I'm a super planner myself, I basically planned my own shower. And I just caught myself volunteering to.plan my cousin's shower in January, with a newborn mid october.. I have problems
I'm dying! Still no shower yet but I know the date was moved up because my dr keeps talking about inducing. My Mom mentioned someone couldn't come because it's their birthday, which would be this Sunday. I don't know if she was saying that to throw me off but I'm itching to nest but have nothing to do it with besides the stuff we already bought and that's all organized already lol
@Ashleymn The prizes for games at one of my showers were actually all baby items that the winner would open and then give to me. The hostesses had bought things like formula dispensers, pacifiers, wash cloths, and bottle brushes.

For Carters: Khols took back anything that was the name brand carters for me with no issue. Walmart and Target have a different line of carters clothes- I completely forget what they are called though so you just have to match the inside tags with the store. I think it's like little me by carters or something about love and carters. Babies r us might also take back name brand carters without a receipt too- especially if you have a registry with them.
Aden by Aden and Anais- I had no issue returning to Target. But they also sell this brand at buy buy baby and babies r us. You also might be able to try and return at home goods and Marshalls because they've been selling them there lately too.
Otherwise if it's on your registry and you don't have a gift receipt it would be easy peasy to return to the store.
I HATE when people don't put in a gift receipt! It's so annoying and i get mad because some store have crazy sales and you only get the sale price.
@Kaessi the pineapple arrangement is so adorable! What a cute idea!
When was your shower? Today
How many people attended? Surprisingly 39. We invited 50ish and 32 RSVP'd so I'm quite pleased we had such a good turnout.
What did you wear? Pink blouse with blue cardigan and jeans.
Was there a theme? Pink and blue.
Did it go as you expected/wanted? Share. It went way better than expected! I was definitely freaking out when only 15 things on the registry showed as purchased as of this morning, but we ended up getting a lot of things from our registry. I think they just didn't tell the cashier it was from one. I feel so much more prepared for Bean's arrival.
What was your favorite part? Or least favorite part if applicable. My favorite part was seeing all of our family and friends, especially the ones I haven't seen in a long time. My least favorite part was the gift opening was chaos. It was a little loud so people couldn't hear me and it was just a lot to process.
How many people attended? I know this one because the captain of the boat had me sign off on it. 32 people!
What did you wear? A royal blue short dress from PinkBlush
Was there a theme? Yes, nautical.
Did it go as you expected/wanted? Share. Some of you know how I had my share of disappointments with some of the hostesses, and some of the guests who RSVPd and then canceled on me the day before. Flakes! But in the end, it didn't even matter. Everything was perfect, we were surrounded by people who wanted to be there, who showed their love and support. It was amazing. The weather was awesome, and everything just turned out amazing.
What was your favorite part? Or least favorite part if applicable. My least favorite part was waking up on Sunday morning and my feet still hurt. Not used to that, I thought sleep takes care of everything! My favorite part was seeing everyone, especially friends from LA I hadn't seen in a year that showed up! The sunset was also a stunner.
@annabenanna Finally! I've been waiting for the Yacht Party pics haha You look gorgeous and I am so happy everything went great, it looks like it was great Those snack trays are making me crave cheese, sausage and crackers so bad... did you get some registry items?
@AllyTheKid, the snack trays were awesome! One of my friends made lumpia and also salt and pepper wings, and I totally ate so much of those. Haha.
We did get registry items! I was surprised actually that some people totally gave stuff from the registry, but also a lot of people just gave whatever they wanted (Target stuff, that we now have to return for credit!), but all in all it was great!
What did you wear? White and royal blue dress from Pink Blush
Was there a theme? Love you to the moon and back and Mickey Mouse
Did it go as you expected/wanted? Our son was soooo spoiled yesterday! My family and friends showered us with so much love! We can't even express how grateful we are!
What was your favorite part? Or least favorite part if applicable. It was AMAZING!! Couldn't have asked for a better shower!!!

Love love love all these awesome showers, I can't wait for mines to come and go so I can settle into being completely prepared and expecting her arrival.
I had a small shower Sunday afternoon thrown by our Sunday School class. It super sweet of them to do something for us, considering that my husband and I have only been active in that class for maybe 6 months. There were 10 ladies there and a few children. I forgot to designate someone to take pictures for me, but someone just posted these on FB, so I stole them, hehe. I wore a green dress from Target and a jean jacket over it. There wasn't a theme, but they decorated with Reagan's nursery colors.
@annabenanna I'm so in! We could meet in like one of the Dakotas - that's half way-ish, right? I'm sure they need tons of party planning there....
And, I couldn't NOT help plan either - it's physically impossible for me to completely let go of the reigns. Some may call me a control freak, I simply consider myself passionate and invested.
As someone who lives in the Dakotas... YES!! Come here! Party planners out here suck
Walked in to work today and my team had decorated my desk; there were gifts and then they all brought food and a cake! It was so sweet and so unexpected!
I'm wide awake at 4 am so why not post the pictures from my work shower? The food was so good and we got a great variety of items, mostly from our registry. There's just 2 or 3 items in the return pile. There are 19 people in my office and everyone attended!
Oh wow, looks like you have wonderful coworkers @ibabyloveb87!

My cousin sent FI three messages last night over FB. 1) "My baby shower is tomorrow!" 2) "BTW everyone is required to bring a children's book with a story or memory written about me or Robert" 3) "Oh, also, everybody is required to bring diapers, the person who brings the most gets a prize!"
