Re: Why my pregnant self is crying - September 2016

  • Loading the player...
  • Tried to watch the first episode of Wentworth. Tears! Nope nope, I need to just switch to disney movies already.

Wait, those make you cry too.
  • @OrangeEv- first epi of this season? Or first epi of the series??
  • @serenaxo84 early pregnancy I tried watching P.S. I Love You (which I've seen a hundred times) holy crap did I bawl so hard I woke hubby out of a deep sleep.

Tears haven't actually started flowing yet but they're on the brim as its getting so hard to walk and move in general, but it's uncomfortable to sit for too long too - then I think can have really up to another 7 weeks of this and that's when I start to lose it.

  • @Laurapcos I have 7 weeks left too and I am not sure how my hips are going to handle it! I keep thinking though about how busy September is and how it *should* fly by...hopefully.

I don't remember being in this much pain with DS...but I was also in better shape and active throughout my pregnancy.

The rest is pretty mild, as far as tears go. Until you get to the end of last season and this season. Then, tears, so many tears. Lol

eta- my point: keep watching! It's an amazing show! But be prepared for later! Haha
  • My ribs just hurt so badly. Like excruciating pain.
Warning No formatter is installed for the format bbhtml
  • Finally told FI today that i am terrified of him getting stuck at work when i go int o labor. Terrified he won't be in the room with me. In all reality, its not likely to happen that  way. The tears started then everything for the rest of the day has made me squall.
  • @bnsmith85 Okay, you've convinced me to try the second episode!
  • Because I just want a solid amount of sleep, got some a few days ago, and it hasn't happened again since ;(

Is it like insomnia or discomfort?

You know, I was sleeping without issue this whole pregnancy and didn't see why or how it could get hard to sleep.
And then all of a sudden It is so difficult to get a good sleeping position! I've avoided using a body pillow but I really think that's what I need at this point.
  • @OrangeEv A little bit of everything really. I can't get my brain to settle down and let me fall asleep, when I finally DO it's like a half-sleep with weird dreams that I wake easily from, I get up to pee, I get heartburn, I can't get comfortable, I get thirsty, there is just always SOMETHING. #pitypartyforoneplease
  • I had a complete break down to FI the other night. Like full on hysterics crying. Over being scared, terrified, not ready. What if I die during labor? What if my baby doesn't love me? What if I suck at being a mom. It was bad.
  • I was reading the article/photos about how strong women are during labour and I broke down crying thinking I can't do it.

  • because  they were playing a Grey's Anatomy marathon on Lifetime last night and I watched the epi where they realize that the John Doe who got hit by a bus saving a girl is George... and Izzy just had brain surgery and you end the epi not knowing if they saved her when she crashed after..... so at the end of they epi, they're both in the elevator Izzy took to go see Denny in her prom dress. GAH! I'm tearing up just thinking about it!
  • @bnsmith85 Ahhh that episode made me cry when I wasn't pregnant!

exactly! @ibabyloveb87 ... imagine the pregnant waterworks lol
  • FI sent me an article about how a town in SC dropped insecticide to kill off potential Zika carrying mosquitoes, and it massacred the honey bee population... wiped them out... and the bee keepers are so devastated ;(

What?? What town was that? That makes me so sad too, and I live here.
  • Been tearing up about every hour or so since yesterday. Doc informed me at my bi-weekly appt that with all my combined signs and symptoms , she thinks I have preeclampsia. Doing the 24 hour urinalysis today (fun stuff) and trying really hard to calm myself down and not freak the F out, but how does one NOT panic when faced with that type of news?
  • Started crying in my office after reading the original posts behind this article:  https://www.thebump.com/news/emotions-moms-feel-having-another-baby-viral-photo
I know we'll be leaving my son with my brother when we go to the hospital, but I hadn't thought about it as saying goodbye to my son as our only child before we become a family of 4.

  • @AllyTheKid what idiots. That makes me sad.
  • @sjo_thetwins As if we weren't already having enough of a bee crisis as it is =/
  • @bluemommy I hope everything is okay and it was just a fluke.

and to all the momma's who've posted about going early- you're in my thoughts!

  • 1.  Because yday DH told me about a work conference he is booking flights for... and it's on Nov 1 ("sweetie, i'm booking them but probably canceling it anyway"......but but but baby will only be like weeks old.....)

    2.  Because I stepped on a scale this morning and saw how much weight I gained.
  • @annabenanna My DH has to go on an overnight work trip November 1-2. I feel you. I'm hoping my mom can come but if not I might have to ask my MIL. I don't want to assume I'll be good to go by that point with a 3 week old.

And you look fabulous. Don't look at the scale!

  • @ibabyloveb87, you know how it is, it's just a number---but you can't help obsess over it!  aaack!  and yes, I guess we shall commiserate on nov 1-2.  :(:(:(
  • I straight up ugly-cried watching that video of Jessie Graff kick some ass on American Ninja Warrior ... I SMH at myself.
  • @annabenanna I've stopped looking. I don't want to know anymore. Last I checked, I have gained just shy of 40lbs... I don't want to see me actually hit (or pass) that number.
  • Because our friend cancelled dinner this weekend.
Because my daughter wanted to go back inside the house before I was ready

  • Because I spent 4 hours cramped up on the road in a tiny sports car, now my back, legs, hips, butt, and belly are killing me.
