I'm now using my LMP as baby has caught up based on the NT scan measurements.
I am thinking about doing this, too, for the same reason. I figure I'll wait and see where we're measuring as of the AS, but for conversational purposes, I'm just telling people "mid-February." I get having a date in mind for pictures, appointments, etc., but in reality, who knows when this kid is coming. I find a ballpark figure to be more reasonable.
My LMP and temping dates are only a few days apart, so I've just been using my LMP date as well with the intention of changing it to whatever date they give me at my AS on Sept. 2nd.
EDD's are "wrong" most of the time anyways because giving birth anywhere from 39 weeks to 41 weeks is considered normal, and only about 5% of babies are born on their due date. Ballparks are definitely better.
So, my estimated date of conception from charting and LMP are only 1 day apart. I kind of obsessed about this simply because I wanted the later EDD for induction purposes. 1 day can sometimes make a difference, and IMO the later-the better. DD2 was 8 days late and I had an appt scheduled the day she was born, but on my way to recovery I have a distinct memory of my MW nudging my thigh and saying "Glad you had this baby today! I was going to talk about an induction for tomorrow!" Anyway, that's just me.
As far as telling people dates go, the conversations go like this: "When are you due?" "February" "When in February?" "Around Valentines Day." "Sooooo the 14th?" "Well, the 13th, but we'll see"
Different people stop at different points in the conversation are satisfied with more general terms. Others, not too much.

this annoys me. idk why people outside my family are obsessed with wanting to know my due date. so my conversations go like this:
"when are you due?" February. "when in February?" When the baby is cooked and cute. "but when?" When baby is ready. repeat.
@Gretchypoo - I don't even want family to know the exact date! It was awful having to field constant phone calls/texts/facebook messages when DD2 was late. CONSTANT. I ended up copying and pasting "if I birth a human, I promise I will let you know". LOL

I do this to friends/ acquaintances, but its because I'm pregnant too and want to see how far apart we are.
We have two sleeping beauties in heaven. Jack gained his wings on 09/02/2016. Kali gained her wings on 07/28/2015. They will be forever missed.
FFMC? I lied completely about my due date to my step mom. She was horrible when I had my son and really stressed me out so I told her I am due 4/1. A full two months after my actual due date. I hate lying but she's not the type to respect my space or wishes or anything for that matter, so I felt it had to be done.
Oh yeah, and in case anyone didn't catch it, I know babies come when they want to and all. So this isn't a "I want the exact prediction of a birthday" so much as a "I want to put the damn stickers in my planner " question. My twins were due May 3 and came April 10. My daughter was due June 23 and came the 16th.
So a petty question, lol.

I go by my LMP even though it's 3 days behind what the dating ultrasound said. My OB won't change my due date unless there's a 7 day difference. We'll see what happens at the anatomy scan but if I'm still only a few days ahead than we'll stick to LMP until the end.

My original LMP date is 2/23, first dating ultrasound was 2/17, next time 2/18, then I have had a 2/20 and 2/21, lol. History of miscarriage and doctor who would diagnose a sinus infection with an ultrasound for the win.

My LMP and 7w u/s were only a day apart so we didn't change it. My 12 w u/s was 4 days ahead (I'm still going by LMP though). Curious to see what A/S says! I'm trying to plan my leave already and it's hard not knowing when it'll actually start.
I'll be buying some maternity clothes in early October or maybe even late September. Basically, I'm waiting until fall hits and the weather cools. I'll probably only need a pair of jeans and a few long sleeve tops.
I fully plan on living off leggings, sweatpants and sweatshirts this winter.

Ditto. I plan to buy 1 pair of jeans and some leggings. Then I'll grab a few tanks to layer under whatever I want -- see my pinsperation:
I'm a child. My boss just sent me an e-mail with the subject "I Love Dick" and I about fell out of my chair laughing. He was trying to tell me about an amazon prime show by the same title...but all I imagined was him telling me he's gay and loves penis.
DH and I justified getting Chipotle after work so we'd be less hungry to go grocery shopping before going home. While at Chipotle we decided we could wait another day to go grocery shopping.

@Partyof6? Just to throw it out there, my EDD has changed at couple times so far, even though I was temping and know the day I ovulated. Baby always measured ahead about 3 days at the beginning, so they went by my LMP day. Then at the A/S, baby measured another 3 days ahead of that day. So I just stayed with my LMP EDD, and I take pictures, ticker change, planner mark, etc on Tuesdays.

How!? About 5% of my wardrobe is all that fits anymore. I feel like my entire body has changed shape and it's just all wrong for my clothes. At 14w5d and a FTM I am 100% maternity pants and about 30% maternity tops.
I'm going to be so jealous if this plan is how things play out for you.
@Patience7150 I know they will work out from past experience. They're the kind that are "maternity friendly". Believe me, my regular jeans and all non stretch pants haven't fit for a while already.

I'm a little disappointed by the lack of random threads and drama. I probably just jinxed us.
I was just about to start one asking about my IBS symptoms and freaking out bc I was thinking about visiting a Zika infested area for my elaborate gender reveal while also complaining about the posting rules. But I decided to create my own online baby shower instead.
LOL be careful what you wish for Ginger! If you're really struggling I can try to say something inflammatory in TW Tuesday I suppose. It will be out of character and minds will be blown.
My random, a conversation with H last night.
Me: I'm feeling a little insecure about how big my bump is for 16 weeks. What if the baby is growing too fast?
H: I wouldn't worry. You always had a little beer bump, the baby's just pushing it out a bit.
Crickets
H: I mean, you say that! You frequently say that! My intentions were good here, remember that.
Me: You have a beer bump too.
H: Now that's just mean! I was trying to make you feel better!
Well now I just need my mind to be blown. Spill it! @Xstatic3333
I don't actually have anything in mind yet. Everything controversial I can think of is more of an UO, unless I go political and TW my not-chosen presidential candidate. Which tempts me weekly. I'll work on it.
