FI got "the feeling". And started to micro-panic, and asked me if he should get us a bag packed. Last time we both got the feeling on the same day, we had Jimmy. Good thing I haven't gotten it yet!

I posted this on FB, but I started having BH like crazy Wednesday night, 7 1/2 minutes apart. Of course DH went into full on panic mode running around throwing stuff in our hospital bag. I knew it was false labor because they kept getting close together and then further apart again but it was pretty scary because it went on for 3 hours or so before I was able to fall asleep. DH and I both have a feeling baby will come early considering how much BH I've been having.
Holy cow, @mkc388, that's as real as it gets. Good luck in surgery! Let us know that all is well. (I suppose you can tell your family first, but we're second.)

@mkc3888 Ugh! The suspense is killing me! And I disapprove of them pushing it back because now you have to go that much longer without food or water and that's just no good at all.

guys, if your fluid is dropping does that mean the babys coming sooner than later? bc mine was 5.9 today at the MFM and they want me back in a week...and he told me to pack...mild freak out.
@mrszoess If your fluid is dropping consistently and they feel as though the levels are getting too low, they will typically induce, so I think it's safe to say yes.
This may be a dumb question, but how do they know if your fluid is dropping? Do they look more into it if you're measuring behind or something? I'm not getting ultrasounds, just fundal height measurements.

@ibabyloveb87 i'm higher-risk, so I get weekly ultrasounds during which they measure amniotic fluid. I'm not sure exactly how it works for low-risk, but I think they usually assume everything is fine unless you're leaking fluids. The nurse usually asks me every appointment if I've had any discharge or leaking. If you say yes, they'd probably send you for an ultrasound to measure.
@ibabyloveb87 I'm not getting regular ultrasounds either but my OB said they will do one next appointment (I'll be 36 weeks) to check the baby's positioning and make sure everything is looking good. Maybe you could request ths?
@mrszoess my fluid was 6.3 yesterday. They sent me on to get it checked today and it was 3.6 and they decided to deliver because of low fluid. So if I were you, I'd pack that bag!
