I locked my keys in the car. When I got a ride to my house to grab the spare, I realized the spare key was also locked in the car. I had to leave the car and call the dealership in the morning to get the keyless entry code that I failed to memorize or write down somewhere.
I was doing a load of wash and instead of putting the detergent in I went to put a scoop of dry cat food in the machine. We feed the kitties in the laundry room and the food is in top of the washer. Oh boy! I love hearing the pregnancy brain stories because I can relate.
I told OH the other day that we need to think about getting the baby more than just onesies because "it's going to be born on Mars."
He knew I clearly was having pregnancy brain and meant something else so he trolled me for like 2 or 3 minutes after that asking me if we needed to get an airlock and pressure helmet assembly along with the space suit. I just sat there staring at him like, "Uh???"
And then it all kind of connected together. "IN WINTER. NOT ON MARS."
There are things DH won't let me live down from my first pregnancy. Like, mixing up the name Lumber Liquidators for Liquid Lumberdators.
This is not pregnancy related, but since forever almost ANY time I try to say.. (this is gross) my legs are hairy.. it comes out My hairs are leggy. I swear I can't stop it, it just comes out like that. When I DO get it right (really thinking about it) the husband corrects me and tells me no, my hairs are leggy.

Last night I was freaking out looking behind the water heater for the cover to our veggie spiralizer. My husband came in and was like ok ..... uh let me help you, what does it look like? He looked behind the water heater for about 5 minutes then asked where the spiralizer was normally kept, when he looked the cover was RIGHT there. Honestly!!!!
And today I got to work and realized I never put deodorant on! Good thing I have it in my drawer. ugh!!
Last night DH was playing with one of our dogs while the other dog was watching from the bed. I said "Hampton is watching you intimately" instead if "intently" Another moment my brain goes, "this seems close enough"
Yesterday I was driving in the car in terrible traffic and saw a sign that said my exit was 1 1/4 mile away. When I proudly stated I am only a cup and a fourth away! It took me a second to a realize why that didn't sound right!
Hubby and I were going out for an ice cream cone tonight. We walked out by our Mountaineer and I grabbed the handle and it was locked, I looked at hubby and grabbed the handle to show him it was locked, and he looked at me and started laughing. I said what is your problem? He said you have the keys in your hand.....lol Also earlier in the night I made Mashed potatoes and forgot to put the milk away. Thank goodness I noticed it when I went to put my plate in the sink, so it was only left out a short while but I just keep doing things like that. The other day I forgot how much detergent to put into the washer so I used about 3 times more than I should have, but the clothes smelled great.
I do agility with our golden and last night we were running a course, the sequence of numbers for the order of obstacles was 11-20. I kept doing 12 and then trying to do 19 and could not for the life of me figure out what I was doing wrong until I finally gave up and finished, as I walked out of the ring it finally clicked, 13 comes after 12!
I keep forgetting everything. It's making me not feel like myself. Pregnancy brain combined with pregnancy insomnia is making normal tasks a struggle. Super hard for my Type A self. I never thought pregnancy brain was a real thing but OMG, this sucks. Anyone else want to start a support group with me??
I have given my phone number to 3-4 different places lately and I keep giving the wrong number. No idea where the number I'm giving is coming from but it's not mine. Also, the other day at the grocery store I grabbed whole milk instead of 2%, got up to the register and just stared at it like something was wrong. Finally it clicked and luckily the nice clerk went to replace it for me.
I went to Einsteins this morning to get a bagel and it took me much longer than it should have to remember the word 'bagel' when I was ordering. "Can I get uhhhh.....uhhhh.....ummm......shoot!"
All. Day. Long. The other day I repeated a statement to my husband within a few minutes of each other. And I truthfully had no idea that I just did that, lol.
So I was talking to my cousin on Tuesday about the new furniture I have in my sunroom and I had so much trouble thinking of the words for the furniture: "yeah we just got this new thing from ikea, what's it called...it's not an iPhone...or a phantom... ... ...oh! A futon!"
@ceclarlinetlo haha that's funny. I keep forgetting words also, all day long.
Seriously though, pregnant brain all day, every day. Some good stuff I will try to remember to post on here. I sometimes think it's a miracle I remember to feed my fish.
@Kurtni Same! I've started resorting to taking photos of the car from afar to remember. The other day I went to Target and went right to where the car was... but wasn't convinced it was the car for some reason... instead I was convinced that someone stole the car and that someone with the same exact model car had parked there. I have no idea why
Today I asked Siri, "What was I going to ask you?"
Yesterday DH and I went out to eat and the first place we went to was packed so we went to another restaurant next door and their parking lot was considerably less crowded I said "this look as lot less crowded. I hope it's because it's less delicious" when I meant I hope it's not because it's less delicious.
then today DH and I were talking about going to Atlanta this weekend and we were talking about who we could stay with and I said "let's stay with so and so if they are afraid" instead of available
I went to grab a bowl for my cereal this morning and found the salsa jar in the cupboard with all my dishes... Apparently when I was cleaning up from our taco dinner last night, my brain decided the salsa belonged there and not in the fridge oh boy...
