ETA I remember thinking that your first beta was really high and wondering if you were pregnant t with twins. But triplets? Holy crap!!!

Aww @chloe97! Thank you! I think my first two were relatively normal (437 at 10dp5dt and 967 at 12dp, but then at 17dp it was 7841, which was like holy cow high!), but third one I thought it could be twins, but triplets! I didn't ever think that would happen (we've transferred 6 embryos before, and only 1 took!).

I am still in complete shock.

Hi all- a bit of a disappointing result from my first u/s this morning. I've done 4 days of injections with Menopur at 150 iu and so far I have 2 follicles at almost 15mm. I keep telling myself it's only CD 8 and quality over quantity but the whole point was to make more eggs. My nurse thought the two were good sized and developing nicely and would definitely be ready for a trigger on Monday. In the mean time she's increased my dosage to 225iu for the next two days and I go back on Monday to see how things are going and hopefully another follicle or two will pop up. Sometimes I really hate this process.

@roxgibbons Hopefully increasing your meds spurs some more follies to grow!

Thanks ladies- I've spent the last hour moping in bed and cursing this damn process. I guess I was hoping for better results right off the bat. My AFC at my baseline was really good so I was hopeful. DH has been great and reminded me that all it takes is one good egg and of all the cycles we have down with 4 follies and all BFN and that when it happened it was all on our own with 1 egg. Anyway- trying to stay positive and hope for some better results on Monday- as my nurse if nothing else we have two to work with. BTW- I swear acupuncture has awakened my left ovary- the last couple cycles I'm starting to get follicles on my left and this time both follies are on my left. I hope you all have a good weekend.

I'm so sorry for he frustrating process @roxgibbons. I'm with your DH, though. If you're growing two high quality follies, that may be all it takes. Hugs though... I'm sure it's tough.

@roxgibbons I'm sorry, this all sucks. My AFC and eventual retrieved follicles were way off too. My AFC at baseline was over 14 and I think they only retrieved 9... I can't even remember anymore. Your husband is right though, it only does take one good egg! I'll stay hopeful for you and wish you best of luck at your next scan.

Thanks @BornReady- that was exactly why I was disappointed. My AFC was 25 and after injections of Menopur I only have two follicles growing?? I totally get how you felt. It just doesn't make sense. I made more on letrozole at a fraction of the cost. It's all trial and error I guess. Because of the high AFC she didn't think I would need a strong dose. Clearly that wasn't the case. Thanks for the good thoughts. I'm also sending good vibes your way for your beta on Monday!! So exciting

Follicle scan done!! Rightie is dominant for once. 26mm, 23mm and 13.7mm all on the right. None on the left. Headed jome to trigger before work.

Just an update- my IUI was done yesterday. I have to say my nurse was amazing, she knows how stressed I was about the lack of response and the thin lining so she did me a solid and did an ultrasound to check on things. She actually suggested it and was like don't tell anyone...the good news is the estrace helped and my lining thickened up to an acceptable level and she also noticed my egg had not released yet so that was good to know and we got busy last night to up our chances. Her kindness meant so much and really helped get me out of the funk I was in. Anyway- beta on 9/7 and so begins the TWW.

@roxgibbons Fx for you! My lining was 5.89 at 7 DPO the cycle after my last D&C. It seems to be getting thicker with acupuncture and raspberry leaf tea. This cycle I bled for 2 days versus 1 day. I mentioned to my RE my concerns and she said that it's not the thickness- it's the "pattern" that matters the most. She's seen people get pregnant with linings that thin. Fx this is your cycle!!!

Yay @roxgibbons! Having thoughtful nurses makes a HUGE difference. They can totally make or break the experience.

as for me, just waiting to find out what % we get off my meds since we are paying out of pocket. I wasn't anxious but now I am. My bloodwork from Tuesday suggested I had O'd (probably very late) and my progesterone was 6.1 -- so now I am waiting for AF but hoping she takes a few more days so we can get the paperwork taken care of.

Thanks everyone. It makes a difference when your dr or nurse is kind and goes the extra mile for you. I felt so much better leaving the RE office yesterday. I start on progesterone suppositories tomorrow and continue estrace orally (I'm so over this blue discharge) now until the beta. Now my goal is to stay distracted and calm. In case of BFN, I am repeating CD 3 testing and I'm also being tested for blood clotting stuff just in case. My nurse thew those in just to make sure we aren't missing anything.

@DungeonTrollMel I hope we both get some good news- I think I will POAS the morning of the beta just to brace myself. GL and have fun with TI

@chloe97 I think next cycle I will start the Raspberry Tea. I told my acupuncturist about the thin lining and she thought it was strange since I never had an issue before so she added some points for blood flow and will continue with doing that for further treatments. Isn't acupuncture great? I swear it totally woke up my left ovary.

@Aera11 I hope all the insurance paperwork gets squared away and your meds are partially covered. They can get so expensive.

pants. He actually checks my socks now because he gets a kick out of them. I wore these to my follicle scan

You have to do what you can to get some laughs out of it.
