  • Way to go, @emy730!  I totally dreaded training DD, but it's so nice now.
She sounds like she's right on track, and it will be nice to have it so well established before the new baby comes.

  • Am I the only one who doesn't want my toddler to be potty trained lol?  Diapers to me are so easy.  It seems like having to make your kids use the potty before you go anywhere and then dealing with public restrooms and accidents when you are out is so much more work than diapers! Is it really easier to haul everyone to the bathroom on a whim rather than changing a diaper at your leisure?  Maybe I'm missing something, but I'm really hoping DD doesn't have interest in potty training for a while because I am very content with our situation.

It's probably easier but I don't want to pay for two kids in diapers, lol. Which might end up happening anyway. :)
  • @spano41 ME! Lol, me too.  DH is into the idea of PTing but honestly I've been putting it off.  I cringe at the thought of dragging my 3 year old, 1 year old and soon to be newborn into random public restrooms constantly. I like not having to rush through stores to find a bathroom, not having to deal with accidents (MOTN or otherwise). I'm kind of crossing my fingers that if I just wait until my oldest is really "ready" that the whole thing will be very straightforward and easy.

DS1 seems to be getting to that point so I'm not anticipating 3 in diapers but 2? I've been doing that for a year already.
  • @spano41 At first, it is more difficult. The first couple of months especially. We did pull ups for awhile when we went out shopping or were going to be away from home for several hours. That made it to where we didn't have to worry as much about having an accident and changing wet/dirty clothes in public places. He caught on really quickly though. Now it's so much easier to just hold him up over the toilet and let him pee. The plus side of a boy is he doesn't even have to touch it. He's s home pooper for the most part. Lol
  • We tried potty training and my daughter isn't ready yet but I feel you @spano41! It's so much easier to just change a diaper. We also cloth diaper so the cost isn't an issue for us to hurry either.
