Hey ya'll, I am new here but hope to be joining you in a Oct. IVF cycle. It will be my first, I am super nervous and when I get nervous I organize! I noticed someone in a previous month put together a google document so we could all continue to track our status and everything as we move through the process. Would anyone be interested in particpating? I can post it here, or maybe OP could edit the original post and add it so we could all access? We could even compare protocols, etc....
Just tell me if I am being overeager I have been really active on the TTGP boards and now it's time to start being active here as well!
ETA! I see people mentioned it above! See below for new tracker spreadsheet, let me know if it works or if we should edit or change anything. I am really new to google docs!
The original post you made to start this thread! If you just go back to page one, you should see a little edit button in the top right corner of the original post you made. You can just add the link in to your original post so everyone can reference it in the future instead of having to move through all of the thread pages, especially when it starts to get long.

@Hoping4Success I wish I had an answer to your question! I am sorry, I don't have any experiences to share! Definitely call your doctor! I am sure they can answer you.
I am sure you are busy, but whenever you want to try to add this link, you can. Go back to the first page up to your original post, click the top right edit button and add the following:

YAY! thanks @Zoey1019 I added my info. I love the tracker and I like that you added a protocol column. @Hoping4Success I have basically bled at different time throughout all of my different protocols and my RE has never been that concerned, sometimes they changed some meds, but it was never a dealbreaker.

Hey yes i got a word from my re office my ivf nurse said it should cause a problem but if i want to i can double my dose for a couple of day to stop the bleeding but its only not something i should worry about she said it wont effect anything she will call me later to talk to me about it and send my caladar wowhoh
Hi everyone! After a cyst removal in the early spring, my RE gave my husband and I a few months of trying again "on our own" (we'd been TTC for 2.5 years at that point). No luck, so here we are on round 1 of IVF.
I started with gonal and have moved onto gonal AND menopur. The shots aren't even the bad part, it's the side effects that are throwing me for a loop. I didn't expect the fatigue, constant headache, and waves of nausea until we conceived!
Our egg retrieval will be some time next week, I believe.
Thanks for the link about avocados! Of course I read it while reading an Oreo. But functionality at work is requiring some desperate, unhealthy measures right now.
@PurplePumpernickel ACK - just getting ready to start my stims and i'm already not looking forward to fatigue...I also tend to sweat all the time. Sometimes Oreo therapy is the only thing that works!

I'mnowhere near starting stims yet, so I'm not quite sure of the actual/daily dosages, but a couple months ago my doctor had ordered my meds (when we thought the PGD test probe was almost complete but turns out it wasn't...boo!) so I saw the list of them on the patient portal. I'll be taking:
Follistim 900 iu pen x3 Menopur 75 iu x10 Cetrotide .25mg x7 HCG trigger (We have to do a FET so she didn't bother to yet order the estrace or PIO/suppositories/etc...)
Anyone who have already done a cycle or two have similar amounts, and how did it break down by day?
I have been off for awhile, as I needed a break from all things IF after my 3rd failed IUI.
I am now onto IVF cycle #1 (and only one). We are completely out of pocket, so that should explain that... so hopefully #1 sticks or that I have eggs left over to freeze.
I started Lupron today and will begin Follistim and Menopur on Friday. If things progress, I will have my ER the week of 9.12. Looking at all the meds yesterday put me into a mini panic. I would list everything I will be doing to see where you ladies are at, but I don't have it in front of me right now. But I can say I am doing Microflare regimen.
A little background - I have been doing acupuncture 2xweek, been taking CoQ10 (ubiquinol), Acai Berry, Pre-natal, Vitamin D, Chinese herbs, DHEA since January and it has paid off. My AMH was .27 last December. In May, it went up to 1.3, in June it was at 1.47 and this past blood draw came back at 2.3. So, all that I have been doing has actually helped my AMH and FSH.
Best of luck to everyone! Excited to follow everyone's journey.
Howdy! I've been posting on the Aug/Sept board, but it's looking like my retrieval will be the last week of Sept and I'm not sure many people will be left over there come then!
This is our first IVF cycle. We have unexplained IF and did 2 unsuccessful IUIs last spring. We're doing a long lupron protocol with no BCPs (due to a previous blood clots & pulmonary embolism). I had my injection teaching and ultrasound today. Ultrasound showed 39 total follicles and 1 cyst - which they think should go away with my next period, but I'll have to go in for a check before starting stims. Starting Lupron on Friday!!

Zoey1019- Thanks for making the spreadsheet! Hoping your first IVF starts off smoothly! When do you get started? @PurplePumpernickel - that is so exciting that your ER is already next week! Hope you are getting good follies from the stimming! @kristencas- So happy you get can started right away again. I really hope this protocol is the magic one for you! Can't wait to hear how it goes.. i will be thinking of you! caseyw8784- I also started with 3 900s of follistim. I think the daily doses really depend on your situation (how many follies at baseline, etc). My RE has us come in after the first 3 days, and then every 2 days after, and adjusts as needed. Joslynj11- Thanks for the support! I was really hoping the IUI would work too, but hopeful that a new protocol can still work for us for IVF. I really hope that third time is the charm for you!! I noticed in your siggy that 4 embryos didnt survive the thaw.. did they give you any reason why? That just seems like a really high amount! Are they changing anything different with the protocol? It seems like you were able to get a good amount of eggs and embryos, so hopefully you will have the same or better response this time! It looks like we may be on a similar schedule with end of Sept, so I will definitely be cheering you on! Jsmorrissey- welcome! I also have low AMH/DOR, so I found it very interesting how you have been able to improve it! I am doing everything you are except the acai berry, chinese herbs and DHEA. I am going to ask my RE about DHEA because I have read mixed things, but also that it can be good for DOR. Glad to see you are on the microflare protocol. I tried the Antagonist protocol in August with BCP for 2 weeks and we ended up cancelling since we couldn't get a good response after the BCP. It was devastating, so I really hope that doesn't happen to anyone else! Hope the stims go good and you have good growth! Monica54321- Nice to see another familiar face, though I wish neither of us were here! Your follie count sounds amazing- I'm jealous I think you will have great odds if you get that many eggs! Glad you are getting started after having to wait so long!
AFM- just waiting to hear back from the nurse about what my final protocol will be. Still likely 4 weeks away from starting stims, so just trying not to stress about it all too much. I did find out today that I have only used $630 out of my life time max of $15k for infertility and I am beyond thrilled. I know some coworkers who have gotten many rounds covered in the $15k since apparently they only count the actual IUI/IVF procedures and not the meds/monitoring (which have already been thousands for the IUIs and cancelled IVF), but I didn't really believe it would come through like that. Given my low reserve and likely low amount of eggs/embryos I will get, this gives me hope that eventually with enough rounds I could have a biologicial child (as I was starting to lose hope lately after the cancellation). Once I get through this all, I really want to get involved in Resolve and try to get laws changed since it should be RIGHT to have infertility coverage.

@JamieH2000 - Thanks for the welcome! Nice to a familiar face round these parts. My insurance is the same way! I knew I only had $15k in infertility coverage for transfer procedures... but I didn't realize that the meds, ultrasounds, blood draws, ect wouldn't count towards that! It was such an amazing surprise!

@monica54321- I know!! I kept thinking they must be doing something wrong since the way my policy reads is that meds and all the appointments should go against it! Glad yours is the same way! IF is hard enough and I just absolutely think everyone health plan should have coverage. IL has a great state mandate. I would love to get something like that passed in WI (and all states of course!)

@JamieH2000 hello! I don't have a start date yet. We go in next Friday to sign the paperwork and move forward from there. All my testing is mostly done...but I honestly have no idea how this all starts, or when they start you. Our issue is MFI, apparently my bloodwork looks promising for stimulation...don't know what that means either Look forward to getting to know you!

@kirstencas - YAY! I have felt ok today, but I am more worried about how I will feel come Friday. I have read your what happened your last attempt and I hope that this is your cycle! Since, this is my first IVF cycle, I feel pretty anxious, actually, like almost crabby about it. Hang in there and I will be following closely since we are on the same schedule (and protocol)
@JamieH2000-(I am also Jamie ) My RE put me on DHEA in Jan because of the DOR. I really believe it has been one of the major factors in bringing my AMH up as well as the acupuncture. I have never had an issue with the DHEA, but like you said there are different reviews on it. Every RE is different and obviously good at what they do, but it may not hurt to ask.
@zoey1019- thanks for creating the spreadsheet. Hopefully I was able to add my info correctly Can't wait to see what the next couple months bring.
@monica54321- this is my first IVF round as well. GL!!!!!
I must say how glad I am to see how many people have insurance helping them. I just thought they were all against helping (like my insurance company). It makes me happy to know that that some policies will help cover IF, even if it is only partial.
Zoey1019 - MFI is a "good" diagnosis for IVF since they can easily solve it with ICSI and its promising you have good numbers! Hope you can get started quickly after all the paperwork. We may end up being on a similar timing since I'm at least 4 weeks out still!
Jsmorrissey - always love seeing another Jamie thanks for the info, its definitely something to consider! I will be interested in how the microflare goes for you since we have similar situations. I really hope its 1 round and done for you!!
caseyw8784 - That would be great to be cycle buddies. I love the big groups here since we get to know so many great ladies, but its also nice to have others at the same point as you so we can ask questions, etc. The waiting game is brutal though, and I am looking forward to getting started. Going to try to enjoy myself this weekend with some camping and drinks, and then will likely get back on my no alcohol/low carb diet to get my body as healthy as possible before stims and ER.

@JamieH2000 Unfortunately my Dr was just telling during our follow up appointment that at the end of the day my overall embryo quality is not what he wants next cycle. I knew something was up with our little embabies while we were waiting to transfer but to keep my mind in a positive place I didn't want to ask about them too much He told me they would call to see if they were going to be able to refreeze later in the day on the day of transfer but when I never heard I knew they didn't make it. I am praying that this round we can get some really really sticky fighters to grow!! I am going to focus on my diet on eating more avocado, fish, and egg promoting foods from now til ER. Oh and I love that you mentioned information about Resolve and trying to be more active in the fight for IF. I started looking into them and I really like the cause and will definately be doing more to see how I can be active in my community!

Hi Ladies!
I am going to join this thread as well.
It's good to be back with peeps that understand.

Your follie count sounds amazing- I'm jealous

@JamieH2000-(I am also Jamie
) My RE put me on DHEA in Jan because of the DOR.
Hopefully I was able to add my info correctly
Can't wait to see what the next couple months bring.

Jsmorrissey - always love seeing another Jamie
thanks for the info, its definitely something to consider!
