    Getting a drink in the break room and coworker looks at my belly, "so any day right??" um no mf, 3 more months. My boss walked by and laughed and shook her head. Men, he didn't mean harm but seriously???

    Y'all-I am so irked!!! my DH and I drove an hour to spend time with family today. We get there and my grandma says "hey-I see you're getting fatter."  I failed to laugh it off this time and responded with "did you really just say that? How offensive!"  Later she told me she didn't realize I was so "sensitive" to comments like that. Seriously?!

    ugh-I had so much more typed about another jewel of a person, but it got deleted when I hit post!

    The only rude comment I've gotten from a stranger was when I was about 5 months. She looked at me and asked when I was due, when I told her, she just replied "but you're so biiiiig. She's going to be a huge baby, get ready, just you wait" and winced. Thanks for putting that on me. I replayed that moment a lot in my head when I was diagnosed with GD and proceeded to feel guilty. Super over it now, don't care. But people really need to watch what they say!

    I got my first, "you sure there is only one baby in there???" comment/question the other day. Yes, random lady in the grocery checkout line that I have never met, I'm pretty confident in my OB's ability to read 2 ultrasounds. I thought that was the worst, but then she looked down at my ace-bandaged wrapped feet (the only way I can keep the swelling down these days) and goes, "Why are both of your feet wrapped?" I was stunned out of a smart comeback, so said, "To help with the swelling." THEN SHE GOES "Is that an every day thing or just a pregnancy thing?" What the hell lady, are you writing a book about my life? At this point the cashier dropped the can she was scanning and stared at her open-mouthed. She still had no shame though.

    I keep getting "you are so skinny" "you are tiny, you need to eat more" I have wheat and dairy allergies. I lost 100 pounds pre-pregnancy. Now I am to the point where I tell them I am healthy.

    Working from home has sheltered me from a lot of comments this go around but the one that made me take a step back my last pregnancy was a regular who told me "just you wait, it's a lot more fun making that baby go in that it is to get it out". Uhm, yeah, I'm pretty sure I wasn't expecting child birth to be similar to sex in any way, shape or form. 

    Best part about being a STM so far is that people keep all those dumb labor comments to themselves since they know I've already done it.

    My mother in law officially made the "It looks like there is twins in there" comment.

    First time I got it so far, so close to being done... I tought I was safe.

    Like why? Why would you say something like that, I am measuring right on track too, so it's not like I am actually huge.

    I hate those types of comments... People can be so ignorant. In my case making that baby go in was anything but fun. Three daily injections, about ten different medications to take everyday, invasive vaginal ultrasounds everyday... Then egg retrieval and transfer. Vaginal suppositories that make me leak white goo all day long,

    Ya... nothing about that was fun.

    SO true!!! Yet another reason why people should keep their mouths shut, you never know what other people may have had to go through. I am so happy you are so close to holding your little squish finally! :)

    I have gotten from people, "you are so much bigger than you were when you this far along in your last pregnancy." Well no shit I am pregnant with twins this time around.

    At my last shower, about two weeks ago:
    FIL: You sure you're not having twins?
    Friend of FIL, 10 minutes later: You sure you're not having twins?

    I ignored them both, pretended I didn't hear, but still. No, I am not having twins. I have gained a healthy amount of weight, according to my MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL. 

    At the same shower, my MIL proceeds to tell everyone that she gained 75lb with each of her two children. She is barely 5ft tall. So at least now I know that FIL just doesn't understand what a healthy pregnant woman is supposed to look like.

    @StaceyJeanAckerman I get comments like this too, and honestly, I think I would prefer the "you're getting SO BIG!" comments. When they say things like "You don't look pregnant at all!" I kind of want to snap "What do I look like, then?" and slap them because my stomach DEFINITELY protrudes and I do not look tiny at all. To me it always feels like they're saying "I was playing the Fat-or-Pregnant Game with you and couldn't decide." I've been overweight the majority of my life, it would be nice for people to say I look pregnant while I'm actually, you know, pregnant.

    My husband called me "turnip-shaped" lol.

    @jln27 I feel that same way! My husband tries to make me feel better about my bump. I also have been overweight my whole life. I hope our little ones come out 8 pound babies and these people can eat their words. My doctor has not had any issues with my weight and my babies heartbeat is strong and measuring well.

    I kept getting asked yesterday at my shower how much I've gained. Also I had to measure myself with a measuring tape for a game. Wish they had done it by having people cut ribbon or something that doesn't have to do with any numbers.

    There is nothing better than "oh is this your first?" "No actually this is # 5 for us" "oh wow. Boys? Girls?" "We have 4 girls and this is our first boy" " oh congrats!" "So are you done now???" Uhhhhh what? You assume I tried unsuccessful 4 times and just kept going? I'm sorry but ur an idiot if you have 5 children based solely on sexual preference.  No heffer maybe I'm not done! But until you're the one paying for my children don't ask me that crap!

    @cassloumy  I have done the same thing, usually just a simple "that hurts my feelings" when people say rude things, which they do ALL THE TIME!!! I work with all men and they are just clueless.

    I warned my mom (host) for the shower that if they tried that game I'd be leaving... :P

    #5 here too and am constantly getting asked "is this your last?" How/why does this concern you, stranger, mil, mailman?! Seriously, 1 boy and 3 girls here and I always get "oh I bet you hope it's a boy". Ummmm, no I HOPE it's a healthy baby!!
    I also always get "you should get a hobby"  "don't you have a tv?" OR "you know how that happens, right?"

    Got one of these at the gas station today from the cashiers...
    Cashier "WOW - how many are in there?"
    Me (trying on my best death stare while smiling) "oh just one"
    Cashier "oh honey, that is going to be one HUGE baby!!"
    Me "Well let's hope not. Can I get the change on pump 3?"
    Cashier "ooohhhhh no it will be, I mean you are so big! Well I mean, your belly is"
    Me "....."
    Cashier "OK so the rest on size 3? Oh hahaha it's just that you're so big, of course I meant PUMP"
    Me (not even trying to smile) "yes, pump 3"

    Both cashiers were cracking up the whole time. I didn't even tell them I still had a whole month left to go. Ugh.

    Today a woman at the pharmacy asked me how I was feeling and how much time I had left.  I (feeling like crap today from a cold and a long work week) said I had a month left.  She said Oh my God!  You're so low!  Looks like that baby is about to fall out!  I said yeah well it feels like I'm splitting in half so I guess he dropped already.  
    Keep it to yourself, lady!  I don't need a reminder that I don't just feel like crap, but I also look like it.

    @NashBelle I totally get it. One of my coworkers (who is otherwise sweet) has always told me this entire pregnancy how tired or sick or big I look. Even when I felt great, she'd be like "oooh, are you ok today? You don't look very good."  :/

    Her last day was this last Wednesday. Hallelujah!

    I really did like her except for her tact or lack of it with pregnant women. She's maybe 25 and I can't wait until she experiences her own pregnancy and barrage of thoughtless comments from people.
