.
I love where I'm at in life right now... I am not sure if I can think of anything I'd rather do. I think in the future being in charge of my own business, like an independent tutoring/literacy clinic would be really Amazing.

  • I'm an airline pilot.

I went to undergrad at the University of Arizona and I studied archaeology.

If I could do anything, I'd be a SAHM. I wish I could take just a few years off but I'd never get back to where I'm at now, career-wise.

I'm a middle school science teacher

I did my undergrad and grad work at MIZZOU!!!

I would love it if I could be a SAHM, but that's not in the cards for us unfortunately... But I do love teaching! I can't imagine doing anything else. Now if I could get paid to travel, THAT would be amazing! Or if I was an incredible pastry chef! I love to bake... And eat!

  • I'm a critical care nurse. Transferred to post anesthesia care from intensive care when my son was born 13 months ago. I was able to start there upon returning from maternity leave.

For my first degree in biology, I went to both University of California, Santa Barbara & University of California, Davis. I thought I wanted to be a doctor but switched it up when my dad was in the ICU. I saw what the nurses did and wanted to do that instead. So I got my second degree in nursing at Samuel Merritt University.

I'd love to be a SAHM and that might work out soon... And just do per diem to keep my license. If time and money weren't an issue, I'd be a Neuro surgeon!

  • I work as an accountant for a nonprofit organization.

I went to the University of Missouri Kansas City for undergrad and I went to Avila University for my masters and then I just recently finished the CPA exam back in March.

If I could do anything else it would be owning an event space.
  • I specialize in Latin/Ancient Rome and Ancient Greek material (language, literature, history, etc). My degrees are from UChicago and Berkeley.

I work in a number of alt-ac projects. My field isn't doing so great jobs-wise so I'm happy to be employed in my specialty!
  • @flychick If you don't me asking, who do you fly for?
@Redpuma119 I work for American Eagle. What do you do for the airlines? It would be really awkward if you're my boss. :)

  • I am a SAHM. Before this, I worked as a claims manager at an insurance company.

Went to the local university in my hometown.

Being a SAHM has always been my dream job. If I had to do anything else, I would love to be in fitness.

  • I manage a buying team for an ecommerce company (mostly shoes, some apparel).

I went to school at Colorado State University for Apparel and Merchandising.

I think about changing careers often, but it seems that I have come to far down this path to make a switch that makes sense financially. If finances were not a question, I would want to open my own business. Either becoming a small business consultant or opening a yarn store/coffee shop.

TresGatos--I'm in Buying and have spent the last 10 years in the field...the pay gets better as your career progresses, but the work life balance really blows. For an industry so heavily penetrated by women, it's incredible how inflexible it is. And big cities are definitely best, but there are some buying offices in more suburban spots, too!

  • What do you do for a living?
    I am a massage therapist
Where did you go to school (If you did)?
I went to a local private school for massage
If you could do anything else for a career, what would it be?
After baby comes I would love to be a SAHM
  • @flychick Definitely not your boss! Haha I work for Delta in the training facility. (For FA's)
  • @lageorgiapaperie What sort of YouTube do you do? I watch a lot of makeup tutorials on there, which seems pretty popular.

What do you do for a living?   --I'm a financial advisor

Where did you go to school (If you did)?   --James Madison University

If you could do anything else for a career, what would it be?   --I'm not really sure, TBH. I used to want to be a novelist, but I can't actually ever write a complete book, only pieces. So I'd be a huge failure!
