Anne (Annie)

We have a little girl named Caroline. We lost a baby girl, Elizabeth, when I was 33 weeks. I had two miscarriages after that so this past 1.5 years has been very hard. I'm pregnant with a girl again and we decided on Anne and calling her Annie. It means grace/gracious. The meaning is why we chose the name. It is by God's grace that we have been given this sweet baby girl. Just wanted to know your thoughts on Anne (Annie). Thanks!!

    I really like the simplicity yet classiness of Anne and I think Annie is adorable on a little girl. Congrats and best wishes!

    I like Anne. I think it's a great, classic name.

    And I'm super sappy and think how nice it would be to give her nice editions of Anne of Green Gables as birthday gift.

    I love it. If we had a girl, she would have been Anna (Annie), based off my middle name, Anne. Also, not sure if it matters or not, but Anne is a common mn for Elizabeth (myself included) and that would be a lovely connection.

    I'm sorry for your losses. 
    I love Anne / Annie. It's a timeless name with a great meaning.

    Ann is actually toward the top of my list of girls' names but my husband isn't sold (in spite of the fact that it's his mom's name)

    definitely go for it!

    As Anne who goes by Annie I love it. Sometimes I wish my name wasn't Annie so I could use it!!
