GTKY: what was your fist date with SO? Our first "official" date was dinner on my 20th birthday. He was so cute and brought me yellow roses. We had been hanging out for about 3 weeks before then doing movie nights and group stuff but that was out first formal thing. You know how it's kind of backward in college. When you start out as a drunk make out
R/R: Nothing planned for today. & it's raining, so I won't feel guilty for doing nothing all day.
CS/Q: Still got nothing here.
GTKY: Met at work. First hangout (outside of him finding reasons to come to my office) was me stopping at his go-to bar for a beer. First "official" date was a dinner at hibachi & going to the casino to play slots/blackjack.
@SnobunnieMel yayyyyy for off the bench! FX for tomorrow!
WAYDTGKU: Temping,
CM, PNVs, vitamin D, B6, B12, CoQ10, green tea, FertilityBlend supplement. Starting OPKs in a few days.
R/R: I'm watching the women's marathon in the Olympics this morning. It should be inspiring, but... man am I lazy.
CS/Q:
GTKY: Kind of like @SnobunnieMel my DH and I were friends in a large friend group for a long time in college before we hooked up. Our first "date" was after that, to get quesadillas at a place near campus just the two of us.
@snobunniemel Yay for being off the bench! H and I started out similarly--lots of group hangs/parties before we actually started dating. @tripledaggerwed95976 I am also slightly hungover which is odd because I really only had a few beers. My age is showing. @adirat Ha!! I am also watching the marathon and thinking the same thing. They've been running for nearly two hours and I'm just like...I could maybe run for twenty minutes.

H and I were friends before we actually started dating so we hung out a lot in groups or at parties. We happened to go to a midnight showing for The Dark Knight together (with a group) and I mentioned I'd never seen Batman Begins. He invited me over to watch it and that was the first time we hung out alone sooo I guess that could be considered our first date?
@SnobunnieMel I started dating my husband the month before I turned 20! Also glad to see you're off the bench @Westy99 lazy days are the best, enjoy yourself! @tripledaggerWed95976 hope your hangover is quickly cured, but I'm sure those margaritas were worth it @adirat lol love that picture! R/R: The highway I took to work yesterday ended up being down to 1 lane (from 3) and my 30 minute drive took an hour and 10 minutes luckily I have an option for an alternate route today but it sucked getting dinged for a "partial shift" yesterday, I'm never late to work!
CS/Q: AF temps were in high 97s and they've dipped to high 96s post AF & flat 97 this AM. Does anyone else have elevated temp on AF? I always see people saying their temp drops BEFORE AF... I'm so new to this I worry I'm doing it wrong or my body is being weird!
GTKY: what was your first date with SO?
He was a creeper and picked me up at the bagel shop I worked at. I literally went over to his house on our first date and we made a key lime pie, except we burnt the crust in the oven so it was more like we just TRIED to make a key lime pie. My coworkers texted me a couple times throughout the night to make sure I was "okay"- I probably didn't know him well enough to just go to his house alone but hey I was young impulsive and excited. I keep telling him we should try to make that key lime pie again sometime but we haven't yet.

GTKY: (sorry if this is a repeat to anything recent, inn picking up my activity back on this side) what was your first date with SO? We went to dinner (Mexican. Nom.) and a movie. Like pretty much everyone else, we had been hanging out in a group before hand. I actually was dating someone else at the time and broke up with him for DH. Ruthless.
It's funny how it's the little things in life that mean the most...not where you live, or what you drive, or the price tag on your clothes... There's no dollar sign on a piece of mind, this I've come to know! *ZBB*
R/R: currently in SO much pain. I pulled a muscle in my tailbone area picking up DS last week and it has gotten significantly worse and not better since. I'm at the point where sitting or laying down brings tears to my eyes from pain so I prob should get it looked at but I don't think there's anything they can do...selfishly, all I can think about is that this better not mess with my FW this cycle because I don't want to miss another opportunity.
CS/Q: I'll start temping again tomorrow. I took last cycle off since we were benched. It was nice to not have that stress but I also knew there wasn't any chance. I think not temping during a cycle we had a chance would stress me out too much
GTKY: (sorry if this is a repeat to anything recent, inn picking up my activity back on this side) what was your first date with SO?
we went to the boardwalk and played silly boardwalk games - he still insists I cheated at air hockey because I wore a low cut shirt and distracted him lol (LIES!). We ate pizza and fried pickles. It was prob the best first date I've ever had since it was pure fun and I had low expectations at that point since I had sworn off dating lol who knew?!?
Haha so we met on match.com and we were texting all day that day (we hadn't met in person yet) and I really really wanted to go out with him that night and he said he was feeling a bit under the weather and was in his pajamas so I said "that's ok! I'll come in my pajamas and we can go out!" Again, I really really wanted to meet him!!! Hahaha and here we are now, married for four years!
WAYDTGKU: lots of vitamins, tracking CM, temping. I'll start OPKs again this week. FW starts Thursday, so next weekend will be like:

GTKY: (sorry if this is a repeat to anything recent, inn picking up my activity back on this side) what was your first date with SO?
We were also friends for a long time before getting together. As friends, we had hung out just the two of us before, so there is some gray area about when our first "date" was. We were sort of in denial that we were becoming more than friends. Ha! We usually pin point it to a FroYo date or getting tacos at our now favorite Mexican restaurant.
WAYDTGKU: temping and pnv right now. Checking cm, cp, opk, preseed, HIO, etc when the time comes.
R/R: so, even though I hate that it's CD1, I think my FW will line up nicely with our vacation starting next weekend and the following week. I can't be the only one who thinks that vacation sex is so much better than at home sex, right? RIGHT?
CS/Q: nothing today.
GTKY: (sorry if this is a repeat to anything recent, inn picking up my activity back on this side) what was your first date with SO? well, we started dating in high school so I'd say our first "real" date was homecoming in 2001. We are coming up on 15 years! Yikes!

@BertieMeetsGertie yes! We are on vacation CD 12-20. This is cycle 1 off BC for me so no clue if/when I'll enter FW but I figure that window has a fairly good chance of lining up! Something about being in a new place, or a hotel room worrying about being overheard idk we are super busy and usually only have sex about once a week but EoD or ED seems to happen pretty naturally on vacations lol. Here's hoping that's good luck for both of us!

WAYDTGKU: TTA but still trucking along trying to chart and figure out if I'm ovulating. BBT, PNV, methyl folate, RRL. Looking into supplements and such.
R/R: TTA because of Zika exposure next month. But it doesn't look like I'm ovulating anyway. Today is my "birthday" celebration with my DH's family. My birthday was actually on Tuesday. This is a rant because I hate it. When we celebrate his sister's birthday, everyone gives her tons of presents. When we celebrate my birthday, we celebrate with me, his grandpa, and his other sister's POS baby daddy and no one gives presents. I don't need presents, I just need consistency. Don't give one person $200 worth of presents and gift cards, then give other people nothing. It's rude. It makes me so mad. Also, we are adults and we don't need a birthday "party" anyway. I'm most certainly going to fake sick so I don't have to go. I feel a headache coming on right now...
CS/Q: ****Questions*** I have PCOS. It's CD 13 and no sign of O. When I do rarely O, it is always at this time. I know things change from cycle to cycle, but I'm not hopeful. I've seen lost of supplements listed by people. I'm wondering about ovex and vitex and inositol. I need suggestions. Though I'm TTA until November, I still plan to continue getting myself ready for TTC and pregnancy.
GTKY: What was your first date with SO? We went to a new grocery store that had just opened. It was supposed to be AMAZING! lol. So lame, but we walked around and it was fine because we were together.

R/R: I went out last night to Main Event, an arcade with bowling and laser tag, with friends for a birthday event. It was a lot of fun. The birthday girl came over and talked to us a little, and she asked if we are having any babies. I immediately started to cry and ran away. My husband suggested we go home, and when we got to the car, I texted her to apologize and explain that I was emotional because we had a loss last week. She's been through a loss herself and was very supportive and sweet. I can't wait until I don't break down everytime something is said to me. Someday, I'd like to be strong enough to use my voice to talk about it, and not just rely on text.
CS/Q: None for now.
GTKY: (sorry if this is a repeat to anything recent, inn picking up my activity back on this side) what was your first date with SO? I don't really know. We didn't start out dating like that. We met at a Halloween party. He lived in another town, and the second time we saw each other, I went to his town with two friends. We hung out with him and the other friends in the area. The first several times we hung out were with a group, and we weren't together yet. I don't honestly remember our first actual date.
R/R: I got a blazing positive OPK today. Trigger shot last night wasn't too bad. My mom thankfully gave it to me cuz I would not have had the cojones to do it. Our IUI is 10 am tomorrow and we have awesome timing besides that so we have done everything we can this cycle.

I talked to my doctor about it, and she said that things like vitex can be taken without a doctor's supervision IF you are confident keeping track of your fertility yourself (CM and cycle length, for instance) so you go to a doctor if you have any weird side effects -- in other words, if something does go south, you want to notice it. She said things like estrogen and progesterone should not be taken without a doctor's supervision.
Before you add any supplements, I recommend checking out the NIH's clearinghouse for complementary medicine: https://nccih.nih.gov/ It will help you understand the evidence base (if any) and interactions to watch for. Some supplements can interact with other medicines you take (for instance, NIH notes that vitex should not be taken with some psychiatric medications). I take thyroid medication and I avoid anything that has even a remote possibility of interacting with my thyroid.
Although I have endometriosis, not PCOS, I did a ton of research on this topic so I'm happy to chat more if you have questions.

GTKY: (sorry if this is a repeat to anything recent, inn picking up my activity back on this side) what was your first date with SO? He tricked me into our first date, though I probably should have seen through it. I told him I was going with my mom to see the last Harry Potter movie, and he said he wanted to go for drinks after because he "wanted my thoughts on how they did the ending." I saw it super late in theaters because crowded theaters make me anxious. So I sat there and thought, "Awesome, someone just wants to talk Harry Potter with me, I'm in for that!" I showed up to what ended up being our first date in a (very tasteful) Hogwarts shirt. Our five-year anniversary of our first date (and our wedding anniversary) is tomorrow... crap, I need to get him a card!

@mollyandd glad you had fun last night--I love laser tag! Sorry that your friend brought up the baby thing, but I'm glad she understands/is supportive (though don't you think you would avoid asking people questions like that if you have also suffered a loss? you just never know). @megzb510 I also don't think I'd be able to give myself a shot! Glad your mom came through for you. ;-) ' @mrsdee15 FX for your u/s tomorrow--let us know how it goes!

GTKY: (sorry if this is a repeat to anything recent, inn picking up my activity back on this side) what was your first date with SO? My DH and I always disagree on which date is our first official first date. Back when we were first talking, we made a bet on who would win the world series, Yankees or Diamondbacks. Yankees unfortunately lost, so I had to take him out to dinner. I really thought it was just a ploy to get me out, but when the check came, he didn't grab it! I almost didn't even bring any cash! To this day I still rag him about it, to which he replies...it was a bet!

We made it through both opening acts and only saw 20 minutes of Rascal Flatts because there was an awe inspiring lightening storm surrounding us at the amphitheater (a bolt of lightening struck just outside the theater lawn) and the whole place was evacuated and the remainder of the show was cancelled. Such a bummer. I love summer concerts, but don't love running for our lives in a crowd of drunken college kids in a thunderstorm. Nor did I like the dumb drunk kid who screaming vote for Donald Trump during the 20 minutes of the actual show. I wanted to punch him in the face. I am at a concert, not a political rally. @shstephenson DH did the same thing. He had a gf when we were friends and she was super conservative and wasn't giving him any. He left her instead of trying to pressure her (plus just plain old not really meant for each other). Two days after they broke up is what we call our dating anniversary (and our wedding since we got married on New Years too). Pretty sure that first day I gave him a BJ but I think I made him wait a whole 2 weeks for sex lol

GTKY: (sorry if this is a repeat to anything recent, inn picking up my activity back on this side) what was your first date with SO?
DH and I were friends before we started dating. We started texting and snapchatting in a more than friendly way but he had a gf. I was super thirsty though and totally made the first move. He wanted to breakup with her but already had Christmas plans with her and her family so he waited until like 2 days after. I will never understand that logic. I think he didn't want them to plan for him to be part of their festivities and then have a breakup right before Christmas...idk. Anyway, New Years Eve we went to a party and we almost kissed at the ball drop but I chickened out because none of our friends knew we were into each other. We kissed when we were leaving though. I went to his house later on New Years Day and we hung out and I gave him a casual BJ (I was totally thirsty and his ex was super conservative Christian lol). Our first date was actually me driving to Outback to have dinner with him after he got out of work at like 9pm but I had already ate because I get hangry and eat on a schedule so I awkwardly watched him eat. Then we got coffee together and were out until 1am. It was sweet. We got married a year later on our one year anniversary right before he was stationed in Korea.
@soemthingclever I had just been drinking green tea, but I haven't been consistent. I love tea and iced or hot black tea was pretty much the only thing I drank other than water and alcohol. I'm trying to cut down altogether b/c of caffeine even though teas tend to have less caffeine than coffee and I don't really drink any other caffeinated beverages. I'm finding that there isn't a huge evidence base behind the green tea thing but since it's replacing a habit I already have I figured it's worth a shot? Maybe eventually sub to decaf teas altogether but... Ugh....

@PolarBear517 There's actually no correlation with tea and pregnancy or miscarriage issues, just coffee, so no need to worry about getting rid of green tea or switching to decaf if it's something you enjoy! The general recommendations around caffeine are based on coffee -- I've read that big tea-drinking countries like Japan and the UK have no similar concerns.
@PolarBear517 I've heard of cutting back on caffeine for pregnancy but only no more than 200 mg a day. Also I think it's because the caffeine gets to the fetus once there is a heartbeat or something, not necessarily a TTC worry. IDK. The Mayo Clinic says green tea has 24-45mg of caffeine per 8oz cup, so you could have 4-8 cups a day. Here's a thorough list of caffeine contents but they aren't super specific. IDK how you would tell which green tea has 24mg vs 45, etc. https://www.mayoclinic.org/healthy-lifestyle/nutrition-and-healthy-eating/in-depth/caffeine/art-20049372

We had been hanging out for about 3 weeks before then doing movie nights and group stuff but that was out first formal thing. You know how it's kind of backward in college. When you start out as a drunk make out

GTKY: Kind of like @SnobunnieMel my DH and I were friends in a large friend group for a long time in college before we hooked up. Our first "date" was after that, to get quesadillas at a place near campus just the two of us.

Wow, that family is a real piece of work.
I started vitex this cycle after reading this study: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/17211965. This may also be relevant to you given your PCOS: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/25524718

Our five-year anniversary of our first date (and our wedding anniversary) is tomorrow... crap, I need to get him a card!
then 3 failed IUIs, and finally a successful IVF FET.

R/R: Last night a girlfriend and I went to go see Rascal Flatts in concert. Please shut your trap. Seriously. And don't start talking to me about the middle class and proudly declare you are a high school graduate.. people can be so obnoxious some times.
CS/Q: Nope nothing, just waiting for the FW.
GTKY: (sorry if this is a repeat to anything recent, inn picking up my activity back on this side) what was your first date with SO? My DH was actually best friends with my ex at the time. When things fell apart with the ex, my gf said well what are you going to miss about your relationship (we had been together for 5 years) i said well, DH. She set us up on a few get togethers at her place. There were supposed to be a group of friends coming and well really the only ones she invited were DH and I. We finally got the hint, and set up a real date. We went hiking and out to lunch.

@tripledaggerWed95976 That is the cutest meetup ever!
@Redpuma119 I hate people like that, who selectively do gift giving. My ILs actually send me more stuff than my parents. Since we've been in Korea my mom sent one package and my MIL sends a package every other month basically.
