  • @lynnlove28 tell me your ways!!! I need DD to sleep like that.

  • Win: I don't want to jinx it, but LO has slept great the last few nights... I feel so much more rested.  She's also pretty much put herself on a schedule, which is super helpful, as it makes things much more predictable.

Fail:  last week I had something scheduled almost everyday, and it forced me to get out and about.  I felt guilty for taking LO so many places so I haven't been doing much this week...  The result has been me watching way too much Netflix and sitting on the couch and now I just feel lazy.  I think I need to find a reason to get out of the house tomorrow.
  • @LWC1112 we broke down and just let her cry it out. She slept great in her crib but when we transitioned her to the toddler bed earlier this year sleep was terrible. We had to lay down with her until she was asleep enough for us to sneak out of her room and then she would always end up in our bed normally around 2am.

We decided that she needed to start putting herself to slee again so one night at bedtime we laid her down and every time she would get up and come crying at her door banging on it. It probably took 45 minutes of her crying and us laying her back down but she finally went to sleep. It only took that one night though, sometimes she still fusses a little but not long. I was honestly expecting it to get worse once baby got here but it's actually made things better.

I am a firm believer in cry it out. Especially now that she's older and knows that she can cry to get what she wants. Not everyone agrees with it but it's worked for us!
  • @KMeredith82 I do the same thing!! Yesterday was unexpected a busier day. Had to run around to find a new day care. So our little hr trip out to my OB turned into a 6 HR trip. We just snuggled all afternoon once we got home. I felt so bad he was in his car seat for so long. (I did stop to feed him and change his diaper though several times)

  • I'm so confused on what day it is and have been all week. I hate holiday weeks. I missed my chiro appt thinking it was tomorrow. Whoops
  • @Stephanie7693 i did the sane thing yesterday!  The chiropractor called and i had to apologize for forgetting to come lol ;)
  • Win: Went to the mall to let DD play in the play area and since my grandma was with us she held LO so I could spend some much needed quality time with DD. She's been so good and so patient with having to share me with LO it was nice to take an hour or so to play somewhere fun just with her. Then we got home and I got LO to take a nap all on his own (he's great at falling asleep at night but his naps have been only happening if he's being held the past few days).

Fail: We stayed out later than DDs usual nap time and now she's decided not to take a nap at all. She's played in her crib for an hour now. She'll be a mess by the time DH gets home.
  • Mom fail: DD still takes a pacifier to school for naps and we forgot to pack it today. Apparently she couldn't get to sleep without it and read quietly with the teacher while everyone else napped. Tonight could be a total disaster.

  • @allishally13 Oh my goodness I might cry.  That is the sweetest thing that I've ever heard.
  • @allishally13. I just teared up in the bruges bagels, that is beautiful.
