    2. Still some bouts of nausea.
Calling in for some Zantac today for the heartburn. It was never this bad with DS.... Hopefully I won't need it 3 times a day right away. I'm hoping to try once in the morning and take a tum or 2 through out the day if needed. We'll see how it goes.

    3. I've had more energy these days and it looks like my aversion to coffee has gone buh byeeee! I had a small cup each morning the last 2 days and had no issues. I know caffeine doesn't help for acid reflux but it's worth it!

    2. What are your symptoms like these days? Tired, trouble sleeping, very very sore breasts, some low back pain, growing belly, very emotional/moody

    3. Rants/raves/questions/concerns? I cannot wait to start the nursery!! I am waiting semi-patiently for my husband to clean up the spare room so we can clear out and clean up the nursery and get the ball rolling. I am also dying to know the gender! Munchkin was being very shy at the NT scan, so we will be waiting another 5 weeks for the anatomy scan....I have an inkling baby is a girl yet I keep saying he, I am confused! lol
  • Numbness in my hands is getting a little ridiculous

  • 1. How far along are you?
    - Will be 15 weeks Wednesday.

    2. What are your symptoms like these days?
    - Pretty tame, I have some stretching pains and today my stomach is sore from cleaning all weekend, as long as I have my daily Dr. P in the am, it's usually pretty smooth sailing for avoiding MS.

    3. Rants/raves/questions/concerns?
    - It's been three weeks since my last appt and I see doc on the 1st. It's always about this amount of time in between appointments that I get anxiety and my worries/ fears get the best of me. Up until this point, I've seen her every two weeks and based on schedule timing between our schedules was why I saw her with such short time in between visits that it's making this stretch of time so much harder. I'm pretty sure I drove my husband crazy this weekend, because even using the doppler didn't put my fears aside and he went on and on about why the doppler was a bad idea in the first place. No, normally it's not a bad idea. Normally I don't question when I think I found babes heart beat, but now I am just being neurotic and letting my anxiety get the best of me.

    2. What are your symptoms like these days? Overall feeling better. Nausea comes and goes, but I have been able to decrease the dose of my Diclectin so that it good. The fatigue is improving, but I still feel like I need a nap most days.

    3. Rants/raves/questions/concerns?
We have one month to go until we find out the sex at the anatomy scan. We are all excited for that.
I'm pretty sure I felt a flutter the other night too when I was settling in for bed. I can't wait to feel regular movement even though I know that could be a month from now.

  • 1) 13 weeks 3 days

    2) exhausted. But I've had no morning sickness so far this pregnancy and all other symptoms have been relatively mild.

    3) This exhaustion is ridiculous! I feel like Im sleep walking through every day.  I want to nap all the time and probaby would if I wasn't chasing around a 14 mth old (which probably contributes to the exhaustion). This is my  2nd pregnancy and although I got a little tired with my first, it doesn't even compare to what im going through this time.  I am planning on mentioning it to my OB next visit.  I know some exhaustion is to be expected, but this is crazy!

Also, I'm in the same boat with others when it comes to getting anxious between appointments. I hate waiting and I'm sure I'd make myself even more crazy if I got my own doppler lol

finally, (I guess I have a lot of rants) this morning DS refused to nap so we got ourselves dressed and out of the house for a trip to the gym. We drive 20 minutes, get there, I bring him to the play/baby sitting area where he has played a bunch of times before, and he has a complete meltdown. There was no calming him down  so back home we went. Boo.
  • I feel like my stomach can't get any bigger. It's this weird sensation, usually at the end of the day, as if I've just eaten a massive meal and my insides want more space, but there just isn't more space. It's kind of like bloat to the nth degree. It also feels like a bit of a workout. My upper ab muscles more than my lower ab muscles, which makes no sense.

Does this sound remotely familiar to anyone?
  • @floatingelephy yes!! if I eat too much, I am SO uncomfortable. even a bite too much. part of my issue is gas and constipation.
  • @floatingelephy Exactly what you described is currently happening to me right now. Sooo uncomfortable
  • Another yes, @floatingelephy. I get full really easily but have to eat way more often.
  • 14w5d

Holy acne Batman! I haven't had a single zit this whole pregnancy and then last night BAM!

Also, thank goodness the cat is out of the bag at work because halfway through the day I noticed my shirt was tighter around my chest than I find acceptable for work. I was so focused on my stomach this morning that I didn't even think to check the other growing bits.

@floatingelephy my abs don't feel like they're in a workout, they feel like I just got done with one and need to do a really big back bend/updog to stretch them out. I think based on what I've seen others post, this is not recommended in pregnancy...but man it would feel SO good!
  • @floatingelephy my stomach does the same thing. A few weeks ago it was aching non stop with the weird upper ab pain, and suddenly got big, now it has moments where I feel like it is out of stretching room. I think it's just shifting and growing and stretching. Maybe you will see a sudden belly size increase within the next week!!

  • Sorry in advance for the giant picture of my stomach, but see those moles, those are DS1 moles and this one I'm pointing to is them already starting with DS2. It's so itchy.

  • I am 16 weeks.

I feel better than I have in a long time. I can only eat small amounts at a time and my tastes seem permanently different, hopefully back to normal after pregnancy. I have to watch what I eat because certain foods are causing terrible gas pains. Heartburn is back already no matter what I eat.

  • Solidarity love tits for you all! I'm glad to hear this is normal and I'm not about to become the first spontaneously combusting pregnant lady.

This is a whiny time. I'm not sleeping well at night. I'm napping again almost daily. I've had terrible migraines this past week. And I'm suffering one now. This sucks big time today.

@PerraSucia I didn't know you can have moles appear due to pregnancy

  • Skin tags have been coming back with a vengeance.
  • 14w3d or so

Skin tags and hair are appearing everywhere.   I am looking forward to sock season, the hair on my big toes is so dark I am going to have to bleach.

I saw my regular doctor yesterday and he recommended Benadryl for both headaches and nausea.  It's worth a shot!

My belly is definitely growing and sticking out more.   Heartburn is starting up. I am still waiting for that second trimester energy burst, but, well, let's say things with my husband are looking up.   As long as I don't have heartburn from dinner, lol.

I am also officially sure I am feeling flutters.  It's mostly first thing in the morning or if I wake up to pee at night.   Reassuring since baby has seemed very still on ultrasounds.

  • @job3 @Partyof6? @PerraSucia YES on the skintags/ moles. I have four moles on my tummy that would make a perfect square if you drew lines. One has almost disappeared, one has turned into a floppy tag, and the others have gotten puffier. I also have this big fat mole on my spine that DH is always afraid of ripping off during sexytime, and it has turned all puffy as well. Sounds like this isn't unusual, but I still want to bring it up at my next appointment. WHY ARE BODIES SO WEIRD.

  • Anyone else noticing hair on your stomach growing thicker or darker? So far mine is just limited to that line from just above my belly button down but I saw it in the mirror yesterday and it used to just be blonde and sparsely covered and it's now darker and thicker... I'm guessing this is just another lovely pregnancy symptom like acne and growing boobs but I was not expecting that! It's bad enough I considered shaving it but haven't yet b/c honestly I don't want to make it worse and no one but DH sees my tummy and he hasn't commented on it...

  • Yes to the increase in moles and darker tummy hair! So weird!
  • @marriedhamstermom Yes to darker tummy hair! Mine is also in a line from just above my belly button to a bit below. I'm leaving for a vacation tomorrow where I expect to wear a bikini, and I'm trying to decide what to do. I'll just be with H and friends who won't care, but still...I wish it wasn't there!

  • Well finally catching up on this thread makes me feel way less weird! I've suddenly sprouted 4 new skin tags (conveniently located right where my bra hits them!), a few new dark hairs sprouting under my belly button, and if I eat even one bite more dinner than I should.... man do I regret it!

A few times I have been eating, and I just suddenly drop the fork. There is that, 'do not take one more bite!' feeling and I'm done. DH even recognizes it now and offers to take my plate for me.
Rainbow baby Dean is due 2/17/17!
  • @WinchesterGirl - I've been doing the same and I think DH is going to gain a lot of weight over the next few months...  I need to re-figure out how to order at restaurants, etc.

  • I thought I felt flutters too, @Partyof6? but my MW was totally skeptical when I told her this morning and now I feel silly. You at least know what you're feeling for, though!
  • No heartburn yet, but my belly hurts. After I eat I feel SO overly full like I am going to pop, and even before eating sometimes my stomach feels like it is stretched to the max and has no more stretch left in it. I think I am going to start using Palmers Cocoa Butter on my belly now

Obviously we've been over the fact that everybody feels the baby at different times, but today I went in for my 16 week appointment and my Dr asked me if I have been feeling the baby... I told her I have for sure once felt it and she just said very good. She didn't act like it was too early.

Probably since you're a STM+. It seems to come earlier for you guys.
  • @Xstatic3333 it's just a bummer though that if you thought maybe you felt it, she acted skeptical. I remember with my first I wasn't sure about it for so long then when I realized it was in fact the baby people would ask if I felt it and id say oh yeah for about 3 weeks now lol

Well, I did get to hear a heartbeat this morning so that makes it easy to be calm. Talk to me again right before my AS. I'm already feeling anxious about that. We didn't have an NT scan so there is a lot of anxiety about just making sure my baby is a four-limbed, healthy little dude(tte). The only thing keeping me from running to a boutique US place right now is the fact that the same amount of money an US would cost can also be turned into onesies or cloth diapers.
  • @Xstatic3333 with my last I had a midwife tell me at 24 week it was too early to come in for fetal monitoring because I wasn't feeling her move as often and she said it was normal not to feel her at that point. All that did was make me second guess myself and I lost her at 32 weeks because I didn't listen to my gut telling me to go get checked out due to her lack of movement. I don't like when midwifes and doctors are "sceptical" of this sort of thing, because then that makes the mom second guess her natural intuition. You know your body and if it felt differen than just "gas bubbles" then it was probably baby. Sorry for my rant, but I would never want a mom second guessing herself when it comes to her pregnancy and what she may be feeling.

  • I'm at 13 weeks exactly today. Yay almost done with 1st tri!
Anyone else having achey/stabby vaginal pains? They are super weird. I was thinking maybe they're connecting to round ligament pain? or the feeling of constant stomach stretching/pullling/aching I've had for the past 2 months.
  • Just wanted to share a kind of scary symptom I experienced today that is evidently kind of normal for pregnancy. It started with blinking dots in my vision that looked like someone had taken a flash photo in low light. Over the next ten minutes it changed to blinking zigzag lines through my entire field of vision with blind spots and the inability to focus my eyes on anything. I drank some water and closed my eyes at my desk for 10-20 minutes and it slowly started to get better. Within an hour I was 100% back to normal. It was kind of scary through the whole ordeal, dr Google eased my nerves through it and I called my doctor after things started to get better to see if they told me something similar to what I read. Sure enough, it's an optic migraine without the headache.
  • @Patience7150 this happens to me pre head hurting part. I hope you don't get the pain too
  • Thank you for sharing @bdesterhouse. I'm so sorry. It's a great reminder when we're still early on to trust our instincts as things come up later.

Of course. I'm a huge advocate for people to trust their guts/intuition. If something feels different or off, call. What does it hurt? Most docs have nurses specifically there to answer these calls/questions.
