I think my 14 month old is wondering what's wrong with mommy. I just keep laying on the floor while he plays around me. Yesterday I went to puke and he came into the bathroom and rubbed my back. It was very sweet. Actually...I'm not sure if he was rubbing my back, or trying to push past me to get into the cupboard and pull things out. I'm going to say it was rubbing my back...
ugh... why, why are people so insensitive and nosy! Really! I walk/ran to the bathroom as I was overcome with the worst morning sickness and well someone was in the bathroom and saw it all go down... she then proceeded to say to me..oh I take it baby #2 is on the way as I am behind a closed door hanging over a bowl!? No no no... you dont break pregnancy code. Umph I was so out of it Im like please dont say anything its early and no one knows. I've been fuming all day over this. My husband doesn't understand! Now I have to hope she doesn't tell anyone. Im done venting maybe I'll feel better tomorrow
@mrsbakes how annoying is that friend! I too totally think it is rude that someone would even ask if you are expecting. Oh well, just lie to everyone until you are ready!

LADIES: Operation Office Mocktail is a success thus far. Currently at a Cubs game office outing and pregamed at the bar with my employees. Virgin tequila sunrises are delicious, although the bartender loudly asked if I was sure I didn't want tequila in it (uh... NO and I was whispering for a reason). Beer at the field is $10, so everybody just thinks I'm already drunk and being frugal.
@ladameperdue and @MrsBakes - I feel you both. I am doing the same thing! He definitely knows something is up because he's been super clingy all week. Our bond has always been pretty fierce, but this is way out of the ordinary for him. Maybe the hormones have me acting a bit differently. I've been sometimes weepy, often queasy, and very tired, but I thought I was doing a good job sparing him from having to see me feel like that. Kids are so intuitive! He keeps asking, "You otay, mommy?" "Yes, I'm okay. Here's your iPad, lets snuggle for a bit." And the symptoms have only just begun!

We were at the crosstown Classic the night we found out I was pregnant. $10 a beer was a good excuse for me not to drink there. So ridiculous!! I did pig out on hot dogs and nachos, which came to $20!

Always crazy PGAL brain here. I'm literally counting days...I am driving myself crazy but can't help it. I finally get to say I'm 6 weeks tomorrow. I hate the first tri.
PGAL brain is so damn real. I personally feel much better about this pregnancy so far though and H is too which is huge. I still have my doubts but I want to enjoy it while I can. Whether its 5 weeks or 40 weeks. I am grateful to have got this far.

Yes on the PGAL brain! Ugh. After 1 MMC and 3 CP in less than a year, I find myself almost trying to convince myself that I'm having a MMC... it's an awful mind game I play with myself that way (maybe) it won't hurt so much if I find out that I was right.
I feel all of you with PGAL brain. We had two losses this year so I'm kinda in denial right now even though we saw a heart beat on Tuesday. My good friend asked what it was like to have PGAL brain. I told her you lose your pregnancy innocence. Everyday all day you think about a loss and obsess about symptoms all the time. She cried for me, I'm glad she knows our fertility struggles.
Y'all I am totally kicking myself right now - called the OB yesterday to schedule our first appt. She offered for me to come in on the 25th but for some reason I was like nah let's just do it at 8 wks on the 29th. WHAT?! Haha who knows what I was thinking but now it seems like an eternity until we get to see the nugget. I mean 4 days isn't really that much but seriously... what in the world was I thinking??
@dax28 I hear you! I told a friend of mine that I've been worried and she said "well you just shouldn't think that way" i told her after 2 losses in less than a year it's hard not to
I am with you PGAL girls. I only had one very early loss, but it was just last month, so very fresh in my mind. Today (4 weeks, 5 days) is the day I had my MC. It was totally unexpected, no spotting or signs. So, that doesn't help. I woke up at every little twinge last night, at least 20 times. I do have a better feeling this time as well. And also I am having more symptoms than I did last time, so that helps. I will just be happy to get this day over with.

Yeah PGAL brain is awful. Leaving here in about 15 minutes for my US!! The moment of truth is about to be here and I am so unbelievably nervous I can't eat or drink anything at all...and I just woke up after working all night so I know I need to eat or MS is going to rear its ugly head....but I just can't. So any extra happy thoughts and prayers that you can send my way will be greatly appreciated.
My happy hour drink is gin and tonic, so I just ask for Sprite in a small glass with a lime wedge and nobody suspects a thing!
I also love gin and tonics. But I can't take sprite. At home, I'm mocktailing it up with a fresh orange squeezed in a glass of ice and some gingerale. It's hitting the spot at the moment. *clink clink*
Thank you everyone for your well wishes. We got to see our little clump of cells and that wonderful flicker of a heartbeat!! 130s!! We have our first official OB appt with another US on Monday so we will get another chance to see our sweet baby then!
I'm having some spotting. Going in for a check and a rhogam shot (sp?) Because I'm RH negative. Cross your fingers for me. I've had two losses since November
Not much to update. I got the rhogam shot and now I'll know tmrw what my Hcg levels are. They will draw again on Monday. So FX that I don't have more bleeding. TMI: I just had slight brownish pink spotting so hoping it's nothing. Thanks for the positive vibes. With update when I know my first set of numbers
I haven't told a single soul yet. Still not really believing it. This is an unexpected pregnancy; my youngest is about to turn 5 and I'm working while in school full time, so the timing is just dandy...

My numbers for yesterday's draw were 202. Not super high but not terribly low either.. hoping for much higher Monday.
Guys I have a question for those who have experience with flying while pregnant. In a couple weeks I'm flying from LAX and they have those full body scanners at security. All the research I have done seems ok for pregnant women. But, they usually don't send clearly showing women through them. My PGAL brain is paranoid and I kinda want to ask for a private pat down, I just don't want to make it into a whole hassle or a scene. Thoughts?
