  • @sjo_thetwins I'm glad you at least know what to expect and have a plan from here. I cant imagine how you are feeling about the surgery, but I'm sure she is tough will do great!

Major sh!t got real moment, @sjo_thetwins!!!
I'm so glad that they have identified the issue and that it's a relatively easy fix!

I had major, and I mean major, pelvic pain on Saturday. Of COURSE it happened while we were at a party and DH was drunk so I had to drive home. I almost never drive, so I don't know if this has happened to anyone else, but lifting my foot to switch between gas and brake was excruciating. I had my fist in my mouth screaming while merging onto the Autobahn. The Autobahn in our area doesn't have a speed limit so cars were flying by at over 100 mph. Thank goodness traffic was light because I could have easily crashed. Since then it's been better , more like a constant dull pain.

Wait, I forgot the sweating. I literally (yes, the true definition of literally) drip sweat all day. I shower twice a day and change my underwear at least three times a day but I am always wet. SO GROSS!

  • @sjo_thetwins Glad they could identify the issue and get a plan in place.  Sending a baby to surgery is scary, but  she's in capable hands and soon it'll be a distant memory and you'll be home snuggled up with your girls!  3.5 weeks!  We're really in the home stretch now!
  • @sjo_thetwins oh my goodness!! I'm sorry to hear that Carlisle will need surgery but I'm glad it's something that they can somewhat easily take care of and nothing more serious. How exciting you'll have your girls in your arms soon!!

  • @sjo_thetwins fx for a smooth delivery!!! and fx for Carlisle (I loooove her name, and breathe, I know its hard for us to do when stuff gets thrown at us while pregnant but she will be in good hands)
  • Definitely a shit is real moment @sjo_thetwins ! I'm strangely excited to see their cute faces and also worried with you about the impending surgery. But, like others have said, I'm sure everything is going to be just fine and I'm glad you have a little bit of time to let it sink in before meeting the girls! hugs!

I apologized to the dermatologist this afternoon for sweating all over her. I'm sure she sees far sweatier people than me, but I felt really gross. Luckily she's had kids so she gets it!

  • @sjo_thetwins Just catching up- thinking of you and your girls. I'm sorry Carlisle has to have surgery, but I'm sure it will help knowing about it ahead of time so you can mentally prepare. And holy crap! 2 weeks?! Can't wait to see those sweet little faces!
  • Shortness of breath is definitely getting worse, I can barely recline on the recliner, so no more power naps for me

Sleep still sucks due to a combination of insomnia, tailbone pain and sciatica pain. I'm sooo tired, all the time!!! Baby jebus help me, 7 more weeks

@sjo_thetwins Just reading your update. I'll be thinking of you and your family in the coming weeks. Sweet Carlisle will handle this like a champ, no doubt. Did they talk to you about her recovery time at all?

Love to you and those sweet girls!

  • Thinking of you, your wife and your girls @sjo_thetwins !! So scary, but at least you have answers and a solid plan in place...hard to believe you could meet your little ladies in just a couple weeks!! They're already fighters, just like their mama, and they're going to both be fine! Will be shooting care bear tummy thoughts & prayers your way though!! :)
  • my fupa is so itchy. wtf can I do???? I feel like a monkey scratching all day
  • @mrszoess Is it itchy because your skin is stretching or is it itchy because of moisture/sweat?  Maybe lotion for the former, baby powder for the latter?
  • @sjo_thetwins I'll be thinking of you. That sounds scary, and I'm hoping the surgery and recovery goes as smooth as possible. I can't wait to see their sweet faces!!

Is random pelvic pressure normal at 31 weeks? I've been having it occasionally the past couple of days, based on my position and I'm guessing Peanut's position as well. I googled it which was a huge mistake as of course it means I'm going into preterm labor...ugh. I just had a doc appointment last week Friday and everything looked fine, so I am not freaking out, just hoping it's a normal thing in the third tri.

  • @ignoscemihi I think option 1. it's on the round part of my bottom belly. and it feels super tight
  • @mrszoess my whole belly is itchy.  Cocoa butter lotion helps a bit, but the itch tends to come back.
  • off to Amazon! thanks @sjo_thetwins
  • @sjo_thetwins  Thinking of you!  How scary that she will need surgery right away, but I'm glad you have a plan in place and (hopefully) won't end up being surprised by anything.  It's all getting so real!!

@Pupatella  I have definitely been experiencing pelvic pressure on and off the past few weeks.  A few weeks ago, it was coupled with very mild period-like cramps and I also made the terrible mistake of googling it.  NO GOOGLE!!!  Haha I was already having high anxiety and google pushed that into  a full blown panic attack.  My OB said its just because baby is heavier and lower now, so it will happen when you have a busy day and are on your feet a lot.   I bought a support belt for when I exercise or am standing a lot and it helps a little.

I'm with all of you ladies on feeling like I am sticky and stinky all the time ... kind of TMI but I think it's a combo of being super sweat (I'm ALWAYS hot, which is very unusual for me), increased discharge, and being extra gassy.  I'm feeling less and less cute by the minute these days...

    It's a boy!

  • We had our company picnic yesterday at local amusement park... I was a sweaty, waddling, hot mess yesterday. I couldn't wait to shower. I sweat ALL the time... even during my shower on Sunday, out of no where I started pouring sweat. It's so gross. I'm so over the heat and warm weather. Bring on the fall!!

  • It feels like the baby is treating my queasy stomach like a punching bag  :s
  • Last night when I got in bed I swear Baby B was trying to stick his head straight out of my belly button. No buddy, wrong way.

  • So apparently water gives me terrible indigestion now, how does that even happen?? It ruined my dinner last night, I was dying of thirst when I woke up at 4:30 but water just made me feel nauseous, and I am so thirsty right now but I don't feel like fighting with my stomach yet this morning... and of course there is nothing else in this house.
  • +1 for being the stinky kid. I sweat constantly now, whether it's hot or not. Swamp crotch has returned with a vengeance. I just want to shower all the time.
@AllyTheKid water is the biggest culprit of my heartburn too, but I can't stop chugging it. Zantac helps!
  • Ahh, thankfully water doesn't give me heartburn. I did manage to not drink all night long, so I only had to get up to pee twice last night. Down from 6 most nights.

Anyone taking Benadryl to help with insomnia? I also have a really stuffy nose at night, so it helps with that too. I only started taking it 4 nights ago, but I wonder if I shouldn't take one every night? Anyone talked to their doc about it? I know it's "safe", but just not sure if it's an every day thing or not.

Surprise but very welcome + on 5/16/2019, EDD 1/25/2020
  • @MorganL925 I take Benadryl a few times a week. It helps me sleep and clears me up.
  • I've had what feels like a sinus headache for a few days and of course nothing I can take helps. My body seems to have decided it can't regulate its own temperature anymore. Sometimes at a perfectly reasonable temperature I'd normally be comfortable at, I feel cold. And I've been having sweating episodes where I soak through my clothes and leave wet spots on the pillow and bed. And this burning sharp sensation in my nipple area I only hope is boobies getting ready to do their job... I guess that's why they say the last trimester is the longest.

  • + for the Benadryl. I slept way better last night.
  • I take 1 Benadryl a night. Religiously.

  • @sjo_thetwins  thinking of you and all the ladies in your life. You're going to do amazing and your babies will prevail. Hugs!
  • @MorganL925 I remember my doctor recommended taking Benadryl twice a day every day to combat morning sickness (I couldn't because I'm a stay-at-home mom and have to be alert all day), so I think it's probably safe to take every night.
  • Late to the party, but I'm thinking of you and the girls @sjo_thetwins!

I've been getting killer headaches this week. :(  Energy is also zonked.  Why am I so tired?

I definitely second the Zantac. It's the only thing that's helped my acid at all. I think water, or any liquid really, is just so easy to come back up. They say to drink before you eat, and then just take small sips with your meal. Idk if it works or not, but I now take Zantac, once in the morning and once at night (75 mg didn't work for me so I'm on 150 mg now per dr's suggestion). It's the only thing that's helped and made a huge difference. But of course if you miss a dose it's as bad as ever blegh
